Design Granite and Marble

Constantin and his crew did an outstanding job replacing our kitchen counter. First we used the website to identify several possible candidate granites from the lines he carries. Then we created a rough drawing of the countertop and visited the showroom to look at samples of the granite we had liked on the website. We were assisted in choosing one and the job was estimated. I made a deposit and Constantin visited my home to do exact measurements. The installation was scheduled for one week later and went smoothly: hold laminate was removed and new granite installed, including a backsplash. I asked the company to return because initially I thought I didn’t want a backsplash inside the appliance garage but later changed my mind. They returned and installed it without complaint at no extra charge. I was thrilled with the selection, the gentle and knowledgeable service in estimating and measuring from Constantin, and the beautiful job of installation done by Constantin and his team. I especially appreciated the follow-up correction after I changed my mind. The whole process was reasonably priced and the logistics were way easier than I thought they would be. GREAT JOB!!!

We came to work with Design based solely upon our searching the internet for a specific color of quartz stone. We came across a blue quartz stone we liked while working through a general plumbing supply/design house. It turned out, that specific color we were looking for had been discontinued, so after searching we found what seemed like an acceptable alternative. As Design was a listed distributor and local, I reached out to them via email one evening, and not hearing from them, simply dropped in their showroom a few days later. The showroom is small and adjacent to the fabrication facility. After milling about on our own for a few minutes, Constantin, the owner came in from the shop. He recalled/looked up the email, which had the dimensions and from that point on, service and responsiveness was excellent. The stone we were looking for wasn’t available but we found another, based upon samples on display, we liked even more. Constantin called the supplier, confirmed its availability, we agreed on a price and he ordered the slab. Once the space was built out, he came out, confirmed the final measurements, and a week later he was back for the install. The glass shower glass person was the last one in, and he pointed out that the installed stone was not properly pitched/level. I should have checked when the install was completed, and Constantine should have known better, but he came right out the next day and fixed it, no questions asked. He also volunteered to follow up with the stone manufacturer on some odd but naturally occuring shading in the stone. He even gave us some practical advice regarding a sink installation which had stumped us for years. After the slow response to our initial inquiry, their responsiveness has been excellent. I don’t have much experience in this area, but I could not have asked for more than I received from Design.
