Easy to set up a time for the estimate. Estimator was very well informed and professional. The crew did a great job with the spray foam and I really like the product. The install crew was fast, flexible and very nice to work with.

We were remodeling our family room which involved the removal of all the walls which gave us the opportunity to reinsulate. We contacted two Icynene installers, one of which was Eco Tech. Their estimator, Jeff was very responsive, he was right on time and had a proposal to me in a couple of days. Their price was competitive, the schedule fit, so we gave them the contract. The day they did the work they sent two prep men to cover and tarp the areas, the main crew arrived a couple hours later and they very efficiently did the work and cleaned up. All and all a very smooth experience, we would use them again in a minute ! The family room was instantly warmer, and I'm really looking forward to having a warm garage to work in.

The salesperson visited within a week of us calling and we scheduled the insulation work for the following week. The crew came in, did the work, and cleaned up. They consulted with me about which was the best way to remove old insulation to minimize wear and tear in the house. The crew was incredibly conscientious about getting the job done with minimal disruption to our family's life.

Eco Tec's manager visited our house (frame bungalow) to estimate the job in late July. He estimated about $2,500 for the job including restoring to its original position any siding (vinyl) that would need to be pulled back to inject the foam from outside the house. We scheduled the job for September. On the day, the crew arrived late, but got right to work. Within about 4-5 hours the job was completed. The crew was efficient and cleaned up well after themselves. At the end of the job, the crew manager totalled up the amount of wall space filled and determined that the square footage was less than what the estimate had been based on. This was partly because we uncovered an additional area that had been insulated, and therefore we did not apply the foam to that area nor to other areas we knew to be insulated. There were also some areas parts of the wall that the crew couldn't foam from outside the house. The crew chief reported this to the Eco Tec office, which determined that my deposit of half the estimate would cover the job, save for $50 or so. Eco Tec graciously decided to call it even. So we ended up spending half of the estimate for the full job. My only concerns are that on a couple of times, I had to insist that the crew insulate particular areas they had assumed were already insulated. Second, the bore holes left in a section of wooden siding produced some unsightly chips in the wood. We spackled and patched all of this afterward, but we wished we didn't have to do extra work to cover up the chips. After the work, we noticed a crack in the interior plaster on one section of wall that had been foamed. I don't hold anything against Eco Tec for that. It's more of a head's up to owners of older houses that this is one thing to watch out for with blown-in insulation. All this being said, though, we are very pleased with the results. As the colder temps approach, we can feel the difference already. The house holds heat much more readily and for a longer time than it did before.

We were in the middle of remodeling a room upstairs in our house. Our contractor was originally going to put in fiberglass batts. But we stopped work to have EcoTec spray in foam to get high insulating efficiency. They were able to schedule us quickly and the work went exactly as planned. It was a hot day and we could tell a difference immediately after the foam was sprayed in. Eco Tek did a nice job of making sure that all crevices were filled in. They gave me the opportunity to inspect the room before they left to make sure that the I was happy with their work. And they blew in foam on a small interior wall where I asked them as well. Very good and smooth experience. I will be using them again as I remodel other parts of the house.

Original fiber glass insulation was removed due to mold remediation in the attic. I called Eco Tec and spoke to Jason. He came out on 9/10/2010 to inspect the attic so that he could do a quote. We had three companies that we had quote on the job and decided on Eco Tec. We scheduled the installation around my schedule which I liked very much. The installation team of three were early and very personable and professional. When they started the process, one of them came down to inform me that there was one area that was not included on the original quote but he felt was necessary. Thankfully they were able to take care of that issue as well. They finished in about 1 1/2 hours. I paid them and they left.

I called Eco Tec roughly 1 year ago to give me an estimate for spray foam insulation at my mother's home. After doing some research and receiving other quotes I found Eco Tec's quote to be extremely fair. I called and scheduled my appointment using the nearly 1 year old estimate and they quickly added me to their installation calendar. The installers arrived on-time, promptly placed protective plastic over the windows and doors and started to install the product. It took them roughly 2.5 hours from beginning to end and they left the space just as clean as it was when they arrived.

Was $2000 but received comed rebate. And they discovered a mold issue which we would never have known and gave us a couple mold guys to call for second opinions.

Everybody was friendly and helpful. Tom, the salesman, took accurate measurements and thoroughly explained the advantages of icynene which paralleled what I had already researched. The installers were professional, clean, understandable, and diligent about protecting my tools and property from overspray. The project was finished at about 7 pm, and they were courteous and helpful the entire time. I paid the balance three days after the project was complete. Katarina was helpful in maximizing my energy rebate paperwork. As i move to remodel other parts of my home, I will surely give this company a call again.

They did cancel on the estimate a few times and were not as prompt as they could be. I understand that though. They finally came and told me that they would mail an estimate to me and it never came. I called them and they told me they would drop it off on a Thursday, they never did. I called them again that Saturday and left a message. I have not heard from them. I was practically begging them for the estimate but they do not seem to want the work.

It went great. It could not have gone better! They quoted me right away. They came and did the job the next day. They did more than we agreed on and didn't charge me extra! How do you beat that?

