Mike and his team were responsive, reliable and followed through on every promised date of delivery.  They were able to exactly match the existing wood flooring and they also took the time to tell us to wait on final coat of finish and polish until all repairs were made on our refinished home.  Mike was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend his services.

We hired someone else to refurnish our hardwood floors and they did a less than stellar job applying the finish. Mike came in, rebuffed the floor, and applied a new coat of semi-gloss. They now look as good as new.

Mike's crew had  great attention to detail and explained the procedures used. 
They were also helpful in selecting a stain color and making sure the
stain on the refinished floor matched the stain on the floor in the
bedrooms.  We would definitely use them again.

Overall, it went very well.  Mike answered his phone on my first call, and provided very good detail on what would be involved fo the refinishing and how the process worked.  I was required to purchase the deal first and then he would come out to the house to look over the project.  He said if I didn't want to go forward with the floor finishing, he would refund the money.  He came out a couple of days later, and gave me and my wife confidence that the project would go well.  As it was about 3 weeks until Mike could schedule our project, he answered my several phone calls, as I had a number of follow-up questions before the project started.  His workers, George and his partner, showed up as scheduled.  George took time to explain how long it would take, and what they would be doing.  The guys gave us an opportunity to look at stain colors on our floor, before they started the job.  George was very open about his concerns that our pickled oak colored floor was bleached before the last sanding, and it may result in white spots coming through the dark stain.  We decided to go ahead with the dark stain.  George and his assistant did a great job on sanding and staining.  George did a great job sanding out the indentations and bleach.  The staining was flawless. Overall, I couldn't have asked for more.  The floor is perfect, and really changed the look of our house.  I would recommend Mike's Hardwood Flooring to anyone!

Mike came out and gave me an accurate estimate for the work to be performed.  Originally, I tried to contact the contractor that installed the original wood floors to buy the same wood as found in the rest of my unit but after several calls and a trip by Mike to obtain the wood, it became clear we could not get that wood.  Mike ordered a wood that fairly closely matched the wood in my rooms, in fact, it is a prettier wood with wonderful grain.  Two men showed up on time to install the floor and worked hard to complete the installation.  They were courteous throughout the process and careful in their work  I am very impressed with how detail oriented they were matching up lines with my other floor even though there was a threshold between the rooms.  The cuts in the wood were exacting even though they finished the installation with quarter round, painted it to match my trim.  Additionally, they covered existing furniture and were careful to return the furniture to it's original location and clean up.  The floors are beautiful and completely changed the look of the room.  I would highly recommend Mike's group for your floors.

I started with two estimates and Mike was slightly higher ($300) than the other one but he also agreed to refinish a small entryway and help move my furniture for his price (the other company would not). I also just LIKED him better. He is prompt, he communicated with me every step of the way and the men working for him (Jorge and crew) were polite, professional and talented. The floors look great. Prior to their arrival I boxed everything from my 2nd floor and they helped move all furniture and boxes to the 1st floor. This made the process go swiftly. They started Monday morning at 9:00 AM and the floors were completely dry and walkable by Thursday morning. The fumes were almost undetectable because they cover all entryways with plastic. My two cats and I were able to sleep downstairs the whole time. There was no mess or sawdust upon their departure. Jorge even helped me put my bed frames back together! It was a great experience and I would absolutely use them again.

The owner came out a week prior to the work being started to go over exactly what was going to be done during the job. During this time he provided a schedule for when I needed to be out of the house and when to return. All of the timelines were met exactly as he described they would be. When I got back to the house everything looked absolutely gorgeous, pristine, exactly what I was hoping for when I hired them to do the job. To conclude my review I would like to say that the owner was very professional and the job done at my home was absolutely perfect.

Mike responded quickly to a request for an estimate; coming out the same day.   The estimate was comprehensive and our options were clearly explained.
We asked Mike to come with samples of the finish and go over the estimate again; which Mike did willingly.
We were able to schedule the work within a 3 week window.   The team arrived on time every day and were superb.   Our furniture was treated as carefully as if each piece was owned by the team. 
5 days later our foors are brand new, all our furniture back in place and we could not be happier.

It was one of the best experiences I have had.  They did a wonderful job.  I was very pleased with their overall professionalism, quality of work and their eagerness to ensure that we were very satisfied with the job.  They stayed on schedule from start to finish.  He spelled out what they were going to do, and they did everything as promised.  They were very polite and very easy to work with.  I would hire them again in a heart beat and wouldn't hesitate recommending them.
And by the way, my new floors look lovely.

