It went well. We had planned on doing another section under the bedroom in the gangway, but the workers discovered that there was concrete board or stucco under the insulation board, so that part of the project was abandoned. The workers, especially Perry, persisted, and realized that there was open space under the porch and so that was insulated. They even kept good humor when they found our dead pet snake! There was good consultation and problem solving and I am happy with the result. They have a minimum price ($950) for any job, so it was hard to pay so much for such a small area, but warm children and lower heating bills will hopefully make it worth it.

Emailed the company to get an estimate for this small job. They provided this quickly without even seeing the space.The team arrived on-time and discussed pros and cons of different options.Extremely professional and knowledgeable.Did a great job removing dirty old insulation without getting the house messy.Within 1 day we noticed a difference in temperature in the front bedroom -- much cooler than before. (During a 100+ degree day in Chicago).Had I know Eco Tech was this easy to work with and their insulation product was this efficient -- would have done this years ago.Thanks Angies List -- another high-rated company we never would have know about without your list.

I had an attic space converted into another bedroom so we decided to go with spray foam insulation. Brian got back to me right away and everything was smooth. He was on time and very informative. He saved me dough by telling me I was over-doing it with closed cell foam so I went with the open cell. Ice dams are gone, the room is efficient, and I couldn't be happier. I was originally nervous about spending more for spray foam vs. fiberglass, but I have no regrets whatsoever since it all went great. The crew was right on time and very quick & professional. I will absolutely use Eco Tec again when I do more insulation.

First a person came to evaluate and give a quote (this was the $100 Angie's List Discount - which comes across as a bogus claim) They really need drop this cost/discount. It takes away from their overall professionalism. When the two man crew came out they covered everything that could be exposed to dust or foam, went about their work professionally and yet answered all of my questions during the process. When they needed to drill additional holes that were unanticipated due to some blockage, they explained the reason to me and asked permission first. They moved shelves in my garage and put them back. They said initially that when they leave, the holes will be the only physical evidence that they were even here. They kept that promise, filled the holes with Styrofoam disks that they said can be plastered over, (we'll see when the drywall guys come) cleaned up and left. They had a start-up problem when part of the pump didn't function. It took about 45 minutes to get the pump reconfigured and working. So all together it took about 3 hours from arrival to departure. I was very please with the process and recommended them to a neighbor in the same town home complex. They are scheduled to do my neighbors home sometime this week.

Received a bid very quickly. They were able to perform work within a week. Cost was reasonable.

Job went well and was done in only 1 day when it was estimated to take 2.

Tina was very informative and answered all of my questions. The work was performed as expected and I am very happy I had the insulation done. I have been talking about them since I had it done and would definitely recommend it to anyone that needs insulation blown in their walls.

Most recently, we received an estimate but did not use them.

Eco Tec Insulation was very professional and came out to give us an estimate to spray foam insulation over the basement rim joists. They emailed a quote that same evening. We scheduled to have the work completed. The installer did a great job and was very professional. He walked through the area first and we explained what we wanted. He also walked through the finished job with us showing us the work completed. The only reason I gave them a B for responsiveness was because we were told they would call the day before to give us a time that would come. No one called and we had to call only to find out they needed to re-schedule. A time was set up for the new date but no one called the day before again. I was a little worried when they were about 20 minutes late. I don't recall the time frame being a "window." Overall, though they were great and I would use them again and recommend them.

Previously just fiber glass installation, and we wanted something more effective to insulate this vulnerable area. Noticeable difference already, although it hasn't truly been winter weather yet. Scheduling the estimate and work was very easy; job was done quickly, cleanly and well. Very positive experience overall.