Before we could schedule Eco tec for service, we decided to add 2x4s on all the beams in the attic so we could get the 5 1/2 inches of insulation we needed, and so we could dry wall in the future. They were absolutely great with understanding this would take us awhile to get done. And, Tom was very punctual about answering all of our questions each time we called, or returning calls within a few hours. Simply wonderful customer service! Also, Tom made sure we had all the info to get our rebates for this work from Peoples Gas. Eco tec came Monday morning around 8:30am. They set up the attic, taped up the windows and brought the hose into the attic. Around 10am they told us they had to run to Crafty B***** because the hose was broken, and they were going to try to fix it. By 11:30 they told us the bad news, they couldn't fix the hose, and would have to come back tomorrow. Tuesday, they arrived at 11am, right when they said they would. They brought the hose from the truck, through the kitchen window, and straight up into the attic. The job took about 4 hours to complete. Already, we notice a huge temperature difference upstairs. The workers were very professional, and cleaned everything up. They shaved off insulation that was past the beams, to make it easier for us to hang the drywall. (Thanks!) Very professional and reliable company. Have already recommended to friends. Hope to receive the rain barrel soon!

Project went very well. I was promptly contacted for a quote and the meeting was on time. On the day of the job they arrived as scheduled and began work spreading plastic over my floors and furniture before begining work. They were quick and efficient and vacuumed the floor on the their way. I interested to see the difference this winter. They also directed me to rebate programs and tax credits that were available for the work completed and ensured I had the proper paperwork to get the rebate.

My husband called Eco Tec on Tues evening and left a message to get an estimate on insulation. Someone called him back on Wed. The appt. was made for Thurs between 9:30 and 10:00 am. The gentleman said he would call when he was on his way from an appt. in Chicago Ridge. NO CALL NO SHOW

it was hard finding a place to park the truck in my neigborhood. They were very polite to my neighbors. They drilled holes in the siding and injected the foam, which expanded and I checked to make sure it wasn't expanding into the apartments. They asked to do the third floor from the inside for safety reasons, but we negotiated a price reduction, as I would have to patch and paint two rooms. Then they put tape over all the holes. They also foamed the inside walls of the back porch.

It went very good overall. They arrived on time. They put plastic up to cover the windows and one wall which was not being insulated. They then sprayed the insulation onto the walls. Then they cleaned up. It tool about 1.5 hours, which is what they estimated it would take. They showed up about 15 minutes early, and were very nice and friendly. The insulation seems good.

I'm happy with the results. We live in a 100 year old house and the second floor got very hot in the summer. We had the insulation added hoping that it will keep the upstairs cooler. So far, it feels like it is working very well. We no longer feel the temperature change as we walk up the stairs.

They were punctual and professional. Although they had to do some additional work, their price remained the same. The quality of their work was very good and I was satisfied with their service.

I'm very happy with the job they did. I was interested in spray foam insulation, but I assumed that it would be too expensive. I called some insulation companies just to find out, and was pleasantly surprised at how affordable it was. My project was smaller than Eco Tec's usual minimum size, and I live pretty far from their offices, but they did the job anyway by scheduling it at the end of a day when they were in my neighborhood. Brian answered all of my questions, his crew was there when they said they would be, and everything went exactly the way they said it would. They taped around my junction boxes so I wouldn't have electrical boxes filled with foam, and they covered everything so the room they were working in was kept relatively clean. They worked quickly and took all of their debris with them. In all, they did a great job, communicated very well with me, and were very professional. I wish I had talked to them before my last remodeling project.

Tom came out to give an estimate, and he was running a little late, but he called and let me know. He was only 10 minutes late, and he had to courtesy to give me the heads up. He delivered the estimate the same day, and I felt the quality difference over fiberglass installation was worth the extra money. We then scheduled the installation date 3 days from the day I said let's do it. Overall, the guys did a great job. The two guys came and covered all the tools and and all the equipment in the basement with plastic. They covered all the tools and the building materials to insure they wouldnt get ruined by the dripping of the foam. They sprayed the walls first and then the ceiling. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. I have seem other companies do the same type of installation, but they were no where as neat as Eco Tec. I would highly recommend them!

The company emailed me a quote for spray on foam insulation. The cost was higher than my budget. We plan on staying in the home for about 5 more years, so the extra cost was not worth it. I also looked at the additional literature sent to me, but I still wasn't convinced. Went with another Angie's List contractor.

Eco Tec suggested we remove the old insulation by someone else as it would be more expensive for them to do. It was a fair suggestion from them. I ended up doing it by myself. It was a tough job as we have a long and skinny crawl space, but it was worth saving some expense. I also had to arrange things in the basement so there will be no obstacles for them for the insulation application. On the day of the work, the work crew called in the morning for the estimate time of the day for them to come. They came right at the time they mentioned. It took a 3 person crew for about 2 hours to finish the job. They filled all the sill boxes as they are supposed to and they kept a work area clean while they worked. They did a great job.

They did a very good job. They were very clean and worked fast. They did a very good job with the work and we will use them in the future if we need to. Their prices were very competative.

From beginning to end, my experience with this company was outstanding. The bidding process, the scheduling, the installation, and the billing were all handled in a timely and professional manner. But beyond that, this is a company whose staff clearly takes pride in their work and who understands the meaning of customer service.
