Description of Work: The representative from Mike's Hardwood Floors was very nice and to the point. He measured my floors and figured out a price right there. There was no "I will email the estimate" in which I liked. He set a date and a time and was very prompt. His workers covered all open doorways and made sure standing furniture (fireplace) was fully covered and protected. I have been in this house for almost 30 years and this is the first time I had the floors refinished. The results were absolutely beautiful! He filled in cracks that I didn't realize were present and replaced boards that were in very poor condition. I highly recommend Mike's Hardwood Floors for refinishing. With the beautiful job that Mike's Hardwood Floors did on my living room and dining room, it looks like a new home!

Description of Work: Mike's crew did a through job of sanding and applying two coats of polythene. They spent a lot of time hand scraping the areas that the machines could not get and the floors looks great. When Mike gave me the quote he incouraged us to do both levels at the same time, which was difficult but well worth it, because even though they did a great job cleaning up we still had to wash down all the walls in the house after through to get that fine layer of dust off. But believe me my walls could have used it anyway.

Description of Work: Mike was coming to fulfill an Angie's list coupon when a family member was getting a quote on replacing/restoring multiple floors. We asked Mike to bid. He had exactly the same diagnosis and solution as his competitor but was almost half the price. We made a very good choice- He and his crew worked hard to finish on a tight schedule. I have already recommended him! I will not publish my address.

Description of Work: I contacted Mike's Hardwood Flooring after I saw a coupon for $545.00 discount on refinishing hardwood floors. This was for my new house built in 1955 that had wall to wall carpeting in it that I wanted removed and there were old hardwood floors underneath.. I also knew I had additional rooms that did not have hardwood underneath the carpeting and I needed matching red oak hardwood floors installed. I hoped that the kitchen also had hardwood floors underneath the "fake" wood flooring but that we found was not true. So I picked out a cork to install.I did not have the hardwood stained just 2 coats of polyurethane applied. Finally, they needed to level one of the additional rooms before installing the new hardwood floors which was a very difficult room. There was about 2 inches difference of the cement slab from one end of the room to the other. I think the workers name was Emil and he did an excellent job! I am thrilled with all the work, Mike was attentive, professional and timely.

Description of Work: Mike's team installed 3 rooms of new hardwood flooring and refinished 2 rooms. They worked hard and did an excellent job. They did miss one area that needed filled in on the refinish job. I called Mike as soon as I noticed it and someone came out and fixed it within a week--and did it to perfection. I had considered doing the job myself but am very happy I found Mike via Angie's list. Great Job.

Description of Work: Mike refinished and replaced some floorring. His team did a tremendous job and the floor looks brand new. In addition, they replaced a couple of damaged boards that other companies may have not because of their concern for a high quality job.

Description of Work: I was looking to get my flooring done in one of my rental units. I got couple of estimates and Mike came a bit bellow average. So I called him again and discussed in detailed what i need to get done and the price. Everything went as expected, he explained me how the job will start and end. It was very detailed. It work out fine for me. My floors were bad, I had tenants in there that wear them good, i had those gaps between the floor boards and I had to reapair couple of boards, in total I had 1600 sq ft. So when they came in they sanded , they fill up the gaps with some wood filer and replaced the damage boards. They were fast and did a great job. After that my floors looked like new. I used them for my house also. Best service/price!
