This was the third time I used global home improvement. Stanley did such a wonderful job on my townhouse I was able to sell in in two weeks! So when I bought my new home I knew he and his crew would be my first call. They did a wonderful job on my new house, cleaned up after their work . My hardwood floors looked fabulous! Stanley checked in during the three week project. His crew was courteous on helpful. I will be using them in the near future to redo my kitchens and two baths. I would highly recommend them for any home improvement projects you may have.o

I bought their Big Deal; the deal was for three hours of kitchen and bathroom caulking and grout restoration. I liked their quality; their work was good. I did not have any issues with them.

We purchased a Big Deal for a complete 40 sq. ft. bathroom remodel. Stanley came promptly to look at the existing bathroom space and said that the Big Deal would cover the work. At that time, he also suggested a half wall at the end of the shower, which turned out to be a very good design suggestion and makes the bathroom look more open. A couple weeks later, Stanley called on a Friday and asked if he could begin work on Monday. We had not yet completed our design choices so scrambled a bit that weekend to do so. Stanley and Roman showed up Monday morning to start demolition. Stanley said that he needed the shower pan by the next day because he installs that after finishing the demolition. The pan we wanted was a special order that could not be obtained so quickly, and we agreed to pay Stanley more to build a tile floor for the shower. The shower turned out beautifully, certainly much better looking with all tile than if we had used a shower pan. The shower floor is also done really well, so that the water drains without leaving puddles. We also paid extra for him to replace corroded plumbing, update the electrical, insulate the outside wall, and install ductwork for a bathroom exhaust fan. There were a few issues arising from the fact that they placed the plumbing without measuring the specific fixtures that we had purchased. In the case of the vanity, this was understandable because it did not come until after the wall was finished and was non-standard size. For the toilet, there was only a 10-inch rough-in (the distance between the wall and drain) and they did not bring it up to the current standard of 12-inches. The first toilet that we got didn't fit and we had to purchase a different one from a very limited selection. Stanley said that he had never encountered this issue before, so hadn't thought to measure, but surely he's checking rough-in distances now since it extended the project 1-2 days. Overall, the new bathroom looks fantastic and functions very well. Stanley was generally easy to work with and open to discussing details of the project. Roman was a hard worker and usually showed up around 8:30, even on a Saturday, and often stayed late; he did a great job with the tile and was very conscientious about putting down tarps to protect the floor and stairs. We spent more than the cost of the Big Deal, but that was due to the extra work and the materials and fixtures that we chose. There are products that fall in range of the allowances, but we wouldn't have gotten the look that we wanted. For us, the extra cost was worth getting a bathroom we are happy with and we think we still got a good deal.

Stanley completely gutted and installed a new shower in my husband's bathroom. There were a few glitches because our home is over 50 years old. Stanley did an excellent job; the shower is quite beautiful - we love it! He also updated our laundry closet. I simply love it too. The ceiling fan looks wonderful in our sun room. Stanley and his staff were always professional, easy to get along with and did a wonderful job! We will certainly hire them again in the future. I apologize for the delay in submitting my review. We have had bad experiences with contractors in the past; I generally do not submit a review until many months past.

I found Stanley on Angie's List. He was one of six contractors we called for bids. Due to a plumbing issue, we needed to remodel our powder room and part of the hallway and kitchen. Stanley was the only one who noted that the bathroom floor needed to be fixed and leveled. He went to the basement and looked at the plumbing too. He also seemed to understand my very custom design for the bathroom. We had the usual miscommunications along the way, but they were all fixed right away and to our satisfaction. The final bid was right on target. We purchased all materials except for paint and building supplies, so our total cost was much higher. At the end of the day we have a new marble bathroom with wainscoting, repurposed antique sink, custom fixtures and pocket door. Additionally they drywalled the ceiling of the bath and kitchen and replaced most of the oak molding. It is beautiful. Stanley's sub-contractor Rafael was wonderful to work with. Very detail oriented and an amazingly hard worker. We hired a separate electrician and plumber, although Stanley did some of the plumbing work as well. Overall very very pleased with the work done, and the price was fantastic. Would definitely hire this company again!

