First, Mike returned my call promptly and was very informative over the phone. He was able to give me plenty of information even with the little detail I could provide. Just in the first call I felt like I had a good understanding of the scope of work and what options were available. Next, the team was able to accommodate my tight time frame - we only had 5 days time between closing on a house and moving in and I wanted to have the floors refinished and other work done... Mike's crew was their early the day after close, on a Saturday! The work was done promptly in one day and care was taken with our new home. Mike's estimate was our final price for service and we're extremely pleased with the results. The floors look great and we felt comfortable leaving the crew there unattended.

Overall, they did a decent job, they showed up on time and worked hard for two days to complete the job quickly. When refinishing the floors they didn't move the fridge or stove to finish beneath either. They sanded beneath the fridge but didn't finish. The guys who put the final product on did a lousy job. I had to call them back twice to fix spots that they had missed. It was ok, as they came back with no questions asked, but they shouldn't have to and that part is a little annoying for the customer. I'm sure it's annoying on their end to find good help.

He was really great. He was flexible, easy to work with and knowledgeable.

Mike evaluated what had to be done to our floor. He suggested he come back in a few weeks to do the job. He was professional in his approach and explained the problems that would arise and offered us the opportunity not to have the work donel He explained how the floor would look and we were willing to have him do the work. The floor turned out to be much better than he anticipated and we were thrilled. Would hire him again.

I let them in and went back to work for the day and I came home to brand new looking floors so really well as far as I'm concerned.

After I bought the big deal, Mike came to our house and looked at the hardwood floors in our bedrooms and hallway. I asked him for a price for a new hardwood floor for the living room. He gave us an extremely fair price and we decided to schedule to get this job done. We had to remove three rooms of furniture, four closets but the job turned out to be great for cleaning and getting rid of old items. We scheduled a hotel room for the night we removed all of our furniture (which included our bedrooms) and for four additional nights following the sanding and finishing as the house does get a little sandy and gritty despite Mike attempt to comtain the dust. There is also a strong odor associated with the staining and poly finishs and I have a daughter with asthma. After the job was completed , I used many fans and air purifiers to clean the air quality in the house. We are back in, our furniture is put back in and I couldn't be happier. The floors look beautiful. Mike and his crew were great. Thank you for a job well done.

Great experience. Solicited four estimates (all highly rated via Angie's List) and Mike provided the best combination of insights, recommendations and price. Clearly knows his business and he provided oversight to a very accomplished crew. The team was extremely hardworking, punctual, attentive to detail and provided great results. I'm still amazed at how well they repaired the flooring and matched the stain color the existing floors - it looks terrific and would definitely use this company again. Highly recommend!

Mike came by for the estimate, and his estimate was the lower of the two I received. He walked in with a positive attitude and showed confidence that he could make the floors look great. I wasn't ready for them to start the project right away, so called him back a few weeks later and we set a date to begin the work. Overall the project spanned over 3 days and went very well. The guys did a great job and were very timely, professional, and respectful. The floors were on pretty bad shape, and they looked AMAZING once the work was completed. They had to replace a couple of boards and they blend in very nicely so you can't even tell where the new boards are.

The service was great and the floors never looked better. We went out of town over thanksgiving weekend and Mike completed the job while we were gone. He left the house in perfect shape and it was incredibly clean. I would definitely use him again.

The work itself was fabulous. Many other contractors commented on the nice work they did. Even our painter who was very picky also commented on their nice work. We are very pleased with their work. Even the stairway, they did a fabulous job. The quality of work is well worth the money.

Mike stopped by in October, explained the process, and gave us a couple options for additional work beyond the two rooms covered by the deal. He also gave us tips on maintaining the hardwood floors throughout the house. We decided to just get the floors in two rooms refinished at this time, since we had to remove all the furniture from the rooms being worked on and put it elsewhere for a couple days. Mike's crew showed up on the scheduled date on time, and got right to work. They had a variety of professional-grade sanding and finishing equipment. They removed the closet doors for me, put down dropcloths on the stairs and hallway, moved their gear upstairs and got to work. The work was done by late afternoon, with two coats of finish on the floors, and the closet doors reinstalled. There was no dust or mess left behind. The floors, which were in terrible condition before, now look brand new.

