The guys were very courteous, accommodating and professional. The sales rep was very responsive. He returned phone calls promptly and answered all my questions. The work was done neatly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend them to friends and neighbors. Oh wait, I just recommended them to my neighbor across the street!

They company was recommended to us through a friend. We were very happy with their work. Found them on Angie's List and we hired them. They provided a level of professionalism that exceeded my expectations. They were on time and cleaned up afterwards. Very smooth operation and experienced technicians.

39% drop in energy bill during the winter! Upstairs furnace maybe ran 14 times during winter. Was relieved to hear it kick on just because I knew it was still working. Best home improvement we have done other than putting hydronic heated garage floor in.

It went lousy. No one showed even though I had paid $450. No one called - I called them. They gave me $100 credit because of this. I had taken a vacation day. It took another 2 weeks for them to come. I wasn't home they put "some" open cell and then "some" closed cell over the open cell. Some places it was 1.5" open cell with no closed cell. Other places there was plenty of closed cell. They put some insulation on the walls in parts - which they weren't supposed to do at all. It wasn't going to do any good. The closed cell shrank away from the walls leaving leakage. I asked James to meet me there and explain what was done. He didn't. In February he was asking for the balance. I said I had stated "I wanted someone to check this with me." He said what if he took pictures and showed the owner. I said "ok." I hadn't heard anything since. They blatantly changed the terms of the contract without notifying me OR going over this with me. The erratic coverage plus shrinkage leaves me to believe that this was a job that - they just put underneath the sunroom the "leftovers" from other jobs. I got a letter from an attorney May 6th asking for payment. I asked to talk to the owner and the sales rep. No one responded back. I would never use this company. They don't follow up. They don't care about your time or the "work that they do." All they care about is that they are paid whether they do a good job or not. I had several people "neighbors" and "relatives" watching to see how it went. I told them - don't use them! I would never go with them or use them ever again. You are warned! They shouldn't even be on Angie's list.

Great experience from beginning to end. Brian was on time when he came out for the estimate. He sent a detailed quote promptly and we proceeded with the service in a timely manner. They sprayed insulation in our attic and in a crawlspace - went very well. My only complaint was that they didn't clean up as well as I thought they should have. Minor detail though - because it's an unfinished attic.

It was good. He was informative I guess. He was professional as well. There was really no work done though. There was nothing really that stood out. It was just a quick check up. My overall experience with him was good. The price was good and he was on time.

A+ They were responsive, fairly priced and cleaned up everything after job. This is the second time I have use their services and highly recommend.

It wasn't that great. The machine wasn't working right and the technician didn't seem knowledgeable.

The service went okay. They did exactly what the deal stated. One technician came out and completed the job in about an hour. I had no issues with scheduling the deal. I think I could have gotten the service for free somewhere else, however.

Did not go with the service because I thought other alternatives were needed to the structure of the roof which would affect the Eco Tec Insulation.

I really did not know to say about them. The price was the same as what I paid for somebody else but they use the product. I called the chemical company in White Plains, New York of the product that they use. I have more on issue than the owner of Eco Tec. So, when they came out to tell me about it was a sales speech. It was not a bad sales speech that the guy actually said some things that were really cool and interesting. At the end of the day, if you use their products, there could be health concerns because that product contains some ingredients were not good for the result. And that come straight from the manufacturer. And we talk to these guys, the sales was part that just not have that chemicals. That we could put benign for this is not the truth. They are committing fair and stand up for installation are the top in the country. Their strip is standard. You go by those standards and there is a reason why some people do not use some companies or some companies answer when use the standards to meet those minimums because people look in that industry, they look to California candidate for whom they use. This guy did know much of the company. I asked them bunch of questions, he was very nice and punctual. He is the guy who smiles at you right before they push you afterwards. They were really responsive and answer a lot of questions they could. There were things they did know that is why I did my research. They were punctual and professional.

The company was very prompt in contacting me after I purchased the big deal and I was able to quickly schedule a Saturday appointment. The owner, Michael Pinsler attended to the appointment himself, but he was unprepared. The weather on the day of our appointment was too hot for him to use the thermal scanner and, because of the style of our house, he was unable to give us an energy evaluation. He repeated over and over that he could not do anything for us. When I asked for a refund, he said he'd never had to issue a refund before, but would authorize it with his office in our case. His office manager said she's work with Angie's List to see what could be done about processing a refund. I never heard back from her. I appreciate you setting me straight! I wish I had contacted you sooner!!

They did a good job and were competitively priced.