We had been putting off the remodel of this small bath on our second floor, which also has two bedrooms. We turned the entire second floor into our master suite, i.e., one bedroom has our bed, nightstands and TV, and the other was transformed into a walk-in closet, with the bathroom separating the two bedrooms. We didn't want to deal with the intrusiveness and the inconvenience that would certainly accompany this remodel. Two family friends remodeled our main floor bath, and we wanted them to perform the work on our masterbath, but the carpenter passed away about a year after the remodel, and we were unable to reach the plumber. I finally had to put my Angie's list membership to work, and I'm so glad I did. We were very happy with the work on our main floor bath, and this gave us a level of quality by which to guage Global's. I have to admit I was a little concerned by how informal the contract process was, but Stan gave us the flexibility to write in some wording that made me feel more comfortable. We initially wanted to go with the coupon special, but after shopping for tile, the vanity, fixtures, etc., we decided we wanted to go with some custom items that required us to delay the start of the project. Stan just rescheduled us, which worked out with our shedules. I believe Stan helped with the initial demo along with his contractor, Roman. Roman took the job from there. I have to say that aside from the inconvenience of moving toiletries and clothing between the two floors and the inevitable dust everywhere, the remodel went relatively smoothly. My husband was more engaged while the actual work was going on because he was home during the day. He did have to do some travel back and forth to the store for some items because of one or two small mishaps with the work and miscommunications on both our parts. There was also a small delay because of the type of mosaic tile we selected, which had alternating medal, glass and ceramic pieces that required a huge special saw. The entire job lasted approximately 15 days not including two weekends. We are overjoyed with our new masterbath, and don't regret overspending by about a 1/3 of our budget, which was because of the items we selected. The amount we were quoted for the work is exactly what we paid even with a couple of small obstacles that required a little extra work for Roman. Roman has an excellent work ethic, and we felt very comfortable leaving him in our home unattended. We eventually got into a daily routine of passing each other, and his letting himself out if me or my husband weren't at home when he was done for the day. The placement of the sink may seem ackward to some, but it's what we had become accustomed to and worked with the structure of the bath, which is a dormer added on by the previous owner some 30 years ago. There are just a couple of very small items that still need to be addressed. The first is the water leaks from under the shower door when in use, so we have to be careful with the direction of shower head. This may be a design flaw in the shower door, or the location of the border strip that is glued to the shower base. The other are the metal strips that need to be replaced in the doorways that separate the carpet from the new tile on the landing. I plan to use Stan or whomever he subcontracts to perform the work when we're ready to complete the remodel (painting and new carpet) on the master suite as well as the kitchen and other work we have planned on the main floor. As much as I hated the inconvenience, I'd do it again in a heartbeat as long as Global does the work. Stan, I'll show you what we figured out about the water and the shower when you drop off my carpet strips! Don't forget.

Provider wasn't prepared to repair grouted areas. Only cleaned up caulking. Wasn't able to quote more extensive repairs.

The guys were very easy to work with. They were very professional and did quality work.

To date, every aspect of the remodel was done well. Demolition was fast and included a great cleanup. Framing was excellent. The tiling and grouting were done flawlessly. We are just waiting on a few things to ship before the bathroom is complete.

I called Stanley, one of the company principals, when Angie's List initially listed Global Home Improvement as offering a bathroom remodeling job, and was somewhat surprised when he agreed to visit several hours later to view my house & the work that I had in mind. We talked about the work that had to be done to remodel the bathroom, and I also asked him for estimates on the foyer flooring and garage ceiling wallboarding. I was pleasantly surprised with the reasonable pricing for all three jobs, and gave him a deposit to start these projects. He and his associate, Roman, started these jobs within several days, and worked on them on a daily basis for most of the next nine days, including a Saturday session. I was greatly impressed with the professionalism of their work, their punctuality in arriving on time each day, their readiness to suggest alternate approaches when they were more sensible than what was originally contemplated, and their willingness to work with my ideas & time schedules. Both demonstrated expertise in several varied areas of workmanship, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, flooring, and wallboarding. I was very pleased with the final results, and would heartily recommend them to anyone interested in considering similar work. Stanley and his Global Home Improvement firm is a first class contracting company, which provided excellent workmanship for my projects, and they hopefully will provide similar results for others as well.

Stanley did an excellent job, and was extremely careful and neat. Stanley is extremely professional and polite. I am planning on having him do additional work for me in the future.

They started the project by putting up barriers to protect the rest of the house from dust and dirt. They were very clean, courteous and professional in their day to day activities. A few weeks after the project was complete they called to make sure everything was working to our satisfaction. I liked them. They did a very good job. I would recommend them. The owner and his assistant work directly on the job and they are very good to work with.

I wish I would have bid the job as a turn-key verses paying by the hour. (By the hour there were several store runs and phone calls @ $50.00 per hour- his fee after the Angie's list fee was used up.) The contract said "Contractor will take care of garbage" - we had to pay an additional $55. on the final bill. The total job appeared to take longer than anticipated. He did a nice job on the porcelain floor tile, toilet, medicine cabinets, but had problems with the shower tile. The tile pattern is not uniform and a gap was not covered by the shower head.

Went well. From approx. 10 am till 3 pm work was under way except for a short period of time needed to get supplies at the local Home Depot.

He came right on time and evaluated the job. He was done on time and made sure everything was clean before he left. I was very pleased with the work.

Mr. Klimes worked at re-caulking and repairing the grout for the two hours paid for. The results were fine.

Stan was here and started working right away. Everything looks good.

He was on time, professional, explained and answered all my questions, went to home depot to get additional supplies and did a great job.
