Tim was very helpful from the beginning till the end. I needed to get three estimates in order to apply for the reimbursement from our village. Our village is helping the half of the cost up to $7,500. The cost was $7,960 for the overhead system, and $6,740 for the lining 76ft sawer pipe. It was a very expensive project but they are the cheapest by a lot among three plumbing companies, and within village's maximum support. Tim was the most helpful among the estimators. He sent me an estimate very fast and he helped me to fill up the forms for the village application. He and his crews have been installing overhead sewer systems all the time in my area and so his crews had great experiences. Tim is not only the estimator, but he was on the site and worked with his crews. He and one crew was outside and dig the front yard and rearranged the sawer pipe and storm pipe. Three crews were working in the bathroom and the crawl space. They rearranged the sawer pipes and installed an ejection pit and pump in the crawl space. I had a cable wire hanging around in the craw space, and the electrician crew fixed it for me, and it went behind the wall nicely. He was very kind to fixed the mess by Comcast. One of the estimate by other company said they would charge me $800 for electrical work. Bill's plumbing has an electrician as a crew, and so they didn't charge extra for it. Everything was very efficient and carefully done. My plants in the front yard were saved, and they even replanted for me. The operator who moved the bobcat was incredibly careful, and he moved that giant craw so gently and carefuly. I think he digged the minimum space they needed, and our grass was protected and so no damage was found afterward. The most impressive part was the time. They did our neighbor first on Monday, came to my house on Tuesday afternoon, and they finished ours on Wednesday morning. Bill's plumbing spent about 10 hours in total in my house. They brought the biggest group of crews and equipments, and get things done very efficiently. Surprisingly, they all native English speakers and very polite. 5 houses on our street installed the overhead sawer system in July, Two houses used BMW plumbing and they spent 4 days for each house. Tim has an excellent team of crews, and a lot of people are asking them to install an overhead system. I was the 10th house in line when I accepted his estimate. I wonder how many he is going to install in total this summer. I also install the lining the sawer pipe which was a requirement for village's reimbursement program. Tim uses the Trenchless Lining Company as a partner to do the lining, and they did great job too. The lining company does it everyday, and so they had a great skill to do the job. The lining company's representative came to check the site in advance, and he was on the site during the work and checked the completion. I am very happy with the outcome. My neighbor who saw them working on our house will hire Bill's Plumbing for their overhead late August. She is happy to know that she doesn't need to miss work very much. We may see them again on our street.

We have had this plumber before. We have always had good work and friendly workers. The price has always been reasonable and they have always come out on time.

Our main water gate valve broke and was stuck in the off position, which meant no water to the whole house. Bill's Plumbing came out early on Monday and they were able to get the gate to open enough to get water. But of course now it wouldn't close. He needed to shut off the water at the street to replace the valve. We are under a few inches of snow and ice so finding the valve in the yard was impossible. He suggested we wait till the spring thaw to replace the valve. The thought of not having a water shutoff made me very nervous so I called the City and had them locate the B-box. Then I called Bill's Plumbing back and had them come back the next day. The valve replacement went very smoothly. They did not waste any time and finished everything in under an hour. Their rates are high but they did a quality job and did it quickly.

They are very good and they come right away. The job went fine. They are prompt and reliable. They are not the cheapest, but they are appropriate, reasonable.

They do a good job, are reasonably priced, and are prompt. I've recommended them to other people.

We contacted Bill's Plumbing from a friend's recommendation. They installed 3 faucets in our bathrooms and did a great job that cost us less than several other plumbers we had contacted. They were also efficient, arrived on time, polite, neat, and returned our calls. We were very pleased with their work and would definitely use them again.

We telephoned Bill's Plumbing at approximately 7:00 PM on a Monday evening. Tim Smith arrived at our house at approximately 7:15 PM. (This stuff never happens during normal daytime hours.) Tim quickly reviewed the situation and quoted me the "off the normal business hours" price. We were more than glad to pay the price as he was good enough to come so quickly and we had to stop the water from ruining the carpeting. Tim set up his rodding equipment and cleaned out the sewer line. The total job took almost two (2) hours. The water now drains properly. Tim was completely professional and personable. He explained in detail everything that needed to be done. Tim will definitely be our plumber from here on. We highly recommend Bill's Plumbing.

Bill's Plumbing was referred to me by my carpenter. I chose not to use him. I didn't feel that he was very professional in the way that he approached giving me the bid; nothing was in writing and it was too casual.

Water was dripping in our den on Monday morning. I called Bill's Plumbing as we had used them for several years. Tim was able to get over to our house within two hours. He found the leak and left in less than an hour. Problem solved. Great service.

Well except it stopped working again after about a month, so I removed it as they had, but then unscrewed it to remove more flux.

