Bill's Plumbing

I made an appointment and was told someone would come between 8 and 12 on April 26. I called them around 10:30 and they could not find a record of the appointment. I cancelled my regular morning class for this and stayed home for nothing. I gave them a C only because they did good work for us last year.

They came and snaked it out despite the challenges of my ancient plumbing (broken cleanout plug, etc). They seemed experienced and able to deal with older houses.

The workers were extremely professional, fast and did a great job!

They service my air conditioner and my heating system, you know, the regular maintenance for your A/C. They did two units in May and then they do the furnaces in the Winter.

Great! This problem had happened before many years ago. The last person who fixed it about 10 years ago had a terrible time with it, and it took a long time to accomplish the job. So I was afraid of what would happen. But the plumber from Bill's Plumbing fixed it quickly and perfectly. I also had him install a hand held shower.

I felt like I got taken advantage of. There was something leaking, and they just turned the water off. They did not do any work.

The gentleman who did the work was very polite and professional. I believe that he did quality work for us. However, since he ran a bit late (10 min.) and I needed to leave after he'd worked a half hour or so, he was finishing up and said he would just have the office call and I could pay over the phone later. I appreciated this. He quickly quoted me a price, 105. Yet, the office staff called and when I did not call back immediately to pay (I work during the week, all day, and did not receive the phone messages right away) called at least 4 more times over 2 days and left voice messages each time. I was a little surprised. I had every intention of making the payment, and once I received the messages I called back, but it was after hours, so I explained to the answering service I would call back the next day to make payment. The next morning at 8 a.m. I got a call that I missed, since I am busy getting children and self out the door at that time. The person acknowledged that I had tried to call back, but was still a bit aggressive with the voice message. I called back to make payment right then. Also, we were charged 135 instead of 105 for the 25 minutes of work performed. It was likely a misunderstanding by the person who first quoted me the price. Overall, the service was good, but the tactics used afterward to collect payment were, I felt, a little over the top.

Sump pump kept running so phoned Bill's--had used this company before but can't recall for what services. It was a Saturday noontime--got answering service who could not get hold of any of the plumbers while I stayed on the line, so she promised a callback within the hour. When no callback within that timeframe, I called again and got answering service again (different individual) who immediately transferred me to a plumber who said he'd be out within the hour. Response was fairly prompt--only took about 75 minutes. Service call itself took only 1/2 hour to diagnose problem and replace switch. I did not rate quality of service because I need to see whether the switch lasts. Price for labor was 2x price of the switch, but I imagine this is typical.

It went very well. I would recommend him to others.

Originally came out for leak in kitchen drain. Promptly repaired drain replaced actual drain (it was rotted out) in bottom of sink . Unfortunately when returnng things to cabinet under sink the next day I noticed another leak in a different area (he would not have noticed unless he was looking for it). So he came out again and took care of leaking cartridge in my faucet (He had to order a part which took over a week to come in) and as long as he was here I had him look at a shower that was dripping. He replaced the hose in the shower. Very clean and professional. Price of 330.00 was for 2nd trip out.

Had to check on my mom's house after it had been winterized, which meant turning her main water valve back on and refilling her hot water heater. I tried several times to re-light the pilot light, but couldn't get it lit, so decided to let a professional take care of it since I'm a scaredy-cat when it comes to natural gas. It was a Saturday afternoon, and it was considered an emergency visit but I was grateful that they could send someone out on short notice. I spoke with Tim on the phone and after he asked me a few questions about the hot water heater, we discussed a general estimate for services. I felt the hourly rate charge was reasonable since it was considered an emergency visit and he was at my mom's house within the hour. I asked Tim about how the ignitor and pilot light assembly all worked and Tim was great in explaining it and showing me. He gave me pointers on how to care for the water heater, like keeping dust & debris away from the bottom intake so it does not obstruct the airflow. Tim was very pleasant and easy going, and knowledgeable. He also gave me a discount which I was not expecting, but very happy! I would definitely recommend Bill's Plumbing & Sewer to my neighbors.

The cost was very reasonable. They are just very prompt. I called them and they were able to come the next day. They were on time and got it done quickly. They explained everything to me. They were great. The work they did turned out just fine. I thought they did a great job.

My overall experience with them was good. They made a mistake but they stood behind their work and corrected it. Their customer service was very good. Their price was competitive with the area.

Bill's did emergency repair of my gas furnace in 2013 promptly, professionally to my complete satisfaction; they provided excellent annual servicing of my gas to my complete satisfaction for the past two years; and they provided excellent plumbing services for my powder room after several consultations.

Overall, it was good. They were true to their word. They got here when they were supposed to get here. They did the job. The clean-up was good. The price was around what we expected. It wasn't less then anybody else but it wasn't outrageous. They were right in the ballpark with everybody else's. We're actually going to use them to do the annual check on the system.

Ken came right on time. He immediately assessed the problem and fixed it. He was here for about a half hour. We have had Ken here before and he has always been prompt and effective. They replaced my drain pipes a couple of years ago and it has been fine ever since. Would highly recommend him. We have given out his number many times and everyone has been highly satisfied.

It was done in about an hour. Got minimum charge and service fee. Serviceman gave me good recommendations for future.

Called for a second opinion and estimate. They came promptly (same day). They tried to unblock the drain and when they couldn't they confirmed what the other plumber suggested. They ultimately couldn't beat the other guys price for this particular job. I appreciated their honesty and professionalism and will definitely call them for any future problems.

The sump pump was making noise early in the morning so I called them soon after opening time. The phone was answered by an answering service but I got a call back within 10 mins. I had to work part of the day but they set up an appointment when I could be there and arrived near the beginning of he designated time frame. The work was done quickly, and I think well. I don't know what the usual cost would be but this didn't seem excessive at all, and the man who came out explained what had happened and why very clearly. Seemed responsive and professional.

They showed up as scheduled, were considerate of cleaning up after themselves, got the work done promptly. They explained what they were doing. I was very satisfied.

Their work was as neat and clean as could be. They installed them with the least amount of damage to basement and lawn. So far I have no complaints. Due to the high volume of work, we did have to wait our turn for installation -but his projection date was pretty much what he told us. He installed the best pump with the best warranty.

They had a very good price. They did the work on time. I told them that I'm going overseas and they finished the work before that. They were very competitive in their price. They explained us everything and what kind of system they were going to put. They gave us the proper warranty for that. I'm very happy so far. They were very good and very prompt. So far, what I see is good. They gave me the good part that I wanted so I'm very happy with them so far. It's a fair price. It was a reasonable price. They were a little bit higher than the lowest price but the product they were using was better so we went with them. Punctuality is very good.

Bill was very professional. He was in and out quickly. He actually called to come earlier; which was great for us.
