Description of Work: Originally I contacted Joseph to renovate the flooring in our kitchen and adjacent small bathroom, but he ended up doing much more than that. In the kitchen, he removed the old linoleum and underlayment and put in a beautiful oak floor that he sealed in a natural color. He repaired damaged kitchen cabinets, installed a natural stone backsplash behind the new countertop, and installed new lights. He completely tiled the bathroom, which included first moving out an old clubfoot bathtub and then refitting it with new showerhead faucets. He removed the wall paper, added new shelves in cabinets, as well as new shelves in the basement stairs, which he redecorated, as well as the kitchen and bath. Upstairs, he painted the bathroom, also replaced the old underlayment with a bright oak floor, rebuilt a big cabinet, installed a new shower rod and fixed a pocket door. Joseph was always on time, stayed on the job, often worked very late, even past dinner time, and was always cheerful, accommodating, and full of wonderful, helpful ideas. His work is meticulous, with a great attention to detail, yet he works fast. I cannot imagine anyone I would want to hire better than Joseph. When he left, we felt we had gained a friend.

+ -1 moreHe is very good and very efficient. They made sure to clean after themselves. They even took our dog out on a walk one day. They were very friendly and cooperative. He was willing to make the floor look exactly how I wanted it. They were very willing to work with us to achieve our goals. The price was fair for the job that was done.
Description of Work: He came and we had him change our living room carpet to hardwood flooring.

+ 5 moreJoseph did the total remodeling work for our house. We started looking for them to do the flooring of our project, but was so impressed with them that we ended up giving them all of the project minus plumbing and electrical. The quality of the work was A+, but the most impressive part was the honesty and professionalism. They worked with me every step to ensure work was done to our requirements, was patient, and worked long hours to ensure that the project was finished on time. For example, when I needed design ideas for tiling the master shower and bathroom walls, Joseph patiently worked with me for an whole evening playing with the tile sets, giving me advise until I came up with a design that I like. He is also very particular about perfection and doing the job right, which is not common these day unfortunately. Finding a contractor that will do a good job is hard these days. Finding an honest contractor that is pleasant to work with throughout a long project... well, that's even harder. Good luck with your project, and definitely give Joseph a try.
Description of Work: Remodeled kitchen, master/hall baths, basement, laundry room, new hardwood floors throughout, whole-house interior painting. They demoed the old stuff, installed kitchen/bath cabinets and tubs, tiled walls and floors, painted the interiors, refinished hardwood stairs and rails, installed new hardwood floors, fixed locks and doors, installed new doors, installed new closet system, etc.

+ -1 moreThey quoted a price of $595. They arrived to do the work and found the apartment a complete mess by the old tenants. They discounted the price and then were nice enough to take on the mess. It caught me by surprise that they were really sweet people.
Description of Work: They sanded and stained two floors in two different rooms.
