I called mike for an estimate on Wednesday. He came over on Thursday night and had guys working by Friday 7am. We needed the work done fast before we moved in and he got the whole house done in 2 days. 5 guys worked until past 8pm to get it done. Floors look great! Very happy with the work

Mike and his team were great! They were always in time and worked hard during the day. We were not sure about what color to stain our hardwood and they showed us different options and were very helpful throughout he process. They finished the job on time and cleaned up after they were all done.

I called Mike because of Yelp reviews.  We  negotiated a price per square foot and I gave him an approx. square footage of the condo.  He sent me a contract fairly promptly, within a couple of days, but  we did have time because I called a month in advance.  I sent him the signed contract with a sizeable deposit.  I was very hesitant about sending money based on Yelp reviews, so that's why I became an Angie's list member.  Luckily, I saw good reviews so felt better.
I did ask Mike to confirm that he received payment and he never did, until I saw a cashed check and called him.  So that is why the B for responsiveness.  But other than that, he was awesome.  He meet us promptly at the condo, reduced his price based on our square footage and honored our negotiated price.  Helped us pick out stains and finished the job on schedule, even faster than I expected.
Floors look great. I'd definitely use again.

My husband and I had just under a week to get our floors refinished in our new home. We were determined to have darker, more modern floors. We called places that were not able to get it done within our timeframe. He talked to Mike and Mike said he could definitely make it work. Over the phone we received a quote based on an 'estimate' of our space. When Mike came to assess the job, he adjusted that price based on the 'actual' square footage of our home. We closed on a Friday and the guys were going to start on Saturday. Much to our delight, when we called to let them know that the closing went well on Friday--they asked to come by right away to start taping etc. We happily let them in!! They worked on Saturday which many other places were not willing to do. They started early and ended late (after asking if it was ok to be working in the building after normal business hours). And they finished a day earlier than we had even hoped!
Everyone that has seen our floors has commented on how great they look. So many people have stated how we immediately added value by doing it.
After speaking to competitors, we are also confident that we received a good value in the price as others were significantly more expensive.

The work was completed very professionally.

Mike did a great job.  He repaired some warped flooring and then refinished all the floors to make them look new again.  With the repairs you couldn't tell the difference between what was new and what was original.  I'll use Mike again in the future.

Excellent work and a fair price.   The owner, Mike, is very knowledgable.  Nunzio and his worker did a terrific job.  The floor looks terrific and matches my older floors perfectly.  I would hire these people again in a heart beat.

This was a total education from start to finish in the process and best practices of hardwood installation. The entire crew were skilled, professional and invested in providing a great look with great craftsmanship. The owner, Mike was very available and responsive to answer any questions or concerns that arose. There were shortcuts that could have been taken, but they didn't. They installed the floor and the change in appearance and increased value is impressive. Floor installation is a messy process, but they used plastic curtains when necessary and cleaned up when the work was completed. 
Perhaps the best guide as to whether a service was satisfactory is whether or not they would be rehired. I asked for and received an estimate for more flooring to be installed and will welcome them back.

We had Mike out to quote the cost to refinish the floors in our new house.  Mike suggested that we didn't need a full refinish (sand and 3 coats) on all the floors but would be happy with having parts of the floors just buffed and having a new  top coat (saving us several hundred dollars).  Mike responded quickly to our calls and emails and worked on our time-frame (getting the job done within 14days of first contact to get it completed in time for us to move-in on schedule).  Seemed very knowledgeable about flooring.  Great company to work with, and we'd use them again.

The guys worked long days to do the floors. Generally they did an okay job of not ruining the paint on the trim of the walls. When one spot had a bit of dirt, they came back and redid it. However, we live in an old house and they put some kind of glue or epoxy between some of the old boards. That stuff chips and falls out, leaving a different color that I then need to stain. We do not wear shoes in the house or have excessive wear and tear. The filler just doesn't stay. I would rather they hadn't used it. Given what we just spent to have the floors refinished, I resent having to walk around with stain to fix these areas.

Mike and his crew sanded and varnished my entire two level house in 3 days! He called back within 24hrs of my inquiry call, gave an estimate the next day and started working the same week. I was only in town for the weekend to buy a home and get workers lined up and I'm so glad I found mike. He was early for the work day and kept me in the loop about his every step. His manager and workers were honest and respectful. I just wish he was a general contractor because it was be so easy to work with him for all my remodeling needs (I removed all my old carpet)

They arrived promptly as scheduled.  Sanded a six by four foot section.  Stained two different colors and asked which I thought were best matched to my baseboards.  I chose the one I liked and they preceded to sand the rest of the floor.  The put up a plastic   drape to be sure no dust got into the kitchen. 
When they were finished the floors looked as good as new.

Mike was responsive to my timetable and worked hard to install a new pre-finished bamboo floor in a very professional manner.  His crew worked hard and did an excellent job installing both the finish floor materials and underlayment.  The project was comepleted on time and came out as we had hoped it would.  Thanks Mike and your crew for the quality installation!

It went fantastic!!!  My floors are beautiful and everyone that sees them comments on what a great job that Mike's Hardwood Flooring did.  I cannot say enough good things about working with Mike and the job that they do.  I carefully researched all the recommended vendors on Angie's list and secured quotes from five different companies before I settled on going with Mike's Hardwood Flooring.  His price was not the lowest but when I calculated the cost of having a moving company move my expensive antique furniture, I took a chance and saved lots of money by contracting with Mike to do this job.  Of course, I was very anxious about having men who were not insured to carefully move my heavy furniture and I was there to carefully oversee that there was no damage done..and so was Mike right along with me supervising everything.  They did an awesome job protecting and moving every bit of my antique and valuable furniture without even a single nick...and saved me thousands of dollars that movers had quoted me to the same job. As for the way the floors turned out, I could not have been more pleased.  Mike's frequent presence during the work helped to give me confidence that everything would meet my expectations...and, indeed, the work exceeded my expectations. I didn't even mind that there was still dust to clean up afterward even though they used the most modern "dustless" (not entirely so) and took great pains to cover vents and everything else.  HIs men were also very clean about picking up and cleaning up after each day.  Initially, I hired him to install new wood floors in the master bedroom and refinish the rest of our 18 year old floors but not my staircase.  After the floors were finished and looked so beautiful... a rich brown color that I love.... I noticed that my staircase and railings (spanning the entire upstairs loft area) no longer looked like it went with the new floors and asked him what he could do to make them look as nice as my floors.  This was a major challenge because I had numerous spindles on the staircase and the railing were curved and couldn't be sanded like the floor.  Because he was so interested in having me thrilled with the job, he problem solved about what could be done and agreed to do the extra work at his cost.  Again, the result exceeded my expectations.  Mike is entirely dedicated to making sure his customers are pleased with the results of his work.  In fact, when he recommended that I wait two weeks for the floor to "harden" before I replaced my large area rugs, he agree to return with his men to move the heavy furniture on top of the rugs.  I would not hesitate to hire Mike's Hardwood Flooring to do any wood floor work in my house... he is a perfectionist and totally dedicated to customer satisfaction.  One could not ask for more!

Mike's crew showed up on time and moved all the furniture too big for us too move.  They covered virtually everything in plastic to minimize the left over dust. 
Sanded down the old floor badly damaged from dogs nails, heavy foot traffic, and kitchen spills and the carry over to the other rooms.
The floors look great and I compared this to the same work completed under an insurance claim as well as a buff and shine only and this was a vary competitive price.
I have already recommended Mike to a friend.
We were burnt by a contractor for other work in the past which is why I joined Angie's list in the first place and this to me is proof that it was worth it.