The estimate went well, the plumber was courteous and went through what was to be done, and I scheduled the appointment for them to come out. They arrived on-time and completed the installation within an hour. They cleaned up after themselves and was courteous in their service. I had questions about how the dryer line was being installed and they answered my questions and I felt I received great service. I was glad I saw their van out that day and gave them a call. If I have any other plumbing needs I will call Bill's

The service person came out on a weekend, but didn't seem to have the correct type of "rod" to go through the curve in the toilet drain. He thought it was fine. Within a few days, I noticed the same problem with the bowl not draining correctly. I called and they took care of it a day later, with no additional charge. I have had no problems since. I would have hoped that the first plumber would have realized that a followup visit might be necessary, and scheduled that. But when it was clear that they needed to return, they did that promptly and resolved the issue.

I call him in for a lot of stuff; he takes care of my toilets if something goes wrong and he repairs my sump pump when it goes out. He is the only plumber I have had for many years. He is very prompt, he is personable, he is very clean, and he always tells you what the price will be up front. There is never any guesswork and he is a nice, honest guy. My heating contractor also does plumbing, but I won’t use anyone but Bill.

When we called Bill's about the outside clean-out pipe backing up, they promptly sent someone to look at it and even though there was snow and ice on the ground, they found the problem and rodded our sewer line. They were also great at communicating with us throughout the process.

Went fine. Took two service calls to have the correct service performed, though.

Considering this was in a crawl space, it was a great price. Competitors game me different prices for work performed inside and outside the house, whereas Tim gave me an estimate over the phone to do the job. The final price was exactly that! Came on time and performed the work properly. Answered all my obscure questions with patience and knowledge. Not the first company Angie's list will return, but a very good one.

they called before arriving to let me know that they would be at our house in 30 minutes. when they arrived, they were surprised to find that we already had the sewer rodded earlier in the day. we told them what the previous plumbers told us after rodding and camera-ing the main sewer line. and get this: bill's plumbing told us that the other quote to do a ton of work for $2400 was unnecessary. then they patched up the hole for free and said to continue to rod on an as needed basis! wow. what a relief...and what honest people. i will definitely be calling them when we have another issue!!

Overall, I have been satisfied. Prompt and nice. As long as the house doesn't flood, they did a good job.

One word. Awesome. I've had unbelievable headaches with a house in Skokie we're moving into - the last one being the plumbing. It seemed everywhere I turned there was a permitting problem - the last one being that the permits were approved pending a licensed plumber being added to the application - to bring the pluming in the kitchen and wet bar up to code. There was lots of work to be done and our move date was fast approaching - and I couldn't get the workers in until the permit was approved. Add to that - the basement was pulled out down to the studs due to water damage and the house *kept* flooding in the living area. Can't rebuild the basement if it's going to continue to flood. I had to act fast. I called Bill's at 4pm on a Monday and Tim came out to the house at 6:30pm to look everything over and make suggestions for all of our issues. I was comfortable with Tim and confident he'd take care of what we needed done - and again, was in a hurry to just get someone's name on the permit so the rest of the work could get on track -- and fast. Problem, the plumbing work had to be completed in the kitchen before anything else. Problem solved: Tim said they could do the kitchen work the next day. Incredible. Bill and James showed up in the morning. I expected them to merely work on the kitchen - which was the urgent issue. Instead - they did it all (minus the sink installation - which won't happen until the kitchen is finished)! Additionally, Tim scheduled the plumbing inspection for Friday and completely took that disaster out of my hands. So, with a call to Bill's Plumbing on a Monday late afternoon I had an in-home visit, complete estimate and completed job with an approved inspection as of that Friday morning. Unreal. I'd certainly call these guys again! Oh and with the recent AWFUL storm, after the lift station work was complete - NO FLOODING. These guys rock.

He was very professional and came the same day I called him. But his estimate was expensive I thought.

Other plumbers told us our main drain pipe was permanently blocked and either (a) "crushed under the house's collapsing foundation" (which is, incidentally, not collapsing at all) or (b) severely blocked and in need of a major digging/replacement operation. Tim came the day after I called him to give me a free estimate; he put a camera down the pipe (for free) and put it through much further (20 feet farther) than the previous plumber, who said that the pipe was blocked so severely it would be impossible to clean out (and charged me $250 for running the camera through). I don't know if Tim had better equipment or if the other guy was lying, but while the other guy said rodding would be pointless, and he had to dig up the pipes, Tim assured us he could clean the pipe out all the way to the sewer. He ran the camera through after cleaning it out so that I could see the problem spots and see that it had been cleared all the way to the city sewer system. It turns out that the possible major problem spots are on city property, so digging up our whole front yard would have been very expensive and not solved the problem. I am SO relieved to have been referred to Bill's Plumbing before I went ahead with the digging project! Tim is GREAT and I'll definitely call him again.

They were fast, professional and knowledgeable. When I reported a new leak appearing, they were out the next day to fix the problem.

They did an excellent job. What really impressed me was that they did this work when the temperature was about five degrees above zero. They are very customer minded. They wanted to make sure everything was ok.

It went great. I have used their services for years. They are prompt, professional, and fair on pricing. In the above example, what I really liked was that they postponed doing the big job until they could no longer avoid doing so. Up until the pipe had to be replaced, they rodded out the pipe from the roof.

I have always been able to get prompt service, less than a week from initial call to installation on this episode. The staff have always been polite, pleasant, and competent. On occasion, the plumber has shown me how to make simple repairs myself.
