I hired Capps and Daughters Decorating to paint my front room, dining room, kitchen and hallway. Painting also included the doors, crown molding, baseboards and window sills. Master bathroom ceiling was also repainted due to a prior water stain. Also, the wall board was replaced and repaired around the fireplace surround. All the walls were primed prior to paining, nail holes were filled on newly installed crown molding, furniture and floors covered. The repair on the damaged wallboard was perfect. I was very impressed with Bob Capps’ high work ethics. He is meticulous. His attention to detail and quality workmanship is top notch. He is extremely neat in painting and cleaning up but most of all he has a deep respect for his client’s home and belongings. I appreciated Bob’s conscientious, professionalism and punctuality. His daughter works along side of him making them a great team. I believe for all the work that was done the cost was very reasonable. Over the years, I have worked with many vendors for various home improvements projects and Capps and Daughters Decorating is one of the best. I must say I am very happy and satisfied with the results; the finished product goes above and beyond my expectations. I would certainly recommend Capps and Daughters Decorating to friends and family and look forward to working with them in the near future.

He did exactly as promised. He is very meticulous does a great job, works with his daughter. they both are personable, responsible and professional in every way. Capp and Daughters are excellent and I recommend them for not just painting but other projects that require a skilled craftsperson. I should note that he mixes the paint, strains it through cheesecloth and is a master craftsmen. Note the pricing is for a couple of houses
Description of Work: Painted my entire new house in April 2012 and also I hired him to paint my daughter's new home in late 2012 as well. He also picked up, assembled and installed large storage cabinets in my garage and installed shelves. He did various other things moving shelving in closets, etc.

I wanted a complete repainting of a newly bought 2000 sq foot vintage 1920s condo which had not been repainted or plastered in at least twenty years. Bob's estimate was in the middle of the three I had sought and I was impressed with the work he had done for my neighbor, so I went with him. I was not disappointed. Bob did an extremely good job, which has lasted very well. The place has 10 foot ceilings and loads of trim. It was a large and challenging job, complete with crumbling plaster and layers of ancient wallpaper. He showed up on time, worked very efficiently, and let me know of any problems that cropped up promptly. (This kind of job - very old building - always includes unanticipated issues.) He planned the job extremely well and came in on time and on budget. Several years later, the place still looks wonderful. During the course of the job, I fell on the ice and had to park on the sofa for a week. Bob took that in stride and was very helpful, even offering to bring groceries so I didn't have to go up and down three flights of stairs on crutches... As it turned out, I had other helpers but it was nice that he offered! Because he worked alone, the job took a bit longer than a team might, but the result was outstanding. His daughters give a hand from time to time, but he is the mainstay of the business. I was quite comfortable having him in the house, whether I was gone at work, or confined to the couch. I'd definitely recommend him, especially for vintage work. He is very experienced in this area, doesn't push products or unneeded services, and does a really topnotch job. Also very reliable and trustworthy.
Description of Work: Preparing surfaces - including repair of crumbling plaster and wallpaper removal - painting (priming and finish coats) of walls, ceiling, and huge amounts of vintage crown molding, built-in bookcases, 24 window frames and windows.

Bob arrived promptly, prepared carefully, explained exactly what to expect (especially in places where there were layers of wallpaper to remove and ancient plaster walls underneath). He is neat, well organized, pleasant and extremely reliable. I had no qualms leaving him in the house when I was off at work. His work is very high quality - he really knows what will work on what surface and takes the time to make sure that undercoats are applied properly, molding is carefully painted. Cleanup is meticulous. He left no paint in places where it shouldn't be. Also nice that he works with his daughters when they are available to help. Great family! His estimate was not the highest and not the lowest, but I am confident I got a paint job that will last for years and really looks wonderful.
Description of Work: Bob painted my entiire 1800 sq. foot vintage condo; plaster walls, ten foot ceilings, original moldings, old windows, etc. The job took about three weeks and still looks fantastic.

End of June called and left a message. My call was promptly returned and an appointment scheduled to come out for an estimate. Bob came out and we showed him what we needed painted (and patched). He then mailed us a written estimate. Upon review, we called to schedule the job to be done for mid-August. Bob agreed to use paint that we had bought but had never opened, as well as provided additional paint for the rooms that we had not previously purchased paint for. The estimate of time for the total project was approximately 1 week. I cannot express how happy I am with the paint job Capps and Daughters did. They were very efficient, clean, prompt, and most of all, did a great job! As it turned out, I did not like the color I had selected for the living room/dining room. My husband and I selected the color, not Capps and Daughters. It had been painted on Thursday and they were to finish up on Friday. We asked Bob if he could come back soon to repaint the rooms another more suitable color. He was already booked for another job for the following week, so he said he would have to check his schedule and let us know. He called us the next day (Saturday) and said he could come back Sunday to repaint the rooms for us. This was above and beyond. It was a beautiful summer day and Bob spent it at our house repainting our living room and dining room. The new color was a vast improvement. I would hire Capps and Daughters again in a heartbeat and we will when we move into our new house.
Description of Work: Painted the foyer, kitchen, living room, dining room, stairway and loft.

Very well. Bob Capps is very professional and does outstanding work. He uses quality paint and keeps the area very neat.
Description of Work: Capps Decorating was contacted and painted the ceiling and walls in our Great Rooms, Loft and dinette area. The Great Room wall and ceiling required painting because of new drywall being installed and repairs to that area. The wall was out of plumb and required rebuilding. The dinette area required painting because of nail pops and defective drywall installation by the builder.
