Miguel is a lovely guy and so is his crew. He's very knowledgable about lawns, plants and shrubs. His prices are excellent and his communication is great.

Miguel (of Century) stands alone as someone who answers his phone and keeps his promises. He was swamped, like everyone was after the snowfall, with his regular contract clients. But, he said he'd fit me in and he did. I will use his services after the next big storm. And, I will follow his good advice and call ahead of time, when the forecast threatens.

Miguel and his crew arrived exactly when they said they would. They did a very meticulous job of blowing, raking, and mulching the leaves from my yard. I have a particularly difficult yard to deal with because I have no lawn. The entire yard is a garden with tall prairie plants in the front and a shade garden in the back. They were careful to get rid of all the leaves and Miguel went through at least twice to make sure everything was clean. They also removed the leaves than lined the curb in front of the house as I had requested. I was very impressed. I highly recommend them and will be using them again next year!

They initally removed some ivy. They also did some trimming of branches. After that we decided to have them take down the tree. They grounded down the stump 18 inches and re-mulched the area. They were really professional and work with you. He seems to have the customer's best interest in mind. It was really excellent. He was supposed to be done last week, but his equipment wasn't working properly. He stayed in contact with us the entire time about rescheduling. If you need some lawn work done with your best interest in mind he is the person to go with.

Inquired about snow plowing service. They asked for my address and I have not heard from them again. Went to a different plowing service so I will not have anything to do with them.

It was raining during the time we scheduled the service. Miguel was very responsible and called ahead of time to suggest rescheduling the service. He was also very flexible and responsive to our needs and requests.

A nearby neighbor, the company is run as a typical affordable grass cutter. I believe they also do tree trimming

Very good! They were very easy to communicate with and very responsive to any requests we had. They always showed up exactly when they said they would and they did a very thorough job.

We asked Miguel Wong to come to our house and provide us an estimate on removing two trees in our yard. We also asked him for the cost of regular lawn service. He arrived promptly on April 24th and was very friendly. We really wanted to use him because his business is very close to our house and we felt good about supporting our neighbor. For the lawn service, gave us a verbal estimate of $280 for spring clean up and seeding and then $120 per month for most months and $150 the last two months for additional leaf clean up. After comparing companies, we decided to use someone else for the tree removal but told Miguel via a phone call around April 30th that we would like hire Century for the lawn service. I asked him for a contract and he said that he would provide it. By the week of May 5th, I had not heard from him so I called him again on Friday, May 9th . He said that his crew would come to our house the following Monday, May 12th. By this time the grass was knee high so I was very disappointed when they didn't show up. They never called to cancel and I have never heard from them again. We are using someone else for our lawn care.

see above. they saved my life! I have a very long drive. There were 5-7 feet of snow. and my husband was very ill. They came several times during the long snowfall.

Originally when I called back in April Miguel explained that they couldn't do Spring clean ups because of the weather, it was too late due to the long winter and too many plants were already coming in. I told him that I would just like the lawn mowed and weeding and turning the beds which he okayed. We also discussed a landscaping project that I wanted done at a future date. When he came his crew only mowed the lawn. He came to the door and explained that what I should do was let them remove all existing plants, deep till the soil to remove all weeds at the root, then replant everything. I took it into consideration and said "but not today right"? And he said when I was feeling better (had just had foot surgery) and could walk around the property and show him what I wanted where, we would schedule it. I didn't know he was going to skip the weeding altogether. When I called him back to explain the miscommunication and that I still wanted the weeding done he flew off the handle and was very rude with me. I reminded him of our original conversation about spring cleanup, which he denied, I reiterated what I had asked him to do and he all but hung up on me. He called back a few minutes later, calmer, and we scheduled a date for him to return. He never showed for weeding or cutting the lawn. I really don't know what happened as I had found him last year via Angie's list and he was very nice and efficient. This year it seemed like he was so over booked that he was going to have a nervous breakdown. I ultimately emailed him, told him I would send the $20 due for having cut the lawn and that I would find someone else for future services. Still, never heard back from him.

Everything went well. The crew showed on time, did a quality job with stump, and didn't cause any damage. What's more is that the service was actually cheaper than expected since they didn't require any machinery for the stump removal. Ultimately, it was a good experience, and I would recommend them.

i left a voicemail and got a return call pretty quickly. when we spoke he said he was pretty busy and said he would drive by the buildiing monday and get back to me. I never got a call back. I suppose they have enough business.

