Garage Door Corp

I kinda love Garage Door Corporation. Twice, they have saved me several hundreds of dollars. Several years ago, they installed a tortion spring system in my home garage for a price that beat out other quotes (and they did a very nice job), and then today, they were able to fix a garage door opener at was probably from the 1970s for a garage I rent out, when I thought I was going to have to replace it. Rudy the technician was nice, polite and did a fine job.

Excellent. They came out within one day of my initial call and replaced the struts. Technician had to go back to the shop to get proper sized struts - took about 30 minutes. Courteous and got the job done quickly!

Excellent! After I called, Brad arrived the next day to replace both springs as well as lube the door. I most definitely recommend GDC and will call him when I need a service check on my door and opener as well as replacing each if necessary.

Great. Came a few days earlier and replaced sensors, but the motor just died out. Gave credit for payment for previous work and replaced our opener. Very efficient work and great installer.

Eric came by and fixed a snapped tension wire , reattached it , lubricated the whole system and even lubricated the other garage door.

Brad and the team were great. Very straightforward, no sales talk to cut through, no reading through the lines. The quotes offered were up front and the lowest/most reasonable by far. Reading through the website its clear their priority is to do solid work at affordable prices. Other companies I had came out to do a quote and the price was almost double + a pitch. Every conversation with Brad was how to do it in the lowest risk/cheapest way possible while getting everything operational again. I really appreciated this. Finding a company to do any kind of home repair can be really stressful not knowing who to trust, but it was pretty apparent to me early on that I could always rely on this company for my garage related repairs. And to really drive this home. A couple months later I started having issues with an unrelated component on my garage opener (range of controllers). I called Brad up to see what a quote might look like and get his thoughts. He recommended a couple products (he even looked up on the vendor site and amazon on the call) and gave me some tips on installation. He said that they could order and install for me, but said I could do this myself and the installation was pretty basic. This spoke volumes to me. His recommendations worked perfectly and the installation was a breeze. Most companies would've turned this into another quote/project, but Brad helped me understand this was something I could fix myself. Any garage issues I have in the future I will be going straight to Garage Door Corp and also recommending to everyone I know!

It is so refreshing to work with an old school type of company. Their website, while a little outdated, is very clear and gives great information on what could be wrong and how much it will cost. No coupons. No discounts. But that’s ok - cause their pricing is transparent. Rudy was great - such a nice young man. Articulate and efficient. Knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it quickly. Would definitely recommend and will be my go to for any future garage door repairs. Note: I usually don’t take the time to write reviews but was so impressed with this company that I am taking the time to write this.

This is the second time I have used the services of Garage Door Corporation and the second time I've been impressed. My 24 year old Lift Master garage door opener was malfunctioning so I called the company and Brad asked me a number of questions to determine whether the garage door opener could be fixed. As it turns out, electrical boards for the old opener were no longer available so he suggested a Lift Master replacement with wi-fi capability. I researched his recommendation and decided to schedule service which was completed only two days later. Brad and Rudy arrived on time and quickly replaced the opener and related components. They also programmed the built in Home Link garage door opener in my car and installed new garage door sensors. I can now also open and close my garage door using my smartphone from anywhere! I am very pleased with the service provided and would highly recommend Garage Door Corporation.

It was fine until last Friday when the opener stopped working. I called Garage Door Corp. and was told someone would be out Saturday morning. I asked if there was an approximate time for the appointment and was told it would be a morning "window" and someone would call that morning with an approximate time. I had some questions about how the door should work, including how fast it should work and how to get the web-based app to work. Person was very short with me on the phone. Very different from the conversation I had when I called interested in purchasing a new garage door opener. On Saturday I stayed home all morning waiting for the repair person but no one called and no one showed up. I called Garage Door Corp and left a message at 1:30 to see if there was an issue and got no response.

We've had Garage Door Corp out for two different repairs, and they're fantastic. Super professional, thorough but quick when diagnosing the problems, and reasonable in terms of pricing. I'd recommend them 100 times out of 100.

Eric tried to repair my 20 year old garage door opener and took over 2 1/2 hours in the attempt, wherein the chain wouldn’t hold........so I had him replace the unit the following Monday. He didn’t charge me for the initial call as he said, “ no charge as I didn’t fix it”. The new unit is a LiftMaster and works smoothly and quietly now. Much thanks to the company. I feel the replacement was a very fair price.

It went well! Brad was very responsive. Repaired very quickly. Even sprayed lubrication on all the parts. Would recommend his services to anyone.

My garage door was stuck open and would not close. I called and the first thing the gentleman said we would try to fix this without a service call! How wonderful, a company that puts the customer first! He asked me the brand of the opener and suggested I hold down the button and not take my finger off. I said I needed to leave the house in a few minutes and wanted to make sure if something happened my car was not stuck inside the garage. He waited until I pulled the car out of the garage. The first idea did to work. He then suggested I check to see if anything was blocking the sensors. It was a windy day and some debris had blown in and coved a sensor. I swept it away and the door closed. When I need a garage door company for service, they are the one I will call.

Returned home one evening and the cable on one of the extension springs snapped off. Called the next morning and Paul arrived midday. Gave me the option of replacing the cables -- both would need to be replaced -- or converting the extension springs to a single torsion spring which is safer and quieter. Chose the latter, more expensive option. The garage door now runs smoothly and we feel far more safe with the torsion spring secured above the door...no more springs or cables potentially snapping and causing harm. Did call four days later because I noticed the door was dropping "hard". Brad, the owner, came out that same afternoon and adjusted the drop, at no additional cost. Works perfectly now!

Terrific customer service. I called on a Sunday morning and left a voice mail message. Brad Hershey returned my call within 15 minutes and asked questions to trouble shoot my problem. He informed me of the labor cost over the phone and I set up an appointment. Eric the technician arrived the next day. He was professional and worked quickly. Eric first discovered that the door was set in a manual mode. He showed me how to put it back into regular mode so that the door would properly work with the garage door opener. Eric also opened up the cover to the garage opener to inspect the gears inside. They looked okay, so he went ahead and lubricated the parts to ensure they continue to work well. He noticed that three brackets on the door were cracked, so he replaced them. Eric also aligned the door sensors, but because they have been working irregularly, I asked him to replace them. That's when Eric discovered that at some point in time one of the sensors was replaced. He explained that the safety door sensors are packaged as a set of two and they should both be replaced at the same time. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and pricing from this company and would recommend them to other condo owners in my building.

He did a good job to replace the garage door remote. He is pricey.

I had an old Torquemaster system from Wayne-Dalton that went bad. Parts are too hard to obtain so at Garage Door Corp's recommendation, I replaced the entire spring setup. I am glad I did because they used "standard" parts that can be easily serviced in the future. Garage Door Corp was knowledgeable, honest, competitively priced and responded quickly, I am very happy with the quick response, quality work, and affordable price.

Fantastic! Brad appreciated the urgency of our situation (could not get cars out of garage!). Found the main problem (needed new springs) and also found a minute, small problem (literally a nail that wasn't hammered all the way in, that was catching) to make it run smoothly. He is very generous with advice in advance--won't come and charge you if it's something easy (like making sure sensors are aligned). He is absolutely our "go-to" guy for anything we need with the garage door.
