Perrin Gas

After I moved in to my house, I had and energy audit done, which identified a number of small gas leaks in piping in my basement. After reading reviews on Angie's List, I contacted Eric Perrin, who was located nearby. Eric quickly set up a time to do the work, and closely investigated all the reported leaks. He found that several of them were not real leaks, but did identify two areas for repair. He had materials on hand and quickly replaced small sections of pipe and sealed leaks at pipe junctions. The work was done quickly, affordable, and perhaps most important - honestly. Eric took the time to review all of the piping, and made recommendations for when I would install a gas range or dryer. I was very happy with his responsiveness and the quality of the work. I would not hesitate to call him again if I have any gas service needs.

Very easily could have taken us for a ride, but was honest, up-front, and practical. I would not hesitate to recommend Perrin to a friend or family, and will no doubt consider him "my guy" when it comes to any gas work that I need to have done in the future.

Eric does awesome work, is honest, and has a very positive personality. He gave me a great price and was able to come do the work within a couple days of calling him. We needed someone to replace the parts in our old grill with the new parts we already had. Eric had to take the old gas valve out by cutting it off. Then he installed the new gas valve, and replaced the knobs, wooden handles and burners. He checked to make sure that the grill was now working properly and that there were no gas leaks. He went above and beyond by painting the grill. When he was all done, the grill looked like new. Also, we needed him to dig up and check a small section of the gas line to the grill, which was accidentally cut and repaired by a landscaper about 18 years ago. Eric showed me that it was in great shape and not leaking, before he reburied it. I would definitely hire him again. I highly recommend him.

Prompt, knowledgeable and fair ($). Eric Perrin arrived at the agreed upon time and within ten minutes had diagnosed the problem and had a plan of attack. The corroded gas pipe traversed under a concrete stoop, which I thought would have to be partially removed. Eric removed the damaged pipe and replaced the line in two sections which resulted in only the slighest impairment to the stoop. The entire project took him less than two hours. (fyi, he charges by the job, not by the hour.) His work was clean, precise and professional. I would definitely hire him again and refer him to anyone in need of gas-related repairs.

He was great. He came out the next day. He was in and out. He fixed thr problem like he was never there. He had a good service record online so I thought I'd give him a shot. The price was very reasonable, very good. It's not bad at all. He was on time. He's a very nice guy. He's actually coming back to do some other stuff at my house.

Responded promptly and fixed a leak in a gas grill line same day and at a fair price

I called him at noon, i needed a gas line connected to a new gas dryer, because Best Buy wouldn't do it after they dropped it off. I was without a dryer for 2 weeks and literally couldn't find anyone who would do it. Called Eric at noon one day, he came over at 5, and was done before 6. Great service, fast too.

The grill looks like it did when it was first purchased. It's perfect.

He gave us an estimate and came out the next day and did the work. He was quick and efficient . He is polite, charming man. I plan to have him remove my gas lights and put in a new gas fireplace. I will definitely recommend him to friends.

We called in the morning because our water heater had sprung a leak and died overnight. They were able to come out in the afternoon and install a new water heater. They arrived when they said they would arrive; they removed the old water heater and installed a new one; and they even fixed a potentially serious problem with the gas piping to the water heater which they discovered at no additional charge. As one might imagine, removing and replacing a water heater is a wet and messy proposition. However, when they left, there was no sign that they had ever been here, other than the new water heater. We would definitely use them again if the need arises.

Mr. Perrin was quick, clean and respectful. Arrived on time and was able to finish the job quickly.

Eric was extremely responsive to our call. He was able to show up in an few hours where as all the other places we called couldn't come out for at least a week. The gas company had turned off our gas on a very cold day with a newborn at home, so we were very appreciative of Eric's responsiveness and quickness. He was very professional and prompt with the repair.

Eric was on vacation when we contacted him initially, but still responded right away- offered without prompting to come out on a Sunday at no extra cost. We were concerned about gas leak- none was found, and he apologized for charging us the minimum rate! (Well worth the money in my opinion.) We will definitely use him again if we need gas work/appliance installation done.