First, Mike returned my call promptly and was very informative over the phone.  He was able to give me plenty of information even with the little detail I could provide.  Just in the first call I felt like I had a good understanding of the scope of work and what options were available.  Next, the team was able to accommodate my tight time frame - we only had 5 days time between closing on a house and moving in and I wanted to have the floors refinished and other work done... Mike's crew was their early the day after close, on a Saturday!  The work was done promptly in one day and care was taken with our new home.  Mike's estimate was our final price for service and we're extremely pleased with the results.  The floors look great and we felt comfortable leaving the crew there unattended.

Overall, they did a decent job, they showed up on time and worked hard for two days to complete the job quickly.  When refinishing the floors they didn't move the fridge or stove to finish beneath either.  They sanded beneath the fridge but didn't finish.  The guys who put the final product on did a lousy job.  I had to call them back twice to fix spots that they had missed.  It was ok, as they came back with no questions asked, but they shouldn't have to and that part is a little annoying for the customer.  I'm sure it's annoying on their end to find good help.

He was really great. He was flexible, easy to work with and knowledgeable.

Mike evaluated what had to be done to our floor.  He suggested he come back in a few weeks to do the job.  He was professional in his approach and explained the problems that would arise and offered us the opportunity not to have the work donel  He explained how the floor would look and we were willing to have him do the work.  The floor turned out to be much better than he anticipated and we were thrilled.  Would hire him again.

I let them in and went back to work for the day and I came home to brand new looking floors so really well as far as I'm concerned.

After I bought the big deal, Mike came to our house and looked at the hardwood floors in our bedrooms and hallway.  I asked him for a price for a new hardwood floor for the living room.
He gave us an extremely fair price and we decided to schedule to get this job done.  We had to remove three rooms of furniture, four closets but the job turned out to be great for cleaning and getting rid of old items.  
 We scheduled a hotel room for the night we removed all of our furniture (which included our bedrooms) and for four additional nights following the sanding and finishing as the house does get a little sandy and gritty despite Mike attempt to comtain the dust.  There is also a strong odor associated with the staining and poly finishs and I have a daughter with asthma.  After the job was completed , I used many fans and air purifiers to clean the air quality in the house.  
We are back in, our furniture is put back in and I couldn't be happier.  The floors look beautiful.  Mike and his crew were great.  Thank you for a job well done.

Great experience.  Solicited four estimates (all highly rated via Angie's List) and Mike provided the best combination of insights, recommendations and price.  Clearly knows his business and he provided oversight to a very accomplished crew.  The team was extremely hardworking, punctual, attentive to detail and provided great results.  I'm still amazed at how well they repaired the flooring and matched the stain color the existing floors - it looks terrific and would definitely use this company again.  Highly recommend!

Mike came by for the estimate, and his estimate was the lower of the two I received. He walked in with a positive attitude and showed confidence that he could make the floors look great. I wasn't ready for them to start the project right away, so called him back a few weeks later and we set a date to begin the work. Overall the project spanned over 3 days and went very well. The guys did a great job and were very timely, professional, and respectful. The floors were on pretty bad shape, and they looked AMAZING once the work was completed. They had to replace a couple of boards and they blend in very nicely so you can't even tell where the new boards are.

The service was great and the floors never looked better. We went out of town over thanksgiving weekend and Mike completed the job while we were gone. He left the house in perfect shape and it was incredibly clean. I would definitely use him again.

Well. Once scheduled, the work was performed as desired with beautiful results. I would definitely use them again.

The work itself was fabulous. Many other contractors commented on the nice work they did. Even our painter who was very picky also commented on their nice work. We are very pleased with their work. Even the stairway, they did a fabulous job. The quality of work is well worth the money.

Mike stopped by in October, explained the process, and gave us a couple options for additional work beyond the two rooms covered by the deal.  He also gave us tips on maintaining the hardwood floors throughout the house.  We decided to just get the floors in two rooms refinished at this time, since we had to remove all the furniture from the rooms being worked on and put it elsewhere for a couple days.
Mike's crew showed up on the scheduled date on time, and got right to work.  They had a variety of professional-grade sanding and finishing equipment.  They removed the closet doors for me, put down dropcloths on the stairs and hallway, moved their gear upstairs and got to work.  The work was done by late afternoon, with two coats of finish on the floors, and the closet doors reinstalled.  There was no dust or mess left behind.
The floors, which were in terrible condition before, now look brand new.
