Fair. We hired CTZ on basis that they were on the list of approved service companies for Viessman furnaces. This turned out to be incorrect. Faisal, the owner, also assured us that he knew all about Runtal radiators: that was also incorrect. We feel that Faisal did not manage his crew in a professional manner, which resulted in loss of continuity in the heating project, which resulted in extra time and cost to us. He also failed to give advice when advice was needed regarding the dimensions of a radiator - he didn't even measure even when we specifically asked his opinion, and this cost us time and several hundred dollars when the first radiator turned out to be too large. Although the workmen were good, honest, careful, and well-intentioned, the fact that it was 5 different people meant that the techs didn't know what the previous tech had done. Our biggest complaint is that the technician responsible for re-starting the Viessman furnace at the end of the project to install new radiators left before establishing that the furnace had lit and the system was working again: this was November, so pretty critical. It was really clear that none of the technicians knew anything about Viessman: in the end, I had to call Viessman and had a manager in Michigan walk me through it. We ended up replacing the ignition system, which had not been a problem before CTZ turned the system off at the start of the project. We had to get CTZ back to the house because of leaking radiator valves: because the tech who came had not been on the project before, he didn't know that the first tech (of four in total) had loosened all the valves on the radiator, nor did he know that the third tech hadn't tightened up the valves fully. We ended up paying extra because tech #4 didn't check those valves until he had completely re-done all the sweating and re-installation of the connecting pipework: work that was completely unnecessary. It should have taken 10 minutes to fix, but in the end took 7 hours. Faisal took zero responsibility for this error, which would have been prevented if he had sent the same techs for the entire project. The A/C upgrade, involving re-routing some of the pipework and adding new floor vents as well as a new return intake, went very well. The tech doing this job was pleasant, communicated well, and did a 99% great job. If it were not for this, our overall grade would have been lower.

The whole experience was very professional and less expensive than I anticipated. I had called around to a couple of different places who had quoted me similar prices but they were the ones that said they can come out right away and the lady on the phone sounded pleasant and accommodating. The guy arrived within 30 minutes (Mark) and was very friendly and easy going. Upon looking at the furnace for 5 minutes, he had diagnosed the issue as a part that needed to be replaced and ran out to his truck to get it. He came back in, and 10 minutes after that my furnace was up and running. All and all, my furnace was fixed in less than one hour after I made the call. Mark told me that they have been in business over 20 years, and told me about a club they have where when you join, all of your service calls are no charge. Being a single mom, and not having a man in the house who can take care of these things seems like the perfect thing to do... so I joined and I think that it's worth the piece of mind I will have knowing that if anything goes wrong I am covered. Very happy with the entire experience. Professional, fast and courteous. Keep up the good work guys!!!
Description of Work: Furnace would not turn on in the middle of the night. They took care of the issue by replacing a part.