The manager, Miguel, gave me a quote on Monday, and arrived with his crew of 3 on Friday around noon, They had 2 trucks, each with a trailer towed behind. When I went outside to greet him, he reviewed the work that he quoted me on, then quickly got to work The work consisted of replacing old sod with new, which Miguel explained the entire process, An existing flower bed was expanded with a new metal edge to separate the bed from the lawn. He made some helpful suggestions as to how the remaining metal edge could be used and followed through. He also expanded the existing mulch line around the 4 shrubs. They cleaned up nicely when done. I was really impressed with the work, especially during this busy spring season. I will be using his service again.

Miguel and his team are great! Miguel is very knowledgeable, helpful and honest. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the work. His crew are efficient and careful. My place looks great and I have already scheduled for them to come back and do some landscaping next week. I will definitely use them going forward as my regular yard care/landscaping providers. I called Miguel along with several other providers to give me an estimate to lay sod in my smallish front yard. We had just had a large tree removed so a lot of prep work had to be done before sod could be laid. Miguel's estimate came in at least a third below all of the other providers. He was also the only one who actually showed up to discuss the job (rather than just driving by and then sending an estimate) so I was able to talk to him about landscaping ideas as well. He helped me develop a landscaping plan based on my modest budget and because he was so much cheaper than anyone else, I was able to hire him to do both jobs. The day the work was done, Miguel and his team showed up on time and worked hard until the job was finished. My yard looks beautiful and I have had too many compliments to count. Miguel is honest honest honest (!) takes pride in his work and is good to his employees and his customers. I have used his services several times since and he has consistently impressed. I will continue to use them in the future.

The gentleman from Century came out and thoroughly looked over my property and provided me with a very complete estimate to do my lawn maintenance and bed care. He was on time, knowledgeable and brought the estimate to me exactly when he said he would. All went well to that point. Unfortunately, Century's prices were much higher than several other comparable and highly rated lawn care companies that I found on Angie's List. So, I called the gentleman back to thank him for taking the time to come out and explain why we would not be using him. Unfortunately, at that time, the man became agitated and kept saying that we had called him last year and had the same complaint and that we should not call him again. I calmly explained that we did not call him last year. We weren't even looking to change lawn care companies last year and didn't call anyone. But he kept insisting that I had called him and he had been in my house and that we shouldn't call again. So, while clearly knowledgeable about lawn care, this company is more pricey than others. But, the manner in which this man confronted me when I had, to be honest, been nice enough to call him to thank him for giving me an estimate, was very unprofessional (as well as completely untrue). I'd wonder how he'd handle a complaint from a customer.

I did not move forward with the service as I believe it was too expensive and never got a chance to get another estimate for the same work.

Miguel Wong answered my call at 8:30 PM last night. There is an event Tomorrow Morning needing full use of a commercial parking lot which had many unusable spaces due to piled up snow from the repeated snow plow work this winter. Miguel said he could move the snow or haul it away and agreed to meet me this morning. He arrived early and we looked over the site. He quoted $500 to pile the snow in the few areas we had that wouldn't block parking spaces or $900 to haul the snow away. We agreed to piling the snow on site and he agreed to come back 2 hours later to do the job. He came back on time and completed the job in under 2 hours, making every single parking space in the lot totally clear and usable. He was professional and courteous, did a great job and solved this difficult problem which I needed completed in a hurry. I am so impressed with the way that handled this project that I am planning to use his other services at my house this spring. It is clear why Miguel has such high ratings on Angie's List.

Top layer of weeds and grass was removed. Area was regraded and new sod was layed. They were prompt and professional. The garden never looked so good as when they were finished.

They answered our call right away, were here within 20 minutes (granted they were in my neighborhood at the time) and plowed our alley after about 8 inches snowfall. They got the job done quickly and to our needs. We will definitely use them again! Great job !!

Century never replied back.

This was my first year with Century Lawn Care Co., but certainly not my last. After struggling to get our other provider to show up consistently, I reached out to Century Lawn Care through Angie's List. They came out at the agreed date/time and gave us a fantastic estimate for the services requested. They have shown up every week and done A+ work. The work done is efficient, effective, and consistent. I receive a monthly bill and they do the rest. I recommend Century Lawn Care with the highest marks possible.

It was good. This was like the second or third time I have used them. They are very good.

It went great. It took about 2 days. Miguel was very responsive to our desires and made recommendations consistent with what we wanted. He suggested the drains, since one of our problems with yard was flooding. We will see in the future how the flooding goes. But he and everyone who worked on the place did a great job for what I feel is a very good price. And everything was done exactly as promised and they cleaned up before they left! Wonderful.
