I was very pleased with the total experience. Estimate was very fair. Workmen were on time, worked hard. They were very polite and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend this company.

I had an existing red oak stairs, which needed to be matched with newly installed Brazilian cherry floor. At the beginning I was not satisfied with the color. Mike's team did not hesitate to refinish the stairs and work late until 10:00 PM to select the matching color. I was so impressed by their dedication to work and readiness to help customer to their satisfaction. I definitely will use them again. Thanks for Mike and his team.

Overall, our floors look great and we are sure they have added to the value of our home. As we had just moved into our home, we were impressed with the way the crew moved furniture and worked around the chaos. They did a great job matching the finish of the new flooring with our existing hardwood flooring. We did, however, experience several hiccups along the way. First, our estimator under-estimated the amount of materials needed, as well as the time required to complete the job. This resulted in an $1000 upcharge on the first day of work. Second, since we were having carpet removed and hardwood installed, there was a gap between the edge of the hardwood and the wall. This gap is normally covered by shoe molding. We would have appreciated Mike's guys telling us up front that they would need to install (and charge us for) this additional service to make the floors look great. Instead, we wound up having to pay $300 more to cover the cost of materials and installation. Third, the crew did not remove the many rolls of old carpet and padding that had been in the attic. They offered to do it for another $100, but I chose to use a junk hauling service instead. And finally, there are several small gaps remaining at two thresholds that don't look great. One gap is minor; the other leaves a big strip of tile exposed and will undoubtedly make for some stubbed toes until I get around to having it replaced.

They showed up, talked me into upgrading the finish of the flooring. We figured out a finish and the guys came and they wrecked the baseboard, I did find out that he sub-contracted and he did not even use his own workers. I called in to get the finish that was on my floor and they said they were unable to give me the mix. The floors look good, but over all I really feel like I have been duped. Other than sanding into the baseboard and finding out he had sub-contracted the floors look good, but I am also unhappy I was unable to get the finish.

We are so grateful that Mike and his crew were able to save our floor after another hardwood floor installer left it in terrible shape. Mike's Hardwood Flooring was able to correct the original company' mistakes - and refinish our hardwood floors until they truly looked beautiful. Had we used Mike's crew from the start, we would have saved precious time and money. Yes, I would definitely recommend Mike's Hardwood Flooring, Inc.

We had one week to move into our new home and a big job with hardwood to install/refinish and stairs on multiple levels. Mike's team was committed to getting the job done on time. Other flooring companies we contacted could not commit to the timeline or the number of people needed to get the job done. They finished up the day the movers arrived and worked long days every day leading up to move-in to get it done. They are a very professional team and would strongly recommend MIke's Hardwood. We also had a breakfast bar supported by a large piece of furniture. Mike's team moved the furniture to the garage and brought in a carpenter to support the counter area with custom beams and stained to match the floors. After we moved in, we noticed the floor under a wine fridge in the kitchen was not finished as it had been covered in plastic to project the appliances. Mike's team came back a week later to finish the area without question.

Mike and his team went above and beyond in order to make our floors look great and did it in a professional matter. Here are a few highlights about the process: Estimation Process: Mike came out on short notice and in the narrow time frame that we had (we hadn't closed on our place yet so he changed his schedule around to fit the estimate in when I had access to the condo). He provided a detailed explanation of the condition of the wood and what we could/couldn't do Pricing: Mike wasn't the cheapest but he also wasn't the most expensive. In one word, his pricing was fair during the estimate/negotiating process. Now since the work is done, I realized what a deal we got on the services since they did such a great job. Fulfillment of Services: Mike did a great job of communicating the steps of the process when his team would get there, what they would be doing, and how long it would take. He was very punctual with his responses and answered all of my questions. Once the work started his team were efficient, professional and went above and beyond expectations. Since we hadn't moved into the place and were on a decent time crunch (painters/cabinet people were starting shortly after the floors were done), Mike's team came early and stayed late to get the work done. Refinishing floors is a difficult job and these guys were amazing. They never complained even though I felt like I was asking some dumb questions, they made the process seem much easier than it actually was, and were quick with the work without sacrificing quality. Craftsmanship: The floors were previously a light, honey oak color, I wanted to go much darker. When they were done, the floors looked phenomenal. Mike and his team gave great suggestions, knew the products they were working with, and made me feel comfortable with the process. You can tell they took a lot of pride in their work and cared about what they were doing. Professionalism: One thing I also want to note is the professionalism of Mike and his team. We had some neighbors complain about the fumes from the floors getting refinished (something unavoidable with the work). Mike and his team did a great job of diffusing the situation with the neighbors since I wasn't there at the time, they kept me informed on the situation and handled it great. After I called and apologized to the neighbors they even commented on how nice the team was. Keep in mind that this was all my fault since I didn't let my neighbors know about the work. Essentially, they cleaned up my mess.

