Mike came over the same day I called.  I needed very specific days due to relocation.  He accomodated so well I brought his crew back to finish the rest of the house.  Some of the best money I have spent.  The house was roughly appraised at 405K pre floor work and some painting, post work it is now on the market for 489K.  Amazing transformation and professionalism.  The crew worked on Friday night and Saturday late into the evening to accomodate my tight schedule.  There is no one else that I could possible reommend like Mike.

Overall the project went extremely well from start to finish.

We originally went with a different company to get hardwood floors in our condo but after the worst experience imaginable (which concluded with them telling us that we could NOT get hardwood floors installed in our unit - after they sold us not one but two types of hardwood floors) we found Mike and his company on Angie's List.  AND I'm extremely glad we did.

I am a project manager for Good Haven Properties. We took 3 bids, one from Mike, the owner at Mike's Hardwwod Flooring, for a project involving replacement, repair and refinishing of existing hardwood flooring in a 2 story single family home. He was right on time for the estimate, asked pertinent questions about the job and I received the quote from him that afternoon. His price was very reasonable and follow up excellent. The owners decided to go with him. Dorin and his crew showed up on time for all days of work. They delivered the new wood flooring on Monday to let it cure for a day before work began on Tuesday. They took out one room of old hardwood flooring on the first floor and replaced it with new red oak which they did a great job of staining to match the flooring in adjacent rooms. Also sanded and stained the staircase treads to match floors on the first floor and installed all new wood over old flooring on the entire second floor. Sanded and sealed all the wood floors in the house with a top quality water based sealer. And installed new primed quarter round molding on all new floors. They were finished by Thursday. (I forgot to mention that we were under huge time constraints for this job - Mike gave us the estimate on a Friday and the job was completed by the next Thursday afternoon) Dorin and his crew did an amazing job, they were organized, on time, skilled and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. I would absolutely hire them again.

Mike's team of installers did a fantastic job on the installation of our hardwood - I could not be happier with the result.  The team worked long days and over the weekend to finish the job in 4 days.  I cannot say enough about the professionalism and responsiveness of Enzo, the job's lead installer.  Enzo explained the overall timeline of the job and then at the end of each day he would explain what the next day would entail.  At the end of the job, Enzo and Benjamin did a great job vacuuming and cleaning up the residual dust from the installation.  I  will definitely be using Mike's Hardwood Flooring in the future and would recommend them to anyone.

It was done very well, theres always a little dust but thats expected when sand all the floors in the house.
The finish they left was Beautiful!

A great group to work with. Mike was very clear in outlining what he would - and would not - do. He was very clear in outlining options, including alternative finishes and trade offs. His written quote was very clear. He was very responsive to my many questions. Phone calls were always returned within the day. Carlos and his crew arrived on time and worked tirelessly. Their work was excellent, even correcting the botched work that was done by a previous floor company. They were careful around the house and did their best to control the inevitable dust of sanding. They did a good job of cleaning up when they were done. Carlos was also vey helpful with matching stain on our existing floors. The finished product is fantastic. It's great to see the original floors in this 90 year old house look so great.

I called mike for an estimate on Wednesday. He came over on Thursday night and had guys working by Friday 7am. We needed the work done fast before we moved in and he got the whole house done in 2 days. 5 guys worked until past 8pm to get it done. Floors look great! Very happy with the work

Mike and his team were great! They were always in time and worked hard during the day. We were not sure about what color to stain our hardwood and they showed us different options and were very helpful throughout he process. They finished the job on time and cleaned up after they were all done.

I called Mike because of Yelp reviews.  We  negotiated a price per square foot and I gave him an approx. square footage of the condo.  He sent me a contract fairly promptly, within a couple of days, but  we did have time because I called a month in advance.  I sent him the signed contract with a sizeable deposit.  I was very hesitant about sending money based on Yelp reviews, so that's why I became an Angie's list member.  Luckily, I saw good reviews so felt better.
I did ask Mike to confirm that he received payment and he never did, until I saw a cashed check and called him.  So that is why the B for responsiveness.  But other than that, he was awesome.  He meet us promptly at the condo, reduced his price based on our square footage and honored our negotiated price.  Helped us pick out stains and finished the job on schedule, even faster than I expected.
Floors look great. I'd definitely use again.

I had to choose another contractor to get it done earlier.

My husband and I had just under a week to get our floors refinished in our new home. We were determined to have darker, more modern floors. We called places that were not able to get it done within our timeframe. He talked to Mike and Mike said he could definitely make it work. Over the phone we received a quote based on an 'estimate' of our space. When Mike came to assess the job, he adjusted that price based on the 'actual' square footage of our home. We closed on a Friday and the guys were going to start on Saturday. Much to our delight, when we called to let them know that the closing went well on Friday--they asked to come by right away to start taping etc. We happily let them in!! They worked on Saturday which many other places were not willing to do. They started early and ended late (after asking if it was ok to be working in the building after normal business hours). And they finished a day earlier than we had even hoped!
Everyone that has seen our floors has commented on how great they look. So many people have stated how we immediately added value by doing it.
After speaking to competitors, we are also confident that we received a good value in the price as others were significantly more expensive.

The work was completed very professionally.

Mike did a great job.  He repaired some warped flooring and then refinished all the floors to make them look new again.  With the repairs you couldn't tell the difference between what was new and what was original.  I'll use Mike again in the future.

Excellent work and a fair price.   The owner, Mike, is very knowledgable.  Nunzio and his worker did a terrific job.  The floor looks terrific and matches my older floors perfectly.  I would hire these people again in a heart beat.

Went great

This was a total education from start to finish in the process and best practices of hardwood installation. The entire crew were skilled, professional and invested in providing a great look with great craftsmanship. The owner, Mike was very available and responsive to answer any questions or concerns that arose. There were shortcuts that could have been taken, but they didn't. They installed the floor and the change in appearance and increased value is impressive. Floor installation is a messy process, but they used plastic curtains when necessary and cleaned up when the work was completed. 
Perhaps the best guide as to whether a service was satisfactory is whether or not they would be rehired. I asked for and received an estimate for more flooring to be installed and will welcome them back.
