They were responsive and prompt. They fixed everything and told me what the problems were. They were very thorough and professional.

Marty came promptly and worked for a long time to repair the oven & make sure they were operating promptly. Also, the seal on our upright freezer was damaged & the part is discontinued. Marty advised us on what we could do to lengthen life . Was helpful from start to finish. Marty was more concerned that our appliances were working properly and that we were satisfied than any other repair person who we have hired previously.

I've used Marty's Refrigeration Inc more than once so he really does deserve kudos. He has professional service with personal touch. They come when they say they're going to come, very thorough in explanations and I feel that the prices were very fair. They call back immediately. They just explain everything. Everything is great. I've used them a couple of times and I would use them again.

Front loading Clothes washer is over 5 years old. It has leaked periodically but nothing serious. A couple of weeks ago, we had a more serious leak and checked Angie's List. Saw that Marty's was a listed provider. We'd used him to repair our refrigerator on several occasions and liked him a lot and were happy to see he was still in business.(And that he was so highly rated by Angie's List customers.) We contacted him on a Sunday through his web page e-mail. An appointment was scheduled for Thursday (our decision due to scheduling issues) , but then we had the deep freeze and snow and Marty got behind schedule-- which is why the review has n/a for punctuality. His delay was due to circumstances beyond his control. He came out on Friday at 10 a.m. and worked on the washer for 1.5 hours. Due to overloading, a small sock had gotten caught in the water drain. He cleaned under and behind the washer and drier-- surprising how much stuff was there. He fixed it and explained how to take care of the machine -- not to overload, which was contrary to what we'd been previously told. To keep the door open to prevent mold build up, to use less detergent than the manufacturer recommended. In short, he did more than fix the machine, he educated us on its care. Really nice guy. Great job; very satisfied customer.

Fixed it. Came out same day we called. Would definitely use Marty again.

He was extremely thorough in his assessment insisting that the appliance didn't need to be replaced but rather cleaned top to bottom which he did. He was informative and professional during his visit and clearly wants to provide quality service to his customers instead of convincing them to buy a new model from their "friend" at the appliance store.

When you hire Marty's Refrigeration, you get the man himself, Marty Walker. Marty is a great guy, with loads of experience, and he takes real pride in his work. I'm sure that our refrigerator's condenser coils have never been as clean as when he was finished with them, and they were really filthy. Also, when he determined that our old ice maker was defunct, and we would need to install a new one, I thought he would have to come back on another day to finish the job. But he drove to the supplier, got the new ice maker, and installed it the very same day. The only reason I'm giving him a B for price is because he charges $89.00 for a service call in addition to labor.

They came out and looked at the stove. He suggested that I should not get the stove fixed and actually by a new one. I appreciate his honesty and he was very professional.

They fixed the starter on our Amana oven and was able to reuse the fallen our knob controls for the oven/clock. We are between a rock and ahard place because the Amana we have is no longer made and there are very few new oven replacements since it has a down draft. And the ones that are out there are terribly reviewed. So bad I would consider cooking over wood rather than buy a Jenn Aire of Therm-adore. Marty's came in and gave honest and sensible recommendations. He took his time and was able to replace the knobs that fell out saving us $350 plus labor to fix the issue with that. He also replaced the faulty starter and recommended we do not replace the ignition that is bad on one burner but instead manually light it when needed. I agree. Hopefully this oven will last us because the thought of replacing is a nightmare. Marty's was great. They also worked around my busy schedule. He also cleaned the Viking fridge which had not been cleaned in years. Took well over an hour. One hiccup was having to come back out after the very fragile ignitor broke during the initial installation. I felt more bad for him than me because I don't know if he was able to get the part replaced without cost to him. Marty is a very nice guy and apparently does all the service himself preventing getting a bad tech. I knew of him for years but this is the first time I have used him. It's nice knowing who will come to your house and having a personal service like this instead of some huge company that offers you a roll of the dice for service.

I contacted Marty's, received a call back almost immediately from Sally, who took the details of the problem and said she could probably get someone that same day. Ed called back almost immediately and said he could be here that very same morning! He spent some time listening to the problem, spent some time with the washer, then gave me the diagnosis. He confirmed an approximate price, but then gave me some pretty amazing advice: he said not to put more money into the washer. The cost to repair it was 1/2 what it would be to buy a new one, but he said the motor was making a funny noise and he felt I was just throwing good money after bad. He gave me recommendations on a brand to replace the machine, told me why he didn't like this particular model, and seemed to know literally everything there is to know about washers. I am IMPRESSED and happy with his service and advice.

Called Tue. 7/2 and was told 1st available date would be Tue 7/9[as with all companies contacted].A bright spot however when Sally,Martys wife took pity on me and said she would over-ride his schedule and fit me in Wed. 7/3.Marty called about 10:00am and said he would be at my house in an hour and he was.Professional in every way[appearance,manner,citing the problems with easy to understand terms].He proceeded to un-do the incorrect assembly of the refrigerator doors and put them back correctly balanced,Marty then vacuumed under the unit[plenty of dog hair and kibble]and to my suprise showed me how to apply Vaseline to the flat surface of the gaskets to keep them in good operating condition.Then he went to his truck and brought back and installed a new bulb.Can you say WOW?I can...Thank you MARTY.