Mike's Hardwood flooring did our floors. They sanded and stained our existing hardwood floors, which were in rough condition. Overall, it looks pretty good, but there are quite a few noticeable flaws with the work: uneven sanding, uneven stain in places, and stain on places other than the floors (shoe molding, baseboards, wall, even carpet). Some of the problems we had were remedied, after complaining to the owner; however, we didn't expect to have these problems when hiring a professional. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone considering refinishing their floors. Overall the work is not bad... but it's not great either. Also, it's important to note that Mike himself doesn't do all the work. Maybe it's luck of the draw with who does your floors, and I just drew a bad card.

Mike quoted promptly and fairly. Service was done as contracted, trusted with entering and exiting without us around and everything went smoothly. There was some dust left in a few areas when we expected near dustless but really not a big deal, pretty minimal. | |Would def use again.

After receiving a glowing review from Angie's List, I decided that I would give them a try. I sent an email and left a voice mail asking them for an estimate on refinishing approximately 1300 square feert of flooring in my house. They never followed up or returned my calls/emails. So much for prompt professional service. If they can't follow up on simple requests for estimates, what does that say about how they would treat you for future customer service requests?

Sanded and finished first floor of my newly installed hardwood flooring. Gave me a more than reasonable quote. Was able to schedule and start soon after acceptance. They busted their butts to get the big job done asap. The results are wonderful.

I found them through Angie's List. They did a wonderful job on the floor and they did it in a very short time line because of the move-in date. They did not do as part of the job staining the banisters and there was a little bit of confusion about what services they were and weren't going to provide with regards to doing our stairs. I thought he was going to paint the risers and he thought he wasn't going to paint the risers so there was a little confusion there. The actual quality of the refinish of the floors was excellent.

Mike and his crew were great. They were on time and on budget all the way. Would recommend them to anyone and already have.

The floors are absolutely beautiful!! Mike was very responsive and friendly and helped us get our floors done very quickly right before we moved in on very short notice. What a great experience! Mike and his team are ROCK STARS! I initially called someone else that a friend referred however he was not very responsive. That said, I found Mike on Angie's list and gave him a ring. He called back within the hour and came over the next morning to give me an estimate. I hired him on the spot and they started the next morning and did a spectacular job. I have not moved in yet, so I gave them the keys and they finished ahead of schedule. I had new floors installed in two bedrooms and the current hardwood floors restored on the first floor. I even called them as I ordered a rug that was going to be delivered and they carried all 70 pounds of it to my living room. Mike is a very genuine man and takes a lot of pride in his work. I would hire them for any future job and would highly recommend them.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it went quite well. I had them do a couple of additional rooms so there were extra charges over the Big Deal price. The did, essentially, what they said they were going to do in terms of time and the materials they used. We were real happy about that.

Mike came within 24hrs of call to assess my repair needs. He walked me through the problem (faulty prior installation) and quoted a very fair price to resolve the problem. With 5 days he had his crew in to redo the hardwood floor including demolition, installation, sanding and staining. The work took 3 days and his team, led by Nunzio, did a masterful job. Very polite, knowledgable and thoughtful. The work area was left very clean and all materials removed. They even helped moving some of the furniture! I found him through Angie's List, trusted the prior reviews and am pleased to add my very positive feedback. I highly recommend.

Mike's team was fantastic. From the beginning, they were very responsive and flexible about coming out for a quote. When it came time to do the work, they were punctual, professional, and very helpful. My wife and I were not sure exactly what color we wanted the wood so they took the time to sand patches of the existing floors to show us various colors. We found one we loved and they moved forward. They completed all of the work in 3 days, staying late one night to do so. We were very impressed with their work ethic. Now, the floors look unbelievable. The refinished floors look as new as the bedroom floors and the rooms look seamless (from refinished to newly installed). We highly recommend using Mike's team!

I had some water damage in my hallway and my floors were buckling so I needed to get it replaced. The servpro guy came out and told me that I would definitely need to have the floors in my entire 2 br 2 ba condo re-sanded and finished as no one would be able to match it perfectly. The last thing I wanted to do was move all my furniture out and have to deal with that so I was optimistic someone could replace the section and make it match. So I called Mike's hardwood flooring and another company to come out and give me an estimate. Mike's was the highest rated on Angie's List and came back with the best price so I thought I would give them a shot. Mike was very quick to get back to me and within 24 hours I had someone at my house giving me a free estimate. He assured me they could match it very close. Everything with Mike's hardwood flooring went great. I wanted to make sure I had no mold so I asked if they could come one day and pull up the floors so we can check out the situation under the floors and then come back a few days later to actually finish the job. Once they pulled up the floors we found that there was no mold and everything looked good so they were back the next day to install all the wood. Then the next day they came back for just a few hours to finish sanding and staining. I wasn't even home but felt very comfortable leaving them in my house. I was honestly very skeptical if they would be able to match the color but they nailed it perfectly. There is no way anyone could tell that the floors were replaced, other than the fact that they do look much nicer than the rest of my floors. They even helped me touch up a few other problem areas around my condo at no extra charge. Mike's did a excellent job and I would highly recommend them.
