I met with several contractors and Mike was by far the best price with the most professional service. He was on time and go the job done quickly. He was communicative during the project and we are very happy we went with him. Wish we would have found him sooner!

We worked with Mike to choose the new flooring for our condo. Replacing our floor was not an easy job. The old flooring had been glued down, and these guys worked very hard to remove it. They were dependable and cleaned up before they left each day. We are very pleased with the flooring and installation job that was done.

Mike was the consumate professional. He travelled to my home to give an estimate. His estimate was the most competitive of any estimate I received. Mike then scheduled the job in a very short period of time. His crew was there at the exact time and day which we agreed on. Payment was simple and easy. I would recommend Mike to anyone.

The customer service experience including setting up appointments, picking the stain and scheduling worked really well. Dorian was my point person on this job. The biggest complaint for me is that is that I had a friend who came in after my floors were done who is a contractor. Knowing I had recenlty had my floors done, she asked me if I had done them myself. I explained that I had them "professionally" done. She was surprised to learn that, pointing to a number of divots all over my floor and explained that a reputably worker with experience would not have pulled up short on the sander. As I've learned this was sub par work. I brought this to the attention of Dorian, the manager and he gave me some explanation. Because everything is covered back up again with carpet and furniture I am not giving them a D, but I have thought about it. The workers all appeared rather young, so its probably safe to assume that they have not had years of experience sanding floors, leading to the problems with my floors. Additionally, I paid an upgrade on getting the furniture moved out of my house so that they could do the job. From the start I was told that they are not responsible for anything that happens to the furniture. They are not furniture movers. They took my chaise lounge and they put it over a stairwell. The result is that thing got completely dusty from the installation of the hardwood floors. Some of the furniture got chunks nicked out of them. For this reason, I recommend that you pay professional movers to move your furniture.

It went great - the floors are beautiful and look brand new. I will use Mike's again went I am ready to refinish the stairs and one remaining room. I would highly recommend Mike's for your hardwood refinishing.

Mike came to our home and took measurements and spent a good hour answering all of our questions. As promised, he emailed us a quote within 3 days and we set a date for installation. Mike and his crew showed up right on time, day one, and finished up the work the following day. We're very happy with the quality of the installation and Mike's quick responses when we called with questions. Mike installed the flooring in our foyer, living room, dining room and hallways and closets.

Mike and his crew just finished laying new hardwood flooring in our condo. They did a great job and we highly recommend them. Last year we had water damage in 3 out of 5 rooms. Finding a flooring company to come and give a quote was a stressful and daunting task. Mike worked with my schedule to come out and inspect the damages the same day I called. He was able to communicate clearly to me how extensive the damage was and why repairing was not a good option. Mike spoke with my claims adjustor and was able to effectively explain what needed to be done. Next we meet with Mike at his shop. We went over every concern we had. We scheduled the job and to Mike?s credit everything went as scheduled. Once the repairs started, his crew worked tirelessly, arriving on time every day and working until late every evening. We expected the job to take four days. However, they were able to finish in three days. Mike?s crew was extremely polite and helpful. For example, we have always had a problem with our front door not properly staying closed. When I asked Carlos if he could adjust the door he not only adjusted that door but all the doors in our condo. They were always respectful of our home and of our neighbors. We did have one minor issue after the floors where install. Mike took action immediately. They came out within hours and took care of it. We now have beautiful wood floors and happy tale of rehab that we can gladly share with everyone.

The service was performed quickly after I first contracted, I was unable to be there so the team worked alone and the results were awesome. The floors were clearly refinished in a very high quality professional way. Would recommend to anyone needing this work done.

I live in a 3,000 sq ft home which was built 73 years ago. The home has original hard wood floors from the time the home was built on the entire second floor including 4 bedrooms, as well as main floor except for the kitchen. I obtained several quotes and was very impressed with Mike's expertise. One of the most important things for me was to get rid of the squeaking hardwood floors due to years of settling. I obtained several quotes and all the other companies told me it would require new sublfooring which would of course mean I had to replace all the hard wood floor. To my amazement Mike told me he would be able to fix the vast majority of squeaking by removing a few boards and reinforcing the "slipper" on which the hard wood floor is laid down on. I was on a tight timeline as I wanted the floors redone while my family went on a 1 week vacation. Mike started with 1 bedroom and sanded the floors and applied a test coat of stain. I asked him to make a custom stain which was dark brown with a hint of gray. He was able to get the exact color I was looking for and finished the room off. The rest of the house he completed while we were on vacation. I was very impressed when we returned. 95% of the sqweeking noises were gone. The color was perfect and his guys did a great job of filling in the numerous gaps that developed over years on the floors. He also took it upon himself to add bullnose thresholds at the top of my stairs to the basement. Not to mention his crew had to move all the furniture around the house to get the job done and then move it all back together. He finished right on time 3 days before we returned to allow the floors to cure. He finished the entire house in 7 days. Mike is an expert at his trade. He communicates well and was able to stick to his schedule he promised.

Mike was prompt to show up and when he got here he accurately identified the issue with the prior contractor's work. He took the time to inspect the entire area in detail and gave us a reasonable quote to fix the sloppy work of the previous contractor. When we called back to schedule the work a couple of days later he agreed to do the work promptly and executed exactly as agreed. The furniture was moved and the work completed on time as promised. Thanks to Mike and his team we have a beautiful floor. We could not be more pleased!

