Thaddeus and Justin took great care with all my belongings. They showed up early and worked hard for 8 hours. The rate this company charges is amazing! Only 35/hour/person. Reasonable travel fee and low minimum. And insurance was also quite reasonable. I got the insurance after a previous bad experience without it. But these guys were so careful it seemed silly. They assured me right at the start they would take excellent care of everything and they certainly did! Much better care than my husband's move earlier with a company that cost considerably more. At the storage unit they packed items carefully, maximizing the space and also respecting my request to have certain items in the front. They were terrific. One small issue - I had requested some packing of fragile items and wall art from the office when I made my appointment and also when I confirmed but no packing materials were on the truck. No matter because Thaddeus and Justin were creative in using pads and suggesting I take a couple of fragile items in my car. Fortunately I had packed almost everything. A great experience for a great price!

They were reasonable, inexpensive, punctual, did exactly what they said they would do, nice, pleasant, and very helpful. They went out of there way to do the job right.

Everything went just fine with this company. I don’t have any complaints with this company. I would use them again.

James, Justin and Alex of Joey's Movers showed up early and didn't stop until the last box was delivered. They were professional, pleasant, helpful and the hardest workers I have seen in ages. Patricia, who scheduled my move, helped me make smart decisions that I hadn't had to make in 30 years (last time I moved!). They will be back next week to move the second half of my stuff to my new home. I'm looking forward to seeing them again. I highly recommend Joey's Movers. ... Beth

The movers were scheduled for 1pm on Saturday, then they called at 7pm the night before to say they would be there at 8am. Thanks for the 12 hour heads-up. When they showed up they were pleasant, but after 4 hours and they still had not finished packing the truck, it was getting frustrating. We only had a 2 bedroom condo size load and they were taking 1 box at a time to the truck. My husband and I let it go and when they were finally ready to leave the truck died and they didn't have any jumper cables with them. So my husband had to ask all the neighbors for jumper cables and jump this huge truck with his little car. An hour later, they finally left our condo. It turns out the truck was rented and they were supposed to leave it running the whole time to use the liftgate. I was shocked, considering that it would have filled our garage with exhaust and potentially been a health risk if they had done that! By the time they got to the house it had been 5.5 hours since they started. Loading was a nightmare, but unloading was worse! One guy was complaining the whole time that he couldn't lift more than a box, the truck was constantly running and kept shutting off so the only guy inside the back of the truck would have to stop and restart it, another one scraped up the wall with our treadmill and by the time they left the new carpets in the house were nice and dirty. To top the 9 hour day off, at the end when they called in to run our credit card through, they tried to charge us for the hour that the truck was broken! The guys defense was that he only reported one roll of shrinkwrap! Give me a break! We used them 5 years ago and had a great experience! This time, not so...it was as if these guys were the B team because of the holiday weekend.

. They did a real good job for us. They were able to get this huge stuff in a room that we did not think would fit in. They did not help in packing but only in moving things. Nothing got broken. They did a quick job and efficiently as we were paying them by the hour and we really appreciated that. We had good experience with them and I recommend them highly.

The crew was professional and polite. We were the first move that day and they arrived 30 minutes early. They worked efficiently and took resonable care with our belongings. They were able to complete our move only 30 minutes above the time quoted, and that was due to the additional stop added. I would recommend them and use them in the future.

Showed up on time, loaded things carefully (wrapping fragile furniture such as glass front cabinets). Also moved some not-to-go items to garage for Salvation Army pickup. Very accomodating and pleasant. Great experience.

I have used them many times and am very happy with them. They moved her quickly. It was miserably cold and they did a good job.

They did a good job and were really good about getting back to us. They were pretty professional and handled all of our possessions effectively. Nothing was broken. They weren?t the fastest and didn?t probably work as fast as they could have, but they worked pretty carefully. I appreciated that. Their price seemed to be good. We had checked out a couple of companies that were less expensive, though. I do think their price could?ve probably been a little bit more competitive. I am still happy with their service. I would recommend them.

They arrived on time when they were supposed to, they did a good job, were very nice, and the time they took to move everything was shorter than I expected. The price was very reasonable.

I moved into a third-floor unit in a building without an elevator on a hot July day. I also have antique furniture and they packed and moved it beautifully. They were polite and efficient movers. I highly recommend them!

It was a good experience from beginning to end. The owner of the company came out to give me an estimate beforehand, so the final cost ended up being almost exactly what I expected. I had a bad experience before with a different moving company charging me hundreds of dollars during the move for packing materials b/c they used shrink wrap on everything, etc. But there were no surprises or hidden costs with Joey's. On moving day the movers showed up right on time and worked really hard all day. The only reason I gave a B on professionalism is that one of the movers was constantly on his cell phone texting etc. I thought that was very tacky and the company should have a policy against their workers doing that while working.

