Description of Work: Matrix was very responsive to my request and was extremely responsive. We own a vintage condo and had re-done the kitchen. The last step in the project was to cover an unsightly electrical box that was directly on the back wall over the stove top. John worked with us to fabricate an attractive stainless steel plate with very cool bronze fittings.

+ 0 moreJohn, from Matrix, did a terrific job. He finished making the door itself quickly but the difficulty lay in fitting it because the fifty year-old hinges had been damaged years earlier. John returned several times to make sure that it was perfect. All in all a great job by nice people.
Description of Work: I asked Matrix to fabricate a replacement sheet metal door for my 1950s vintage metal kitchen cabinets.

Description of Work: George Mohrlein and his company have done a number of fine jobs in brass for me. They precisely cut a brass threshold for a door at a mansion on Sheridan Road that my company installed. Matrix can turn, weld, and form any kind of metal in their well equipped machine shop. Matrix has also helped me to complete a difficult job on my 1910 electric model T. This required bending naval bronze tubing, which are the support struts for the model T windshield.

+ -1 moreThey were very professional, responsive, and courteous. They even removed their shoes b/c it had recently rained and forgot their shoe booties. I would highly recommend them for any custom metal work, i.e., countertops or hood ranges or fireplace mantles/grates. I've seen some pictures for work they did with Orin Pickell Builders and it would give my home a very unique and elegant look.
Description of Work: Matrix Specialties has done a number of things for me. Recently, they refinished hand rails. I had them powder coated and they installed them.