Ecotec came out within 3 days of calling them, they would have come out sooner but my schedule couldn't allow it. Jason came out to our house to measure and provide a quote. After he measured, he went out to his car to calculate the charges and withing 15 minutes he provided us with a verbal quote and later in the day he emailed us a written quote. We ended up hiring ecotec based off of their angie's list reputation and an endorsement from the american lung association. I feel confident that my house will be warmer without aggravating my asthma. Because of our construction delays, we had to reschedule the work date and their office was extremely helpful. Ecotec called the day before they were scheduled to confirm their scheduled arrival time and the day of the work they called and asked if they could come an hour earlier. They arrived on time, tapped windows and floors, and got to work. They was a three person crew: a sprayer (rich) and two guys to shave off the excess foam. Rich was extremely knowledgeable about the product and gave us tips on venting our roof properly and future ideas to think about. I can't express how helpful he was to us. The job was large and took about 5 hours from start to finish. I highly recommend this company. Excellent service from the estimate to the installation.

Jason came to our house promptly, and explained his recommendations in detail, including how Icynene works. He explained that his crew could tear out the bat insulation, but it would cost more than doing it ourselves or hiring someone. I appreciated his candor. We asked him for the foam insulation quote, along with an estimate to tear out the bat insulation. We hired EcoTec for both jobs. Tearing out the insulation cost about $450, with spray foam application $3000. Scheduling was easy and prompt. The work crew was efficient & clean. I did need to remind them to seal around one of attic window frames at the end of the day, which they attended to quickly. We are in the midst of high 90+ summer temps, and indeed, the attic temperature is remarkably & noticeably bearable. Interior AC temp is at 74 and the attic feels to be about 85, when it formerly would have been baking at 110+. We are pleased so far.

I did a lot fo research and chose them. They did the work to my satisfaction and did exactly what they said they were going to do. They were nice enough to tell me about a rebate. My wife felt they were extremely knowledgeable about this work.

Jason Levi came highly reccomended from a home inspector. He was extremely easy to deal with and schedule an appointment. We went into the attic and he described how all the glass spun insullation would be removed and we had some various drywall which would be removed as well. All the removal took an entire day of work. The next day, the returned and applied a very thick coat of spray foam insullation all over the roof deck and walls in the attic. During a hot summer day in Chicago, our attic would be around 150 degrees or higher. Now that we have the spray foam insullation the attic is very comfortable in temperature. It is only a couple degrees warmer than our bedroom. This apparently saves on a ton of cooling/heating costs. Jason (our salesman) was really great, we asked a lot of questions and he was always quick to respond to our emails. I was extremely pleased with thier company and highly reccomend Ecotech. I will 100% use them again if we need more spray foam.

They were the only quote we got, they were able to come out a couple days after them calling me back. They got there early in the morning.

It turned out to be excellent. They came out and completely cleaned out the existing insulation that was up there which was minimal. Then came in and sprayed an R50 expandable icynene, I believe is the name of the material, and filled up the entire attic area of the house. I am considering having him come back and do the walls. I have a much older house, 1897, and I have noticed an unbelievable difference on the top floor of this building. They were very professional and came out on time. They called me ahead of time to make sure that I was aware of things. They also gave me a consumers report in terms of what my rights are as a consumer. They were offering, up until the end of May, a rebate through a company for $850 towards the work. This is the first time I used this company.

It turned out very good. I emailed them and within 2 days, Jason, their salesman set up an appointment and he was prompt. He looked through the house and that took about 20 minutes. He was very knowledgeable and told me about the product. He told me he was going to send the proposal through email and by that afternoon I had the proposal. My husband and I looked it over and it was good and we scheduled it within a week and they were out yesterday. The 2 installers that came were very punctual, very polite and very professional. They cleaned up everything and it was a good experience. They did a very good job and provided great customer service.

Before they left i inspected the work and noticed ( as the did during the process) air cavities in the insulation. I found more and had the come back into house install more. I thought they should/would have examined the job well enough that I wouldn't have found the cavities. They did a normal amount of clean up. Seemed they were rushed to go to next job. I would hire them again.

They did it first under the house; it was very fast. The amount of insulation was quite big. They did the walls on a separate day, since they needed a special truck for it. They drilled small holes in the walls and filled the space in the walls through them. They cleaned up very well when they were done and covered up the holes to some extent. They were very nice, polite and fast.

