Description of Work: They were timely, capable, professional, reasonably priced and honest. They removed and replaced aging and failing stucco from third level of house and garage. Incredibly neat and clean work. I have already referred them to a friend who was likewise delighted with their work.

+ 0 moreChicago Stucco quickly responded to the request for a quote. Chicago Stucco was not the cheapest quote I obtained for the job, but they were the most forthcoming with references. When I asked for references in my area, I was provided with a list of all properties that Chicago Stucco had worked on in my town over the last 15 years - this was over a 100 total. I spot checked over a dozen, and all looked like the work had held up good. Once I selected Chicago Stucco, they matched the colors I wanted for the stucco. They kept matching until I was satisfied. The entire job took 5 days as they committed, though there was a slight miscommunication about what day they were to start. The workers were polite and cleaned up up well. Their workmanship is excellent as the stucco repairs were perfectly matched, and it all looks like new. There were minimal splatters onto the trim and landscaping. They used duct tape when covering windows and trim, which peeled some paint off the trim.
Description of Work: Chicago Stucco repaired and recoated existing stucco on my home. The house was first power washed, then all loose stucco was removed and repaired with self furring galvanized wire lath and nylon reinforced portland cement plaster texturized to match the existing stucco. All stucco was refinished with two coats of custom color Thorocoat.

+ -1 moreI called to remind/confirm appointment; representative said he would be out. I waited all day and he never showed. I called him back to find out what was going on. He said he had been out and had worked up an estimate. This would have been impossible as you can not see the work from the street or alley. I asked for the quote; he refused to fax and would only send via mail. It never came. I called to check and they did not return calls. Wasted too much of my time. Why didn't I check Angie's List first? I could have avoided this!
Description of Work: Called for Quote and on site estimate. Needed work done immediately. Scheduled for 12/26.

Description of Work: We called around to four companies total to help with repair/new work on our 1904 home. We recently had new windows and a new back door installed and needed to have someone come and match the existing work. All the other companies we called said they couldn't match it, but Tom directed us to their website which gave an example of our type of stucco. Tom picked up the phone every time we called and was very prompt about answering any and all questions we had, he came to our home the day he said he would to look at the work and give us an estimate. While Chicago Stucco was not the cheapest of the companies we received estimates from, it was the only company that could match the existing technique we had on our home. We have sent in a deposit check and they are set to begin work in 8 weeks.

+ -1 moreI ASKED FOR A QUOTE ON REPAIR/PATCHING ONLY AND ALSO FOR A QUOTE ON RE-STUCCOING THE ENTIRE HOUSE. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE ON PATCHING, SAYING THE WHOLE HOUSE NEEDED TO BE REDONE. THE OTHER STUCCO COMPANY WE CONSULTED DID NOT SAY THIS. THEY ALSO CAN'T DO THE WORK UNTIL SPRING 2006 (ESTIMATE GIVEN IN SEPT. 2005). BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT TO WAIT THAT LONG, WE WILL WORK WITH ANOTHER COMPANY.

+ -1 moreTHE REPRESENTATIVE WAS RUDE TO ME SEVERAL TIMES. THE END WAS HOW HE SPOKE TO ME AT MY HOME REGARDING WORK DONE BY ANOTHER COMPANY. HE STATED IT WAS AWFUL, DONE WRONG, ETC; REGARDING WORK HE DOESN'T DO, MIND YOU. THEN HE RANTED AT THE REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE OTHER COMPANY FOR NO REASON.
