It was FANTASTIC from start to finish. Marian is amazingly fast with both coming out to give an estimate and scheduling the work. He truly knows his stuff, and he gave us different options and recommendations. From the day of our estimate to the day the job was complete was less than two weeks. We can't believe how quickly they did the work and how gorgeous our new floors look. Both Marian and his employees are friendly and professional...we highly highly recommend them and had a great experience. Love the new look of our home!!!

There is no sign of any prior marks in the floor. The color which we wanted to maintain is identical to the existing color. The floor was done well within the 2 days required. Midwest is professional, timely, honest and a company I highly recommend. Thank you Marian.

Marian is a true professional from start to finish. We had a small issue with the color of the stain but we learned a valuable lesson. A picture from a cell phone does not do the color justice. Go see the color in person, that's the only way to really tell. Marian had to redo our living room because we walked on it too early, but he took care of it without a issue. We had a transition that Marian did a excellent job on without any input from us. We would use Marian again and recommend him to others. Thank you, Marian!

I am very pleased with my experience with Midwest. Marian was always very punctual with appointments and the job was completed as promised. Floors were being replaced due to water damage. It was necessary to allow time for the sub floor to dry. The process was explained to me in detail and Midwest updates were provided during the 10 day process. And the new floor? BEAUTIFUL!! I would not hesitate to refer Midwest.

Marian and his crew were actually early and finished in surprising short order. The end result was BEAUTIFUL. But do be forewarned: "dustless" is a relative term! While I'm sure current technology produces a lot less dust than it might have in the past, THERE WILL BE DUST, so you might want to accept that and prepare for it. Also, while the finish used wasn't as strong as others, it was definitely strong, and I had to leave the house for a few hours. Otherwise, the project went very smoothly and at a good price. I definitely got my money's worth.

Marian and his crew arrived at the scheduled time. Marian assessed the work to be done and explained the process. Two small rooms of existing wood floors were refinished and polished in a semi-gloss stain. The work was completed in approximately four hours with very little dust. Workers cleaned up when finished and my floors are GORGEOUS. Marian followed up by phone the ensure I was satisfied.

Marian and his team were very timely, professional, and knowledgeable. Marian was there personally on most days taking part directly in the most complex issues. I hired Marian over several other contractors because I trusted him and he was seemingly the most honest about what could be done, what could not be done, and what the possible outcomes could be. I found his pricing to be very reasonable for the quality of work he provided. The one thing I've learned throughout the process of building a new home is that more often than not, you get exactly what you pay for. If you go with the lowest cost provider you will likely be disappointed. Marian will likely not be the lowest cost provider, but he also will not be the highest. The quality of work he provides is an incredible value for the price. Not to sound like a jerk, but I've been through the construction process on a $2m home over the course of the past 2 years and working with Marian and his team was one of the best experiences we have had to date. I have every reason to believe that Marian would provide the same quality of service on a $200,000 home that he provided at my home. Whenever I have hardwood floor work in the future I will not hesitate to contact and refer Marian. Marian has my contact information and I've told him he can use me as a reference any time.

Was punctual and professional.m I needed to leave the house by a certain time so Marian showed up when I needed him even though he rest of his crew didn't arrive for another hour. Also, at the last minute we decided do add a small powder room which he included for the original cost.

We had a few delays with our kitchen remodeling and needed to delay floors a couple of times. Marian was flexible and came out twice to our house to ensure he understood exactly what we wanted. He is one of those special people that really cares about the qualfity of his work. His team showed up on time and completed on time. He kept me updated on progress and I even received pictures of the progress of the new flooring. There were a couple of areas of our floor that were worn and bleached from the sun and I was concerned that these areas were not going to be fully restored. I can't express how pleased we were when we saw our floors. They were beautiful! All the added flooring perfectly matched, the areas that were worn looked brand new... the entire floor looked brand new - I kept saying 'wow, wow, wow!'. I would recommend Midwest Hardwood Floors in a heartbeat.

Marian is a very capable and responsive service provider. He was great a helping to select a stain which proved to be a very good choice. His team removed carpet and some old tile and we found the flooring underneath to be in fine shape. He finished off the transitions of the flooring with matching wood trim. Overall, I am very pleased with the results and would hire Marian's team again to do more work.

