Wilke Window & Door Inc

We ordered over $20,000 in windows, doors, and interior trim from wilke. Things went well until the person that we ordered everything from abruptly was no longer there. We were assigned another salesperson who seemed disinterested in seeing the project through. All three of the sliding doors wilke sent out had issues. I first informed wilke of the issues 08/07/17. They came out a few months later and fixed two of the three doors. I called them and told them that they forgot to fix the sliding door in our master bedroom and that the door in our living room had broken again. They sent someone out a second time (a few months later) but it was with the wrong parts. It is now 02/23/18 and they still have not fixed the two doors that have been broken for over 6 months. They blame the delay on not being able to get the parts but in reality, they did not even order the correct parts until we escalated the issue to upper management. We are now waiting for the parts to come in and wilke to hopefully fix the sliding doors. But they are estimating that to be in March. I went with wilke because of their claim of customer service. I will never go back again and I hope anyone reading this does their homework.

Wilke was hired to put in all of the windows and doors in our new construction home. Although, initially all looked well...we had to install all of the screens that were left in the basement. Upon installing, one window was found to not have a screen provided. Wilke did provide the screen after several calls. Our sliding glass door; however, had a screen door that was provided that is too large to fit into the frame. I even called to make sure I wasn't missing something, but it should have been as easy as any other screen door.. insert the top into the slot and then slide the bottom in. The frame of the screen is ~1/2" too tall to fit into the frame of the door even through the right procedure. Wilke initially answered my call, but since will not return any calls to get this fixed. I now have gone a year without a screen door on our sliding glass door.

One man did the work in one day. He was amazing and not a piece of dust and he cleaned up. It was A+ service and he was 20 minutes early. My wife had an idea what she wanted and they gave us options. They brought her office pictures of different coloring and we are a 1000% satisfied with them. It is lifetime warranty on the windows and the look they gave us is wonderful. The comfort in the room is amazing. They did a really great job and we will stick them because of the service they give and the quality of their work and the comfort of their work. When we went within the rep who came out we looked through the brochure and choose the hire quality.

marble was defective and after several phone conversations, wilke contacted marble maker and we did get a nominal credit. Felt subcontractor should have checked marble for defects and wilke should stand behind vendors they use in satisfying the customer. It all worked out but as a customer, I had to be insistent and felt I should not have had to insist on them correcting situation.

The whole process went well. I got bids from 3 other door companies. Wilke not only had the best price, but we were also super impressed with the installer. I would definitely recommend. The only disappointing point is they will not paint exterior doors black which all of the other companies I received bids from would do. So, I had to hire a painter to paint the installed door for me.

They charge just to come out for an estimate. That comes off your final bill but you don't even know your estimate without paying them. So if you don't go with them you are out the money. I think that's a bad way to do business.

All went well though it took a while for all to be done. I went to the Wilke showroom, had the salesman come out to measure, completed the contract and had installation in the period of late Aug to Mid Oct. They tell you up front though that it takes that long. Installers knew there stuff. The doors fit perfectly and are very professionally done. I will likely have them back for windows next year.

Installation was great. It took a day longer than anticipated, but everything was caulked inside and out. Everything was cleaned up every day when they left. My installers were great to work with, and they were very tolerant of my dogs, even allowing time for their potty breaks. The windows look great & I couldn't be happier.

We felt the communication was weak. Each time I called the store in Fenton, they had difficulty finding our order. However, it all worked out well, so I guess it wasn't really a problem.

Fantastic!! Steve Morgan showed up on time and finished in 1 day. Cleaned up thoroughly-couldn't even tell his crew was there. Thoroughly pleased and would recommend again. As a matter of fact, looking at them to quote a replacement front door.

