Two days after closing on our first home, we discovered that some duct work in our basement was lined with asbestos paper. I called John at Great Environmental and he instantly put my mind at ease and within 24 hours, John was at my front door to assess the situation. Knowing my intent to get everything removed as quickly as possible, John arranged for his crew to come out on the weekend to remove the asbestos which was amazing! John is what makes Great Environmental GREAT! His customer service is outstanding. He and his team did a fantastic job and I felt 100% confident that I could finally start our life in our new home asbestos-free!

John was absolutely wonderful. I had some concerns which turned out to be nothing. John responded to call/email very promptly, came out (free of charge) to assess and provided helpful tips. Whereas other places, intially contact me to spend $500+ on tests right off the bat or never called back.

If you have mold, Great Environmental is the BEST. Great to work with, friendly, & willing to work around your schedule. They give you the knowledge you need, to stop re-occurrences. I would highly recommend them.

He was very friendly and explained what we were facing in simple terms, which was a bit of an un-known - asbestos removal. John was very professional and my initial appoinment was prompt. He was very thorough in detailing what work would be done and I felt his prices were competitive. When he submitted his proposal he suggested that I might consider getting the tile tested before I commit to any work. We followed his advise and found out the tile was asbestos free or negative. His honestly saved me a lot of money which I was able to apply towards my basement project. I wish everyone was as honest and knowledgeable as John. Highly recommended!!

Very personable, very professional, quick service.

John Gezik (of Great Environmental) is very personable and great to work with. He communicates well and and is responsive to questions and phone calls about the work. We worked into an agreeable timetable for the task of removing siding from our house on the second floor. His workers arrived on time on the scheduled start date and work was completed ahead of schedule. The work was done well and the clean-up of the yard/garden and other areas around the house was superb. Great Environmental used creative thinking in how to get the work done on our house that enabled them to come in with the lowest bid of the 4 companies we took bids from. They earned their VERY GOOD rating.

After our basement flooded, we pulled out the carpet and found some old asbestos-containing floor tile underneath. I chose Great Environmental to remove these old tiles, because they provided the most clear explanation of the work needed to be done and associated cost. They came up to Wilmette from Joliet just a few days after my request and did a fantastic job. I would definitely use these guys again.
