We chose Park's over a few other plumbing services because we were impressed with their analysis of what was needed after we had a basement flooded with 3 to 4 feet of sewer water despite a working sump pump. They installed a new, much more powerful pump and larger pipes to clear the water much more efficiently. They also checked the sewer for problems and we were happy they found none.

The service person called ahead, arrived on time and worked efficiently to replace the pump even though he had to work during a light rain shower.

They have a good reputation. We’ve used them in the past. We decided not to go with them this time just based on the pricing. They are good. The quote was between $10000 and $12000 I guess. They have an excellent reputation and they have done good work for us in the past. I cannot say specifically because it’s been five to ten years now. They have done good work and they have the reputation for doing that work. The man who came out was very knowledgeable and competent. I don’t recall his name though. People can expect quality work from them and they’ll pay for that. They were fine and responsive. They were on time. They were professional. I will use their services again in the future.

He was very professional. He went the extra mile while he was doing the work. I recommend them highly.

Throughout the entire process, stretching some three months from first estimate to the work being finished, they handled themselves with complete professionalism. When I called with an issue they responded promptly. They tried hard to work with me in what I wanted within the constructs of what needed to be done. They were excellent at communication. The work was done in the time frame they said and at the cost they said. I did have one issue with them that bothers me. The new sump pit was supposed to drain into the yard, but the city of Chicago inspector wouldn't permit that and made us tie it into the main sewer line. This may potentially cause us problems down the road b/c if the backflow preventer is necessary but we are still putting in sump pit water behind it then that sump water could back up into our basement. We didn't have a choice b/c the city inspector demanded it, so that part is not Parks' fault. But Parks should have known that was a city code requirement and told me that. It might have made a difference in relation to the work I would have chosen to do. We have not yet experienced the spring/summer/fall rains with these new systems, so I cannot comment on their reliability yet. But overall, I was very pleased with Parks other than the city code problem they should have known about. I would certainly use them again.

They did a nice job. Fernando carefully examined the needs of the project with me the day prior to the job. Installing pedestals to existing bathrooms and existing plumbing can be tricky and I wanted it done only if feasible ...and only if properly done. It took two men approximately 4 hours to do the work. I was not around when the work was done as I was at work myself. When I got home the new pedestal did exactly what I thought it would do.... upgraded the beauty and functionality of the bathroom ... it looked great! In examining the work, I believe the guys did a really nice job. Good clean up too. I've hired Parks before and have always been satisfied.

I was happy with not only their work, but the communication was outstanding as well! The president of the company actually came our himself to explain the work being performed. I really appreciated the personal touch. They were professional and courteous every step of the way. We've had a lot of flooding in the area and I haven't seen a drop! I received several estimates and while their's wasn't the cheapest, it was the best value for the quality of the service. I can't recommend them highly enough!

They did not get back to me when the sewer was backing up--there was no emergency number for when we were having a problem. I think they gave us a refurbished part for the price of a new part, unfortunately.

The plumbers come fully uniformed, they are on time and give you a full estimate. I've had them in emergency situations and went to an outside vedor when I had a sewage problem. I was very grateful. They come out asap, and they let you know if they can't come out. They always give priority to people who are in trouble. They also follow up. They are not the cheapest, or the highest in regards to the price, but they are worth it. They do the job once and I never had a problem again. Depending of the work, they do offer a warranty, but I've never had to have them out a second time. They do the job right the first time. I also love that the clean up after themselves. They always call back within 30 minutes of you call - even after hours.

I was satisfied with their service. The price was reasonable. I would recommend to others.

It was great. He was very, very good. He came out in the middle of the flood for us.

I expected a 2-day project. I insisted that Parks obtain all required permits. Scheduled start date was 9/8. Called on 9/8 and was told that start date was moved to 9/16. Vault floor and valves replaced on 9/16. I reminded Parks about village permit requirements. Village inspector came on 9/22. Called Parks to find out when work would be completed. Concrete floor poured week of 9/22. Called Parks again to find out when work would be completed. Electrician replaced electrical outlet on 9/30. Called Parks once more to find out when plumbing would be completed and was told it would be during the week of 10/6. Three weeks after the date originally promised, the work is still not complete. Note that all the personnel performing the work were friendly, neat and competent.