I called Marty on a Friday afternoon, not expecting a response until perhaps Monday. To my surprise, he was available and came by right after the job he was at while he was on the phone from me. Extremely prompt and courteous. I had a garage fridge which had basically stopped working - the electricity was working (the lights turned on) but everything else wasn't working. Marty took everything apart and determined that the fan was broken. He rushed to get a part, came back and installed it. Everything worked like new. The whole process took roughly two hours - and he was a mensch in the process. Lastly - there was a slight humidity problem in the fridge today - we called him (on a Sunday) and he came over within 10 minutes, fixed the problem, and didn't even charge us! I would totally recommend him again. Only reason the score isn't perfect is because it was a bit pricey (I would have expected part of the labor fee to be included in the service call charge - but for good work like this, I ultimately don't mind.)

Marty came and removed panels from the back of the refrigerator, vacuumed the area, checked for any problems. He also removed a panel in the freezer dept. and checked that area. He didn't find any cause of the odor, however, by the next morning the odor was gone. I was very pleased with the service call.

There were disappointments.

My 25 year old drier wasn't heating properly. I emailed Marty on Sunday afternoon. On Monday morning his office called to see if I would be home. I was. Marty called and said he would be hear in about an hour. He was right on time & looked at my dryer. He had the parts he needed in his truck. He was finished installing the parts and gave the dryer a complete inspection and cleaning in less than an hour. I couldn't be more pleased

We had called his company before for other problems, and Marty's employee Ed had helped us before. But I'd never met Marty in person. From the moment Marty walked in I could tell he was a great guy. He was friendly, on time, and got right to work. He asked me about the problem and started working immediately. Having been in the business for a long time, he's seen it all, so I felt very confident that he would be able to help us. What I really like about his philosophy is that he educates his customers rather than keeping them in the dark. After he works with you, you feel a whole lot smarter about your appliances and empowered to diagnose problems. He is also quite open to helping people troubleshoot over the phone to save them unneeded service calls. This is an amazing quality and I wish every service person felt the same way. Overall, it took him a little more than 2 hours to complete the job. I was so grateful that we didn't need a new fridge or expensive parts. It was money very well spent!

Marty and Ed are always great. I can fix most things myself, but when I can't these are the only guys too call!

I called Marty's refrigeration and needed service the next morning before I had to go to work. They were able to schedule Ed to come out. He arrived early and fixed the problem quickly. The ice maker is working perfectly again. Very satisfied customer.

I got Marty's phone # from the yellow pages phone book. He came promaly when i said i had to throw out food from the freezer and couldn't make ice cubes on saturday. HE took out the old putin new contaols and cleaned the whole area, every thing worked perfectly and i would recommed this company and Marty absolutely.

In the previous several weeks a repairman from the factory-authorized service company had been at my house three times, first to diagnose the problem, a second time to replace the condenser fan, and a third time when the refrigerator had failed again in spite of the new condenser fan. On the third occasion, the refrigerator had begun cooling again, all by itself, by the time the repairman got there. He told me that because it appeared to be running properly there was nothing he could do, and he suggested that I call his company again if and when the refrigerator failed again. Four weeks later, on a Saturday morning, it did fail again. I considered calling the factory outfit, but hesitated because I was afraid that by the time they got the repairman back to my house the refrigerator would be running again and nothing would be resolved. Instead, I decided to call Marty's Refrigeration, highly recommended by a neighbor, first thing Monday morning, whether the refrigerator was running again by then or not. Sure enough, Monday morning the refrigerator was back in operation. I called Marty's, and that same day Marty himself came to my house, Undeterred by the fact the the refrigerator appeared to be running properly, he opened a service panel inside the freezer compartment and quickly found the cause of the problem. The fan that moves cold air from the freezer to the refrigerator compartment was failing. Marty showed me how could stop it with its finger and how when he took his finger off it, sometimes it would start again and sometimes it would not without a push. He also found a thermostat that had been visibly damaged by water leaking into it and freezing. The following day, having procured the necessary replacement parts from his supplier, he returned and installed them, bringing the long ordeal to an end. I have nothing but the highest praise for Marty. Where another professional, with the resources of a large corporation behind him, hand thrown up his hands, Marty had asked the right questions, listened both to me and to the sounds the refrigerator was making, and drawn upon his long experience to diagnose the problem in very short order. He had followed though with the repair quickly and thoroughly, and the price he charged for his service was fair and reasonable.

They saved us money by repairing our refrigerator instead of replacing it. They did a great job and I would use them again in the future if needed.

Marty responded immediately to my phone call. He came out with in 24 hours. Marty is great at what he does and is dependable and resonable. We have been using him for years! He is the best!

My dryer was not working properly-Marty was able to determine the problem, give me a fair estimate and replace the part needed.

Great service and very quickly performed.....