They came out on a cold day. They could not do the correct reading. I paid for this service, and he mentioned this was not the right temperature. He told me that he had some previous appointments that he had to cancel the day due to the instruments not working. I feel like they did not have as much confidence as another company that I had gone with. They were nice and they did have one of the devises that worked and measured where heat was escaping; I did also learn something from them.

We purchased the deal solely to confirm that that insulation work we had done previously by them was insufficient. The salesman which came to the appointment was ready to upsell us on wall insulation when we explained the problem. Once inspected, he confirmed "yes' that there were many voids and spaces missed by the crew, but now they "had people that knew what they were doing" and he would convey to the owner Josh our issue, and someone would contact us to remedy the problem. We heard nothing for weeks. Then when I messaged them thru Angie's List, a woman called on a Monday at 5:00 PM and said that they could come out the following day. I could not comply on such short notice, and she said they would contact me again, "when they could fit us in". Once again we heard nothing for weeks. Then one day my husband called. Once it rang and no one answered. Then he tried again, and a man that identified himself as Josh answered the phone. My husband explained the storied situation and he claimed to know nothing about it. We arranged to have a crew come out again on 5/27 which they spent 3 hours respraying insulation. Now we have the constant smell of chemicals when the A/C is on. Since we have a vintage home with radiators, our ductwork is in the attic where they sprayed. My assumption is that possibly they stepped on, or dislodged some piece of ductwork allowing the fumes to enter the air exchange. Since neither me or my husband has had the ability (me) or time (him) to climb up and inspect, we can only speculate. The entire process has been more than frustrating.

This was a Big Deal purchase. Very professional. We went through the house with an infra-red device to determine where air was leaking in and whether insulation could be installed. The house is a very solid but not well insulated 1956 semi-attached home. To install the insulation would have required more disturbance and restoration than I wanted to endure. But I would contact them again if I decided I wanted to continue. I did not get an estimate for the job.

They did a good job and they were fine to work with. What they offer is very high end and a foam product. I am used to blown in and fiber glass. He was very helpful and explained everything to me very well.

It turned out good. They got the job done in about 30 minutes. The scheduling was very rapid. The technician was good.

We were able to determine cold spots of the house and an action plan for fixing them. A quote for insulation was provided, though we are not going to take advantage of it until later in the year.

James Schoenbeck, Senior Sales Associate, scheduled and cancelled the appointment three times. When he did finally perform the service, the camera was not charged and only partially worked. The evaluation was worthless. He recommended additional products that were not needed and his prices were very high. I would not recommend anyone work with him.

We actually decided that we wanted to use this company's services. When we received the contract for the job, the terms of the contract only provided for a warranty of the products and services for SIXTY days. That is just a little bit longer than the time it would take for our check to clear the bank. This was insulation for our house, not some temporary service.

The representative, Michael, arrived on schedule and walked through my house with an energy scan. He pointed out where my old home was losing heat through the walls, but emphasized that the main concern was my uninsulated attic. He proposed spraying open cell foam between all the attic eves and along the attic walls (about 2 feet high). I expressed concern that I'd still be losing heat from the attic via the windows in the 3 large dormers. Michael responded that "enveloping" the attic was still better that having no insulation at all. So far so good, I thought. He then wrote a proposal for the work at a cost of $5,600! I was shocked at the cost, but admit that I have not yet obtained competitor qotes for comparison.

Phil could easily have used this appointment to try to upsell additional, expensive services, but there was none of that. Indeed, he gave us very good news about the insulation in our home, provided explanations of why we would or would not want to add insulation at certain locations, and basically told us that the small amount of insulating that would be beneficial could actually be done by us quite easily and for far less (cost) than the minimum fee his company would charge to perform such a service. He even explained how we could do it, what products to use, etc. It was refreshing to deal with such a professional. From our conversations, it was clear he knew what he was talking about. And he took the time to explain his opinions/recommendations to us--again, without trying to sell us something we didn't need. His advice was very helpful, and he was very pleasant to talk to. (The office staff that called us to set up the appointment was also very friendly and easy to work with; they contacted us within 48 hours of our purchase of the Big Deal, and Phil showed up at out place on time, as scheduled.) Because of the professional manner in which he conducted that first appointment, I will certainly contact Ecotec in the future should we have any more home insulation concerns or needs. And if any friends or family be in need of home insulation work, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ecotec.

The technican walked through house, but seemed to have a problem with his device running out of battery. I wanted to have attic evaluated, but he did not want to see it, just aimed device at celing and said it wasn't too bad. Did give me an estimate for insulating crawl space under part of house, which I did not pursue because it seemed high.

Revealed problem areas. Suggested remedies. Great experience. I learned a lot.