The service was good. They were professional. They gave us good suggestions. They stuck to their original estimate. I would recommend them and use them again.

They were fine, and they've done a lot of work in the area. So far it's been good, but I was a little annoyed with them not checking up afterward, and not checking on a problem we may have had, but so far it's been fine. The problem could have been an old problem from years ago. I would probably still recommend them.

Last August, during a period of heavy rains, our flood control system started tripping the circuit breaker regularly. We called Parks one morning and someone was able to come out the very same day. The guy did an outstanding job. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I got the sense that he was very familiar with various designs of flood control systems, even if they were not originally designed by or installed by Parks.

We have used them before for heavy duty plumbing, so we tried calling them for something smaller, but they charged a lot. They are excellent for bigger jobs; it s just that because of the way they structure their pricing, they are too expensive for smaller jobs. Next time, I will try to find another plumber for something like this.

I can t say anything, but good things about them. They are very reliable and dependable. I like it that they remind me to check my plumbing every year. They always come when they are supposed to. I had an excellent experience with this company.

We have used Parks Plumbing before, to install a "clean out" they were wonderful. This time, however, has been a bad experience. This entire process began over a month ago without any resolution. They have set appointments only to cancel, and ultimately have charged us money without fixing anything. At present they have not returned calls to proceed with either fixing the problem or refunding us our payment so we can hire someone else. In addition to what we paid Parks, it ended up costing us another $150 purchasing a faucet, which it turned out we did not need.

Every time they come out for us it is always prompt and they get right down to business. They are courteous, neat and their prices are reasonable. I can and do recommend them to others and will continue to use them in the future.

They came promptly, they were clean, professional. Came in and took care of the problem in under a half-an-hour. Explained pricing, gave an estimate. Got everything done quickly, cleaned up, informed me about additional services. I was quite pleased.

The price was half as much as my other estimate. The foreman came out the same day I called & gave an estimate. He told me a guy would come out the next day to do the job at 8 AM & the guy came on time.

PARKS PLUMBING HAS BEEN A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH, MOSTLY DUE TO THEIR EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE & HONESTY. THEY WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR A PROBLEM THAT CAUSED SOME FLOODING IN OUR BASEMENT, & THEY ACTED SWIFTLY & RESPONSIBLY TO REMEDY IT TO OUR SATISFACTION. WE HAD A COMPANY OUT PROFESSIONALLY DRYING UP OUR BASEMENT A FEW HOURS LATER. WE NEVER HAVE TO ARGUE WITH THEM OVER BILLING MATTERS, & WE THINK THAT PARKS PLUMBING IS A VERY RELIABLE, CUSTOMER FRIENDLY COMPANY, WHICH IS REFRESHING, ESPECIALLY WITH ALL THE OTHER TROUBLE MAKERS OUT THERE.

OVERALL THEY DID A GOOD JOB. IT WAS OBVIOUS TO US THEY ARE EXPERIENCED WITH THIS KIND OF WORK. THE JOB WAS PAINLESS TO US, WHICH IS KEY. PARKS & I WERE WORRIED ABOUT THE BRITTLE CLAY PIPE WE HAD TO TAP INTO FOR NEW WATER SERVICE. AS WE HELD OUR BREATH, THE NEW TAP WORKED WITHOUT ANY CRACKING OR BREAKING. WE ALL CHEERED! SCHEDULING OUR JOB WAS DIFFICULT. IT TOOK THEM A WHILE TO GET US GOING, BUT IT SEEMS OUR JOB WAS SMALL COMPARED TO OTHERS. THEY "SQUEEZED" US IN BETWEEN LARGER DEVELOPER/EMERGENCY JOBS. OUR NEW WATER SERVICE WORKS GREAT & THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. WE ARE HAPPY TO REPORT THAT PARKS DID A GOOD JOB & THAT WE REFER THEM TO FELLOW ANGIE'S LIST CUSTOMERS.
