there were major issues with the quality of the work and he refused to fix it because he didn't have time claiming it was good enough . Sanding marks ver visible , no patching perfom on holes , pencil drawn on the floor where the stain poorly covered . Missed stain under the dishwasher . Track marks from rolling out the refrigerator. Beware . He rushes and doesn't care to fix it before getting paid . He will not come back !!!

Virgil is a terrible business owner to say the least. My husband and I hired him to put in unfinished wood flooring to match our existing hardwoods and also refinish and stain them. After questioning his bad reviews we still gave him the benefit of doubt. We moved our entire house into our garage for the time being. He delivered the material on a Saturday to start the project on that Monday. He came in to unload the material and I very nicely asked him if the wood should be acclimated to our home for at least 10 days if not more due to a friend of mine telling me this is a must. He began yelling at me and told me that I should have told him if I wanted it acclimated to our home before it was installed. Now he's supposed to be the professional with 17 years experience, and he should have told me this not the other way around. He was rude, unprofessional and yelling at me in front of my children stating he doesn't have time for this. I asked a simple question and he treated me so terribly. This man should not be in business. His nice, professional act at first is all an act. He's a scam, that just wants your $ and run after the project is completed. He then just started taking the material out of my home and leaving with it. At that point I didn't even fire him yet, he knew I was right and that's why he left. Glad I did not give him any $ and I'm so glad I questioned him before he started this huge project. What a let down. I learned my lesson, this man deserves more than a F rating. Beware!!!

He should know how to do his job. He just wanted my $ and to complete the project and leave. After him yelling at me if front of my children he started loading up all his material and told me he didn't have time for this. This man should not be a business owner. Beware of this guy, he does not know what he's doing. Very unprofessional which I was surprised because at first he seemed very nice and professional. Boy was I wrong and learned a huge lesson. Glad I gave him none of my $ and glad he left with all his material. Don't even consider this company!

The work was supposed to take 1 week. The work was completed on time, but the result were absolutely horrible. There were globs of stain, visible unfinished wood in places, large areas of discoloration along the walls where they scratched the wood and tried to quickly re-sand/refinish select areas, and the list goes on. Virgil came back to review the work and agreed that the work was not good. He apologized, said he was embarrassed, and promised to make it right. We wanted to give him the benefit of a doubt, so we agreed to let him refinish the whole house. The results from the second pass were not much better. Not only is the stain again uneven and streaky, but now the floor is cupping. Virgil will not respond to our phone calls, so we had to hire another company to fix his work.

The floor was down about six months when it started to warp.. I contacted the provider and he told me it was a moisture issue, he told me this without ever coming out and looking at the floor. I tried numerous times since then to contact him and he does not answer or return my calls. Last month mY contractor contacted him and he told my contractor he would call me but he never did. I find Virgil to be very unprofessional. He told me he warranties his work, I don't know what his warranty covers but not problems. I do not recommend this provider. I'm sorry I recommended him to so many of my friends and associates. I hope they have better luck....

He put on three coats of polyurethane. He rebuilt and continued flooring to match existing floors. He was very responsive. The work was done quickly. He was flexible in timing his work with other contractors in course of completing a whole house renovations.

I cannot recommend this contractor highly enough. He is polite, on time, proud of his work, honest, responsible. The list goes on and on. The work was done on time, and the quality could not be better. The floors were flawless. You can tell Virgil takes pride in his work and really cares about doing a fantastic job. Also, after I had already paid in full I received a refund check because they didn't need to replace as much sub floor as they had thought. I'm amazed by that kind of honesty. Then, to top it off, Virgil and his crew came by the day after the job was done just to help me move my heavy furniture back in place, that wasn't even in the scope of work we had contracted out. Virgil's floor sanding provides exceptional work. I wish I could give him a higher letter grade than "A", I was that impressed.