He estimated the job and started almost immediately .I was very pleased with their punctuality and the professionalism they all displayed. The crew worked hard all day and ran over their time estimates by two hours to make the job look completely professional.

Excellent work matching stain and adjacent area. Work was done in 4 hours and ready for foot traffic that evening. Very neat and careful job by men who knew what they were doing.

The appointment went very well. They told us during the quote what specifically to do in advance, what to expect the day of and what to do to make sure the floors were dry before we stepped on them. When they arrived, they revied the above with us and during the process would explain what they were doing. There was one spot that dried with bubbles. I called back and they agreed to come back at our convenience without question to fix it. I recommended them to our neighbor who was impressed at how nice they turned out.

Mike worked with us to find a date and time to complete the work in my home. Once we were able to find a date and time, his team did a great job to sand and refinish my floors with two coats of poly all in one day. They completed the work very thoroughly and it turned out very, very well.

I arranged for Mike and his team to do the work while we would be out of town. I provided him with a key so he could come and go during the three days he expected this to take. When finished, he locked the doors and left the key on the kitchen counter. The GOOD THINGS 1. They were on time. 2. They completed all the work requested. 3. They left things VERY CLEAN (I was impressed by that). 4. There was nothing else moved or disturbed in the house, so my faith in their integrity and honesty was correct. The NOT SO GOOD THINGS 1. When I got the bill, it was for $940 - in other words, for the full $1500 total. I asked about this (i.e., effectively not getting my Angie's List discount). He said that the discount was already included - that his 'extra' work was really about $1000 worth, especially because of using the water based finish. I didn't like that explanation, but didn't argue it. 2. The floor color was not the same as my original. It came out several shades darker. It was not bad looking, but just not what I expected it to be, and it certainly did not match the area that I requested. 3. There were a few places where crack filler was applied in small gaps where board shrinkage over time had left opening of pehraps half-millimeter or so. Apparently, the final surface coats caused the crack filler to expand, because in several places it had 'oozed' upward slightly so it was NOT flush with the floorboard. 4. Though I am not an expert, it appeared to me that the coats of the surfacing material may have been applied one over the other without waiting sufficient drying time. There are what appears to me to be some small areas where the finish coating is not even. And the final surface is not as 'vibrant' looking as I hoped it would be. Though it is nicely clear, it is relatively flat, and has no sheen like I expected. The FINAL ANALYSIS You get what you pay for. This was a relatively inexpensive job (even though I did end up paying more than I expected). And while I believe Mike is an honest businessman and his work is acceptable, I am generally accustomed to true high-quality workmanship. This was not of that caliber. Had I been at home while the work was occurring, I may have been in a better position to intervene and get the floor color and/or crack filling satisfaction I expected.

Beautiful work! Mike was great to work with and flexible with his schedule. His price was very competitive and his guys did a fantastic job. We were very happy we made the decision to get the floors done with his company.

I kept having to wait for an appointment. He was not prepared for the volume of people who signed up and fell behind.

After forgetting to show up when originally scheduled, Mike rescheduled and began on time. The job took several steps but was completed within a week. they showed up when they said they would and worked around my daily schedule.The men moved the heavy furniture and put it back at the end. They cleaned up after themselves each day. Considering how much dust this could have created they did an excellent job of managing the mess. They consulted with me about matching the shape and stain color for the new trim. When they were finished everything looked great.

This is a very difficult floor to put in. Mike and his team were awesome. They were punctual, meticulous and overall very professional. We couldn't believe how patient they were by selecting specific pieces of wood to use. At one point we thought we were going to run out of wood and panicked. However, they made sure they used each piece carefully to make sure we didn't run out. When they were done, they cleaned up and left the room cleaner than it was before they came! The floors look fabulous! I would definitely recommend then to anyone. Too bad I have no more floors to put down! Would definitely use again. Very reasonable and great communication. Thanks again!
