He came out and provided his expertise in terms of developing a recommendation for our building to help alleviate basement common area flooding during heavy rains, then he worked with us to come up with a solution that was more economical and more inexpensive (which was key for our condo board, as we're very thrifty." His solution required some custom fabrication of a valve that allows us to selectively redirect rain runoff to the sewer or the alley, and I felt he had unique capabilities that made him the right person to do the job. Also appreciated in that he was both patient and persistent, which is required when you're working with a condo board to get something done.

The experience was excellent. Andy was incredibly prompt; I called him on a Friday and he was there on a Monday. I didn’t need to be home while the work was being done. It was an easy process and we had no problems.

Andy's does a very careful, thorough job. They are mindful of the many plantings surrounding the house, I know nothing will be damaged. Cleanup is complete, no traces of their visit. The house is quite tall, some gutters are over 40 feet up.

Everything went great. They went above and beyond what was required.

Andy responded promptly to request for estimate. Work done within completion date estimate. Andy and 1 other employee arrived on time in AM and worked until 6PM to complete job. They were thorough, informative and professional. Clean up was also thorough.

They showed up when they said they would and seem to have done a fine job. The only glitch was that when I called the office to schedule an appointment I was told to buy garbage bags so that the crew has something to put the collected dirt into. The bags turned out to be unnecessary because the crew brought their own. However, we'll find use for them so no big deal.

Easy process...just called him, he stopped by while I was at work for the estimate, emailed me the estimate, I signed it, he came by and performed the work, left an invoice in my mailbox, I mailed him a check.

I can't speak too highly of Andy and his men (he came out with two other workers). To begin with, on his estimate visit, he correctly diagnosed a relatively limited problem when I had let him know I expected (and would have paid for) a larger one. The work was scheduled for two weeks later (and actually was done sooner). The men were all polite and efficient, and cleaned up nicely. The workman who was replacing the drainspout pointed out to me that it was not connecting properly to the storm sewer, and extended the pipe deeper in order to route the water properly.

He did a good job. I would use them again.

It was a very simple process overall. I called and set up an appointment. I liked that he could come when I was gone and he just left an invoice on my door.

Went well, was on time, friendly and professional, and did exactly what he said he was going to do!

I called on a Thursday or Friday to have my gutters cleaned. I used them in 2009 and had a good experience. I was told Andy would come around Monday or Tuesday but he didn't. I called a week later to ask about the status and was told Andy would give me a call. Two weeks later I still have not heard from him. If they can't fit me in I wish they would just tell me that.

It took a little longer than usual for Andy to get here because the Chicago area had a particularly rainy and stormy Spring. He's usually out in a day or two after you call him. I called back a 2nd time (because he's worth it) just to make sure he got my first message. My gutters were so full of leaves and other debris, water was spilling over and getting into the house. He came within the next two days, cleaned the gutters and roof, and pointed out a gutter spout that had been incorrectly installed. He also pointed out a gap between the house and gutter that needed repair. He's coming back to make these repairs when the part comes in, so I can't evaluate that work yet, but I'm fairly sure we'll be satisfied with his work.

Very resopnsive. Highly recommend.

He was very professional and very responsive. He did some other things that weren't in the agreement without any extra charge. His work was very good. It looks really nice. He uses high quality materials. He cleaned up after himself.

I found Andy's through Angie's List. I thought they were outstanding. They did a beautiful job with the gutters. They were very efficient. They were outstanding and I would recommend them to others.

This is the second time I have used Andy's Custom Gutters. As before, they call you back and come out within a day. They worked very hard to unclog this downspout, as it had a bunch of muck in it. They are efficient and clean up any mess they make. You can't go wrong with Andy.

They came out right away and the gutters are flowing great now. Only complaint is they put the leaves in a pile in my flower bed. Wish they would have at least bagged them.

There was a fair amount of telephone tag with Andy, and when I asked for the job to be priced out both ways, I kind of got the feeling that wasn't how he wanted to go. I also asked for the estimate to be faxed or emailed, but it arrived in the mail estimated as one lump sum. Now, I have to say that it was beautifully presented, well written and had some Q&A print out attached. We combined prices from each estimate to arrive at one sum and to compare. Unfortunately, Andy's was more than 35% higher than the company we signed with, that company not being the least expensive. Even though the remaining estimates were close, we chose the other Angie's List provider, for comfort sake, and will provide a report when the project is completed. According to Andy's reviews, I am sure he does a fine job but the estimate was off putting.

After first contacting them the person on the phone said he will come by and take a look and call you with a quote. He called back in a very timely manner with the quote and we agreed on the price and he said he has some jobs in the area and he will stop by to do it when he is in the area. We called back to let them know the downspout is two different colors. This did not through him off, a crew of 3 arrived the next day and installed it quickly and professionally. Great job!

The business is owned and managed by Andy, who also does the work (with help as needed). Andy is dependable, responsible, prompt and professional in every way. He always makes sure the job is done to our satisfaction and if anything is missed (usually by way of communication), he comes back and takes care of that too. He takes great pride in his work and, in a nutshell, is the best.

They are excellent. They really know their business and they are really good at cleaning up. They do everything with dispatch, they are very quick and thorough.

This was the 2nd year I used this provider because I was so happy with the first experience. This time, however, they left piles of leaves that were cleaned out of the gutters. Called provider and was told they assume the customer will have their landscapers pickup up piles. Huh? I was also told when I call next year I should let them know to remove the mess from the gutters. Strange response, though, as I see many other customers have stated this provider did in fact clean up with no mess left for the customer to clean. My landscapers ended their service on October 31 so I had to hire someone to clean their mess. Very disappointing and more costly experience.

The quality of the work is very good. I needed to reroute my gutters and downspouts to fit into my flood control system. The existing downspouts were too small to handle the rain run off. They were efficient and professional in their work and their price was fair. My only negative would be the amount of time it took to connect with them and get the job scheduled. Based on other Angie reports I was expecting a quicker return of my calls and quicker installation. I needed to schedule and coordinate a bunch of tradespeople and the gutters was the key trade. I may have caught them at a busy time.

The work was excellent. They came in the morning and were done by the afternoon. They brought enough guys to complete the job quickly and they left no mess for me to clean up afterwords. YAY! The price was exactly what was quoted no surprises. The only problems I encountered was getting call backs during my initial contact with the company. Hate talking to voice mail. But I did know that they were a small company so I persevered. Also the owner is a little crumudgeony and not very happy that my gutters were not cleaned. But in the end they did a great job and I was very happy with the results.