Perrin is the absolute king of gas leak repair - do not trust anyone else! In about an hour or so, he fixed the problems that have been plaguing me for months! I am so appreciative! He's honest, ethical, highly skilled, efficient, incredibly friendly, kind, REALLY affordable and explains everything to me so I know what my options are! He's the BEST! I had another company remove & redo my gas lines, after having several leaks. Then the NEW pipes leaked, even after trying to fix it, with several weeks going by. I wish I had known about Perrin, as I would have used him, and avoided all that stress! He does it right! I had a company repair my hot water heater, only to have it break 5 hours later. I asked Perrin for an estimate to replace it & he actually talked me out of it, convincing me he could repair it for a fraction of the cost - and he did! I was ready to write a check and he genuinely wanted to help me. He did the right thing & I'm so grateful! Thank you Perrin! A++++++++++++

I contacted Perrin Gas through Angie's list and got a call back that day. We arranged for a house call on the following Wed. He called about 40 minutes in advance to give me an ETA. He arrived and was a totally pleasant/cheery kind of guy. He got right to investigating. In this case, there was nothing wrong with the gas line, just an issue with how the log rack was fit into the fireplace. He then let me know that we probably needed to replace the artificial logs, etc. in there - I couldn't argue, they looked to be a million years old and the grey ashy stuff in the bottom of the fireplace (artificial grey ashy stuff) he said they don't even use it any more. "But," he said, "I'm not here to sell you something. If you decide to upgrade though, here's the product I recommend, check it out online. I can get you a pretty good price." - I know! Sounds salesy - but I hate those types and he was incredibly pleasant and easy and he continued on to look at another gas project we might do one day (switch from electric to gas stove). Long and short, I took him up on his offer. Purchased two new sets of ceramic logs and he threw in an auto-igniter on one of our fireplaces. He returned to install them the following week; was in and out in about 30 minutes. The fires burn beautifully - we went from using neither fireplace to being able to have one on all the time. Seriously, sometimes you do one little thing to make your house a home and it makes a big difference. This was one of those things. Highly recommend these guys (I got to work with Eric and his brother).

Left a message for Eric on Saturday and he called right back. We scheduled an appointment for Monday. Eric came exactly when he said he would and quickly replaced the damaged valve and the oven ignitor. The service was fast and friendly. I would definitely use Perrin Gas again and would recommend them to others.

Eric is professional and personable. I called Eric and explained the work needed. He was able to give me an estimate over the phone. He arrived on time and with all necessary materials. He stuck by his estimated cost and time for the project. I will use and recommend Perrin Gas in the future.

My service experience was outstanding from start to finish! Let me start by saying that our gas was turned off in December because of a concern that the gas pipes might be leaking. Out of 4 vendors, Eric Perrin was the only one that called in response to our emergency situation. He asked that I use my phone to take a brief video of the pipes. With that he was able to give me an estimate over the phone. We scheduled the work for that night. Eric and his partner were prompt and extremely professional. They worked quickly and efficiently, explaining everything as they went. They finished the entire project within 3 hours, and their price was exactly as they estimated. I can also add that the other estimates we received were 8 to 10 times higher. And if that wasn't fantastic enough, Eric remained "on call" for our visit with People's Gas the next day. When they came, he offered to talk with them over the phone, and his conversation helped them to correctly diagnose the problem on their end. BOTTOM-LINE: A CALL TO PERRIN GAS IS THE BEST CALL YOU CAN MAKE!!

Eric and Michael arrived on time, assessed the job and went to work. My house was built in 1969 with a true masonry fireplace but without a gas starter. It was not an easy job at all, they had to go into the crawlspace and drill through the firebricks and the floor to install the line and starter. They did an outstanding job, they were exceptionally clean, wonderfully polite and they knew exactly what they were doing and went at it without any complaints. The price, for what they did, how difficult it was and how long it took was a fabulous bargain. I mentioned this to a neighbor and he told me that he paid $500 for the installation of his gas starter 15 years ago! My only concern is that I failed to ask for a receipt for my house records but I will call them for this.

Eric gave me a quote over the phone after giving him the details on what I wanted done and how many feet of pipe he had to run. Once Eric came out to the house, he realized job would being larger than anticipated. He explained that he didn't want to rush the job and wanted to rescheduled to get it done right. He kept to his initial estimate and even fixed my gas leak that day with no payment upfront. He came back a week later to run the two new gas lines (stove & dryer). Neither runs were straight forward and we ran though the options together. Once deciding on how to run the pipe, he was done in about 3 hours. Two weeks later, I realized that the laundry gas line was improperly placed for my new washer/dryer. The units would not sit flush due to the protruding gas line. I called Eric back and explained the situation. He came back two days later and tucked the line behind the drywall allowing the the new dryer to sit flush. Having said that, Eric didn't even hint and charging me for the second trip. Highly recommended. Don't hesitate to hire Eric for you gas needs.

Returned call promptly. Arrived at appointed time, determined problems and completed repair quickly and effectively. Cleaned up work area.

WAY above expectations. The quality of the materials used were excellent - the workmanship was great. The improvement was done quickly and to a high standard. Representative took the time to fully explain how everything worked and made sure I was satisfied before leaving. A+

He did a great a job. It is an old house(1896) and it he did really well in this situation. I would definitely recommend him.