They came to my house - covered most of the furniture (there were only two rooms of furniture) - loaded it and brougt it to the new location - this was an elevator building. They seem to work slow - and then they brought my futon pieces that they had broken - This is not a good moving company and should not be recommended to anyone or on your list. They have never called to confirm receipt of the faxed claim or showed any concern what-so-ever. Thank you.

For starters, they were 30 mins early. Clean truck and the employees had a nice appearance. The three employees were very courteous and worked the entire time with out breaks. They were very careful with my belongs and not one item was broke. My sister and brother in-law used Joey's to move last year also and were just as pleased as I am. If you want great quality movers and a fantastic price, this is the place to call.

Excellent. I've used them before and even though their prices have since increased they gave me the rate I had last time. That said, they have a two hour minimum and mine was a 20 minute project. Both on the phone and moving, however, they were courteous and very professional. Highly reccomend.

They were very helpful, careful and respectful. They knew where to go at the assisted living facility. They were even willing to come back another time and help rearrange some heavy pieces of furniture. They were very good to do business with.

Everything went extremely well. They showed up early, were very professional and fast. I have used them previously and was happy with their service. I will use them again when we move out of the apartment.

The owner himself came out to give me a price, which is what I paid in the end. It wasn't cheap, but it was a fair price and they stuck to it. Everyone in the office from the first time I made phone contact was helpful and friendly. The move itself--on a very hot day--went without a hitch from the time they arrived (early) at 5:30 a.m. to the time the last piece was expertly stored in the storage facility. The crew of three guys and one foreman moved with dispatch and efficiency to wrap everything, and even though the day was sweltering, cheerfully carried my 60 boxes of books and everything else down three flights. They packed the (brand-new) truck securely; they were finished in 3.5 hours and took off immediately for the destination 3 hours away. They arrived without incident and unpacked and stored my things carefully and quickly. They were done before 5 p.m.

These pieces of furniture were being moved to "stage" a house for sale. I told them it would only take about 15 minutes, and it did. They book a minimum of 2 hours for a set fee. They moved each piece and didn't scrape walls or scratch hardwood floors. I asked them to be careful with the heavy stove in the kitchen, as the floor was Pergo and would chip if something heavy dropped on it. They were curious and wanted to know all about Pergo, so I obliged. When they were done, they knew they had an hour and 45 minutes left and asked me if I was sure there wasn't anything else they could move! Really nice guys, courteous, capable, and seeming to want to become even more knowledgeable.

Not well. They were not very careful with our items. They scratched just about every frame for each piece of art we owned. They broke the arms of my grandmother's rockers and I had to yell at one of them for kicking a box of lamp shades up the stairs. They even went as far as to complain about the amount of stuff we had and I had to remind them they were being paid by the hour.

Our starting time was delayed by two hours, which was better than the original estimate of three to four hours. When the movers finally arrived, they had sent only three movers, when we were quoted (and paid for) four to move a steel-framed upright piano from a third-floor apartment. The crew leader was very nice and upbeat, but some of the other crew members were (understandably, I guess) in foul moods by the time they arrived at our house. One openly asked who was responsible for tipping them, which I found highly unprofessional. However, the young lady at the office was nice, despite the delay, and the piano was moved successfully with no damage.

Slow as molasses. Though they didn't break anything, they were very slow. They were slow moving everything onto the truck, taking a little over two hours to do so even though everything was already packed in boxes and ready to go. Once we got to the self-storage place, they had one guy unloading the truck while the other TWO people were organizing the storage room. You don't need two people doing that. I ended up moving everything myself from the truck to the storage unit on the third floor. Even with me doing the bulk of the moving at the destination site, it still took about two hours to complete the move once we were there. The storage room is quite large and comfortably fit everything. The move ended at 2:45 but the team leader insisted on putting 3:00 as the end time. Oh, and they charged me for the time needed to fill out paperwork when they arrived. I would NOT recommend them to anyone.

Overall, quite good. Movers were hard working, skilled, and caused minimal damage. They were timely (actually, early) and professional. Quote price was within about 10% of actual price. However, they had to add a truck and 3 movers, for which I did not pay, a very impressive service. Downside was the lack of preparation, they didn't even bring an Allen, or socket wrench for the move out, so the entire move was delayed while I went to a friend to borrow an Allen, and they had a driver bring the socket. Then, on the move in, they again didn't bring either wrench, even though it was mostly the same guys. Price was on the high side, but the service was good.