I wish we had not used them. They were expensive. I was under the impression that these would be factory made windows and they were not. The components were purchased and then their people, I guess, put them together or someone put them together, which means that the seams of the windows and what have you were rough. The installation was poor. They had to come back and fix the leak that that was in there. The windows were expensive and they should not have been because when they come from the factory they are just better put together. The finished work is much much better, the seams on the windows and what have you, and these were not. When a company does this, they pay probably two-thirds or even half of what factory windows would cost and these windows were very expensive. I would never ever recommend them.

I asked for quote on replacing patio French doors in my kitchen. They were $2000 higher than Pella. I felt Pella had a superior product especially the latching mechanism. They were timely, professional and courteous.

Professional and quick response. Rep showed me sample of windows and gave me information regarding low E, argon gas, and other energy saving characteristics. I had many questions after reading brochures, searching online for window companies, and other research for type of window and characterics I was looking for. All questions answered via phone quickly. Installation took 2 days and went well. Only a few small minor scratches noted on paint near 2 windows noted. They actually had to make the openings a little wider due to size of new windows. (Lots of labor work done.) Cleaned up well (as well as possible) around areas that he had worked in. Had drafts noted with my old widows. New windows have taken care of drafts and happy with overall experience.

We signed the contract on July 11, 2012. Wilke ordered the windows and a small amount of wood for the framing. It was impressive the way they measured the opening so carefully. They even brought the wood trim pieces to our house before the installation date so that I could stain it to match the rest of our trim. Wilke installed the windows on August 28, 2012 in under 3 hours. They removed the wooden railings (and took the wood to our basement because we wanted to save it), installed the wood framing and the 3 glass panels. They did everything from the 2nd floor bedroom side and only needed the tall ladder at the very end to help support the windows as they were installed, fitted and sealed. We are sooooo happy because we puzzled for years about how to close off the opening for sound but still have the light coming through. Wilke was able to help us figure out the best solution. Before beginning work they covered the area in the bedroom that was near the opening and cleaned up completely at the end. Wilke was polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and did a super job for us. We would use them again!

Before work was scheduled, receptionsists were slow to provide answers and didn't seem to be interested in helping. Left two messages but no calls were returned for two weeks. Installers showed up on time and did excellent work. Did a good job of picking up after the work was done. With a little patiences, wouldn't have any problems working with company again.

The salesman that came to our home was very professional and very knowledgeable about the windows and doors we asked about. The installers did a great job removing old windows and doors and installing the new windows and doors. They were very punctual and professional. They cleaned up everything and did a tremendous job.

Very professional, installer did a great job. Took longer than expected for door to be painted and threshold built but was very happy with the end resulted. Turned out better than I had hoped for

We hired a contractor to do some remodeling on our house. We ask for and recieved lein wavers on everything he purchased. He did not perform quality work and we terminated his contract with us. We later found out he had not paid for the windows he installed. wilke put a lein on our house. When we talked to wilke they said they had been paid by the contractor [ a former wilke employee] but they had applied the payment to another bill he owed them.So we ended up paying twice for the windows. WOULD NOT DO BUSSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN.

I live in a third floor condominium and I needed two new windows and a patio door. I talked to five different companies and Wilke was the lowest of the five. They took two weeks longer to install than the original estimate, but the men who installed the windows were very professional and I could tell that they had been doing this a long time and knew exactly what they were doing. The windows and door seem to be excellent quality and the installation was first rate as far as I can tell. I was very happy with the whole process and would highly recommend them.

They were very accommodating to our size needs and our request for urgency. We were impressed with doors when order was completed - just as we requested.

I would not recommend Wilke.

Overall, I would not use Wilke again. They were tough to deal with and not responsive. The window and doors took weeks longer than estimated and the only way we found this out was to track them down. No one from the company let us know this and it was difficult to actually get a response. Then one of the windows was mis-measured by their sales guy. We made it work, but barely. Also, when they were delivered, the delivery man expected US to help him. He sent only one person and failed to let us know this ahead of time. I had my mom, who is 72 at the house to meet the delivery. Needless to say, they had to call another person, but the delivery man was upset with this and let her know. Poor experience.