Company owner was very responsive and punctual. The initial discussion went very well and few details were mentioned. At the end the length of the service was extended due to weather problems, but communications were not very successful ( we were not able to communicate until the very last moment at no fault of Marian). Unfortunately not all of the outcome details were well communicated ( I was not told that all base boards will have to be painted due to staining from staining the floors; this information was only related regarding the stair risers) . Also, the after job clean up was not really well done - 3 huge garbage bags were left on the side of the house and we did not know about that until out neighbor mention it. Overall I am happy with the results and would recommend the company, with recommendation to finalized the details to minimize surprises.

Beautiful job! We were out of town and Marian even texted photos to me so I could see the results. Great response and service - repaired some scratches that someone else made for us free of charge. Great job, professional, very little dust from the process. Would highly recommend!

He was punctual, professional, personable, and did a fabulous job even in the hard to reach spots, such as underneath an unlovable radiator or in tight corners and the back of closets. He texted me pictures of how it was going since I was out of town during the work. I definitely would recommend Midwest Hardwood Floors, Inc. to others in need of quality floor work.

Marian and his team were friendly and prompt. We had a small section that needed to be touched up after the floors were refinished and Marian came out that weekend and fixed it himself.

We recently bought a Cape cod with hardwood under carpet and another layer of tile in some spots. After lots of work pulling out carpet, tiles, staples and tack strips, I saw Angie's big deal and scooped it up. Good communication from the start to schedule the work and they showed up 8am on a Saturday. I was surprised how quickly they got it all done. Natural finish and 2 coats of poly for 500 sq ft, what a deal. We are so happy with the results, looks like a new place! Can't wait to show it off at our house warming next week! Thanks Marion and crew for a job well done. :)

Overall this project went well. I did not get multiple quotes for this project so I don't have a price comparison, but costs were not outside of my expectations. Marian and his crew were very timely and he stuck to the schedule that was communicated despite me adding 3 bedrooms and a hallway to the job. Overall quality of work is very good. I have two complaints: on a staircase the crew did not use a continuous piece of wood across the width of a step. They completed the span with a small 2 inch piece of wood. This is in a high traffic, highly visible area and your eye is drawn to it immediately. They did such a nice job everywhere else, I do not understand why this happened. The other complaint is Marian did not communicate to me that he does not haul away any demo material. There are no comments on his quote or other paperwork about demo material and he did not verbally say anything about it. I had to make special arrangements and pay to have demo material taken away. Had I known ahead of time I could of made better (cheaper) arrangements for this. All this being said I would hire this company again.

Marian and his group were extremely professional. He responded quickly to emails and text messages and kept me informed whether it was late in the evening or even on the weekends. The work they did was incredible. The repair looks seamless, and the hardwood in the entire condo looks brand new. I would highly recommend Midwest Hardwood Flooring to anybody and would gladly use them again in the future (even though I hope I don't need to!).

This is second time we use Midwest Hardwood Floors Inc. Marian, the owner, was exceptionally responsive in the planning and actual implementation of the job. He worked with my schedule and was always timely. The work was done on time with a minimal amount of disruption. The finished work looks wonderful.

Marian is most likely the best contractor we have ever dealt with. He was always on time, even when quoting the job. His price was better than his competitors'. The best part was the complete reliability we had with Marian. Every day he said what his crew would do and they did EXACTLY that. (A very rare experience.) They were done on time each day, kept the job site clean and neat. The refinished floors look great and the new floor in the kitchen is fantastic. Marian is also very pleasant in person, has a good sense of humor and is easy to deal with. We would highly recommend him to anyone who is interested.

Marian and the team are truly as wonderful as their many reviewers have noted. It's difficult to find a contractor who is responsive, committed to doing high quality work, flexible...all at a fair price. My floors were just completed Sunday, and I've referred two friends. Before writing this review. Yes, he really is that good!

Marian was the only one willing to take on the job. Others said it would be too difficult. Some said it couldn't be done, and I would have to settle for engineered flooring. My kitchen cabinets sat on the granite tile. The floors were different heights. I had several unusual exterior doors to work around. The hardwood had to transition to other tile floors and carpet. Marian handled all these problems with his vast knowledge and expertise. He was also the only one to use 2 layers of plywood, one going north-south, the other going east-west for extra stability. He somehow was able to work around the existing kitchen cabinets without any damage. Marian solved every problem. The floors are absolutely beautiful and worth every penny. The house went from so-so to WOW. Marian spent a lot of time explaining the process. He did what he said he would do and finished on time. I didn't have much of a window to complete the job, but Marian worked with my schedule. Marian and his employees are polite, considerate and friendly. They did a nice job of cleaning up. Midwest hardwood should be at the top of the list. I couldn't be happier.
