Description of Work: It was a Big Deal for $59 for an Attic Energy Evaluation and Thermal Camera Scan, Plus $250 Credit. I expected a little bit more. He came on time. I expected to see more suggestions with the type of work that we needed done.

Description of Work: I purchased the big deal for $59 for an Attic Energy Evaluation and Thermal Camera Scan, Plus $250 Credit. I did not end up using their service since I had a change of heart but they were very nice and responsive to me.

Description of Work: They just evaluated the walls with the infrared scanner.

Description of Work: Twice they came out to find the cold spots in my walls. They were so professional, honest, and thorough in my house assessment determining that no insulation outside of the type of patching that we could do ourselves, was needed. I really found their honest approach without trying to 'sell' me--so refreshing. I will definitely use them if I ever need insulation on a future home. Honest, clearly explained the insulation issues and very professional. Use these folks!!!

Description of Work: Pill and josh are very pleasant and knowledgeable. They were punctual and polite. They explained to me the needs of the house and the different options to insulate the house. They took their time and answered all my questions. We have not determine to what extend to insulate the house however should we decide we think they are absolutely the right people and they will do a superb job.

Description of Work: Ecotec was contracted to blow a foam based insulation into my home and garage attic. On their service date the work crew arrived late, then I was told that the job was not bid out properly and they could not insulate without adding some furring strips to the attic beams and that there would be an additional cost added to the original quote. I asked for a supervisor to arrive which he did about an hour later. The supervisor who later turned out to be part owner was named Jason who told me he had to go to the home depot to pick up some equipment before they could start the job. Once the job was started approximately 2.5 hours late I noticed the crew was moving around my home quite freely and some of the employees commented on what a nice home I had! The strong odor of the insulation forced me out of my home and onto my patio while the job was completed. Shortly before completing the job I noticed the crew cleaning up their equipment at an unusually quick pace! The next time I checked for the insulation crew they had left for the day and left behind contact eye solution they had brought and were using throughout the day. I felt their quick exit was quite suspicious and I checked some of the areas in my home where I kept valuables. When I checked my jewelry box which was located in my bedroom, I observed $4,000.00 of cash all in 100 dollar bills that I had for an emergency was gone! I immediately contacted the Streamwood Police Dept. and a report was filed. While the Police officer was next to me I received a call back from the owner of Ecotec (Jason) who stated while on speaker phone in front of the Streamwood police officer “he could not locate any monies on any of his employees” and went onto state that one of the employees that was in my home was suspected of a theft in another home they had done work in and that he would be terminating the employee whose name was Olen.

Description of Work: Called to get a quote. They said they would be in the area on a Thursday but I told them I would only be available on Tuesdays or Fridays to show them around our project. After a number of calls to arrange a date. He said he didn't really quote our area but would give my number to another on staff who lived in the area. 3 weeks later it's getting colder and I'm still waiting.