It worked out really well; the heating bill went down by 30%. They did great work. They were very professional, came in, took care of the job, and were gone within the day. They were less than the 2 other companies that we got estimates from .

I also qualified for a rebate by using Eco Tec through a special program. I should be getting a check for $850 back. It is a nice deal. I think they are still running similar things. They did everything they needed to do. I wouldn’t want to do that. They had to crawl in the half attic space wearing white plastic suits because they had to be covered. It was not a pleasant thing to do. The whole second floor is wonderful. My closets used to be ice cold in the winter and hot in the summer. They are just as normal as the rest of the rooms. It was great. Having both of those insulated has been something we wanted for a long time. He explained everything. He was so kind and didn’t seem rushed. He was a very nice guy. I referred this guy over to my neighbor across the street, and he gave her a great price and did the underside of a bay window in her kitchen with a floor that had never been insulated. It was always freezing out there. It was the eating area. He went under there and he sprayed the foam in there. He didn’t charge her that much for it and it has been great. He does fabulous insulation as everyone say.

I left a message and the company got back to me right away and sent out a rep within one or two working days. Rocky, the salesman, was prompt, courteous, and very professional. He took measurements and sent me an email with the bid by the end of the afternoon. He followed up the next day with extra information about tax refunds and other weatherization grants available. He quoted me $1500 for the job, and I would have been able to get about 10% back in the form of a tax credit. These folks install spray foam insulation; in the end I decided to go with blown-in fiberglass, simply because it costs half as much (this is typical). I realize the fiberglass R-value is not quite as high (fiberglass is R15, spray foam about R19) and fiberglass does not have the airsealing advantage. But cost was a big factor for me here. If I were to go for spray foam for a future job I would definitely call these folks.

I contaced Eco Tec and spoke to Brian about what I was trying to accomplish. He was super helpful in explaining how foam insulation was installed and why it is so great. I explained that we were interested in only doing the basement rim joists before we finished the basement and he told me about foam insulation minimum charges (a minimum charge applies because the equipment used is so expensive, as is the preparation and precautions the crew needs take). After I gave him the dimensions of my basement he told me that the space I wanted done required much less product than the minimum charge covered...and then asked me if I needed foam insulation anywhere else. I told him about my garage ceiling and he explained that he gets at least one call a day to insulate garages in order to better insulate the room above. He sent a rep (Jason, so nice) out to price both my basement and garage ceiling and it came out to just a few hundred dollars more than the minimum, which meant I was almost getting two for the price of one! Once I contacted Brian and told him we were ready to go, I was scheduled within the week. His installers arrived on time and were nice, professional and quick. They covered everything in the garage and basement to prevent the foam getting on my things. They even removed extra drywall from the garage ceiling that was in their way. They were very respectful of my space and were done in just about 2 hours! They left everything just as clean as they found it. Brian and his team at Eco Tec were a pleasure to work with. I even called them the day before the install to have them add a line item to my quote (removing the old insulation) and they accommodated me with ease. What a pleasure to work with Eco Tec. I would certainly use them again and recommend them to anyone.!

I worked with Jason the sales contact and he was always quick to respond. The crew showed up on time and taped off everything. It was nice to see them take the extra time to tape/plastic off the entire walkway and the area below the attic where they'd be working. They made sure to keep the attic closed when working to remove the old insulation which kept the dust down. Everything was put into bags and dropped down when removal was completed. They made every attempt to get into some of the very hard to reach places in the basement, behind appliances and kept any overspray to a minimum. I was very surprised overall how neat the job was and how little cleanup I had afterwards. Basically a quick vacuuming/cleanup and that was it. Some other reports submitted have complained about the smell but I did not think it was bad at all. My wife has a bloodhound nose and didn't think it was bad either. Certainly did not require leaving the house. This stuff is not cheap but works very well. Make sure any electrical/wiring and in-wall work is done prior to insulating. I would certainly use them again.

They did the work in a day. They were nice, neat, fast, and professional. They communicated well and they explained well what they were doing. The price was good; it was not very expensive. The quality was good too. They responded the very next morning after I had called them. I will use them again in the future.