Went great. Mike gave me a same-day estimate - fastest estimate I've ever received - and the work was scheduled perfectly in sync with what I needed done before the new staircase could be put it. It was a smaller job with a two-man crew for a day, and they did a great job. The carpenter was impressed and said it was exactly what he needed in order to make his repairs. I will use them again when we have the floors refinished next year.

Mike was stretched for available manpower on April 6th (day after Easter), but was still able to have an employee start the job on the 6th as promised. The job was completed on the next day. The employees were courteous and professional and answered any questions we had. They did an excellent job. Mike talked to me after the job was completed to make sure we were pleased. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Mike was extremely knowledgeable, and tried to give me as much advice as possible over the phone.

I called Mike to ask for a quote after reading his excellent reviews on Angie's List. He made an appointment for the next day and arrived early. Mike was very thorough in explaining the refinishing process and inspecting my floors. Mike offered a very well-priced quote for quality work (due to my own scheduling issues I did not move forward with Mike). I am confident that Mike would provide top-notch service and he was a pleasure to work with.

Regrettably, I have to echo the other reviewer's disappointment with this service provider. I too called and left a message to get an estimate for a flooring re-do before purchasing an appropriate Angie's List coupon for their services. Unfortunately, nobody ever called back--which only goes to demonstrate the lack of professionalism on the part of this service provider. We're now glad we didn't hire this service provider. If this is how they treat prospective clients, I can only imagine the quality of their actual work.

removed carpeting and padding from 4 rooms and installed new hardwood floors, replaced damaged boards and sanded to bare wood the existing 2 rooms of existing hardwood, meshed the borders together so that it all looks like it was laid at the same time. Finished all with acid-cured Swedish finish (Synteko classic). also removed old carpeted pine stairs and installed and finished new hardwood steps to match flooring and white primed risers on the staircase. price included removal of all furniture (was placed in basement and garage on the old carpeting put on the floor to keep everything clean (later hauled away), furniture carefully replaced after floors dried and house aired out. They also sanded and refinisheded my kitchen tabletop to match as well gratis. Owner Mike was great, free estimate, patiently answered a zillion questions via phone and text before, during and after installation, made it work within my schedule and dates, and the crew on site was polite and very careful with belongings, newly painted walls, and cleanup

I didn't appreciate them leaving all the lights on and all the window blinds up.

Excellent! They were very good at what they did. They are trusted, right on time, and do all the work. They clean up afterwards, which is important because there's dust all around from the work.

I cannot say enough good things about Mike's Hardwood Flooring. We bought an older house with some pretty nasty carpet throughout. We debated doing the floors ourselves, but decided to get some estimates. Through Angie's List, I got about 5 estimates. Although the prices were pretty consistent, I found many flooring people just wanted to tell me all of the potential problem areas in our house. Mike, on the other hand, was all about practical solutions. He wasn't a sales guy. I felt he was very honest. I got along with him right away, and felt very confident about his services. He did not disappoint! The crew came in, and basically finished the floors (in our smaller house) in a few days. We got to choose our stain color from several samples on our sanded floor, where the crew had stained a small section of the floor. The refinished floors have completely changed the house. Everything that Mike explained in the beginning turned out to be completely accurate. The stairs, the banister and the floors are stunning! I would recommend Mike's Hardwood Flooring to anyone.

Mike's service was outstanding, professional, clean, reliable and lived up to his "A" ratings!! I had several questions about our floors and Mike came over to look at them and provide me with estimates of various ways we could re-do them. We had heavily worn areas on a natural oak flooring (maple in the kitchen). I chose not to stain the floors, and to move the furniture myself (this was the cheapest option). His price was about half of another flooring service who had told me my floors were very worn with deep cracks which would take a lot of extra work. I asked Mike to start right away. He was able to book a date within two days of my call and arrived on time with his crew. We slept at my parents for two nights and moved back in on the third day. When we returned the floors look like new (see before and after pictures)!! We were so excited - the floors are smooth and perfectly refinished. All the cracks (there were many) were filled. Aside from a thin layer of dust on the counters and window sills, everything was clean. There still is a slight odor from the poly-urethane but it doesn't bother anyone. We wish we could give him an A+! One thing I would do differently is to consider hiring Mike or someone else to move the furniture back onto the floors. Moving it out wasn't a problem because we could drag it across the floor, but Mike warned me that the floor would be soft for up to 30 days and to move carefully and put felt pads under everything. We had to move the furniture back the next weekend and everything went smoothly until we had to move the piano. Even with a thick quilt under the wheel, it still made a mark. Luckily it was not in an obvious place, and we folded our dog bed in half and shoved it under the wheel and it worked ok.

Mike's team did an excellent job for us - 10 stars. We had another contractor work for us who destroyed our floors. Mike's guys came in, resanded it all (apx. 1500 sq feet) and refinished it. Our floors look beautiful. They did every extra details we asked. They stayed late every night and they worked so hard for 4 days and got it all done. After our horrible experience with the other guy, we were practically stunned by how quickly, professionally they finished the work and how good it looks. A+, highly recommend.

Excellent. We needed very specific start dates as work was scheduled to start day after closing on new house. It was very important to us that the work be performed before we moved furniture in and Mike was great about committing to a schedule. He assured us the floors would be dry in time for the move and they were. Service, professionalism, quality, all excellent. There were details not anticipated regarding quality and service...custom threshold for kitchen transition, door needed to be cut to accommodate. Sliding closet door guides on floor cut, stained, and installed...all very nice looking. Would definitely recommend this company for above mentioned services...could not be happier.
