This is our second time working with Stanley. He did a bathroom remodel job for us back over Christmas and did an outstanding job. Everything was finished on time, which is virtually unheard of with contractors, and beautifully done. He even completed some minor details that I didn't ask for, but greatly added to the aesthetics. We had him in mind when we needed a paint job. He stopped by less than 24 hours after the initial inquiry to take a look and what needed to be done and had an estimate promptly. Although we ran into some unexpected issues on our end (didn't move furniture enough, changed mind on paint color), he was very patient and willing to work with us. The crew has showed up on time every day and been very professional. The estimate given to us was fair and so far, we've gotten more than what we paid for. Stanley stopped by himself to oversee the project and again, pointed out several little details which I never would noticed without a careful inspection. This shows his attention to detail and how he expects his crew to have similarly high standards. Would definitely hire him again.

Stanley, the owner of the company, was very flexible and worked extensively with us to make sure he understood the work we wanted performed. His people are meticulous, extremely detailed oriented and provide a very high quality of installation of everything we wanted. Over the course of several weeks, my wife and I kept finding different things we wanted to update in our kitchen, and the people who work for Stanley never flinched, they installed everything to perfection. They also made some terrific recommendations to us that my wife and I had not considered, and we were very happy they did! During and after the project was completed, Stanley contacted us to make sure we were happy with all of the work they performed. We will most definitely use Global Home Improvement on other projects in the future!

The owner came out to give an estimate on our projects. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I felt very comfortable that he could give us what we wanted in our bathrooms. Both baths are beautiful and functional and we are so pleased with the results. Each member of his crew that came to my home was very friendly and always kept me informed of the project and its progress, which is hard to come by these days....Thanks for a great contractor experience!! I have already hired him again to repair damage done to our ceiling during this crazy winter and again am so pleased with the work. Thanks again!

I absolutely love the finished product, Stanley and his workers do a great job. Stanley seemed to always be available through email, text, or phone call which was awesome. My only problem was that the project took too long from when I purchased the deal on Angie's list until the date they actually finished working on the home. I bought the deal back in mid September 2013 with a projection to start work the beginning of October 2013. Work was not 100% completed until March 14th 2014. This was a recently purchased home and I didn't want to move in while it was under construction but was forced to the end of January because my lease was up at my old place. I was originally given 6-8weeks as the project time because the cabinets had to be special order. But that projection was far off taking almost 6 months to completely finish the work. I feel that is because Global Home Improvement takes on too many jobs at once.

I saw a Big Deal ad from GHI for a bathroom remodel. I paid for it immediately. A short while later I got a message from GHI requesting my phone number. I responded with my information and then never heard from them again. I sent them a message. No reply. I tried to call, but his voicemail - a personal account without any professional introduction or reference to Global Home Improvement - was full. I firmly believe these positive reviews for GHI are simply fake. Angie's list should require better ways to rate providers. Because of this experience, my first on Angie's List, I highly doubt I will ever use Angie's list again. It is a fraud.

Stanley remodeled our completely outdated bathroom and I couldn't be happier. We have a small bathroom and space is at a premium. Stanley relocated some plumbing to give us more space, installed beautiful tiles and fixtures, and built a cabinet. Everything looks great, they were reliable, trustworthy and friendly. At the same time, he had separate guys refinish our attic. Gutted it, new drywall, tape and sand. Looks great and has literally doubled the size of our house for a great price.

I bought my Angie's New Deal for the $727 deposit for a bathroom remodel. Stan from Global Home came out and inspected my bathroom and he was very informative and gave me various suggestion on what could be done. I was interested in having the work done but we had a problem with setting a date to get the work done. I only have Wednesdays and the weekend off (Sundays). Global Home is in Schiller Park and I live in the Joliet area. Stan needed two complete weeks to get the work done. I do have 2 weeks available every 1 weeks but have to travel to California for training certification. Stan said because of the travel from Schiller Park he needed full days to work on the bathroom. I have not been able to be home for the full two weeks. He wanted me to leave a key with him to come in and work while I was gone, but I cannot allow this. This is not a matter of trust because I know he is bonded and licensed but I just cannot allow anyone in my home alone. So the work has not been performed and I don't see how it can be at this point. I will have to use a local company to do the work on one or two full days a week and half days otherwise until the work is done. I don't know what happens to my deposit from the "Big Deal". To be clear, Global Home is not the problem here, they have done nothing wrong. We just cannot agree on dates to do the work.

I have never used a contractor before and may have had high expectations from watching so much HGTV. The main contractor did my estimate in November ( I got him through an Angie's List Big Deal). He told me at that time that he would not have time to renovate my bathroom until January. I decided to wait it out and used the time to really decide and purchase the items I wanted to design my bathroom. I had to contact him in Jan and even though he had made notes he remembered nothing about what I actually wanted to do when he called me back. He sent a worker to my house with absolutely no instructions but to do demolition to the bathroom. The worker did not have a van to put the debris in and I did not want to park outside in the middle of winter so they stored all the junk in my bedroom for at least 3 days. Luckily I moved into a guest room or I would not have had even that space for them to keep the garbage. When I asked why he didn't get a dumpster or make any arrangements he just said that it would've cost me more money for a permit to get a dumpster and he expected to use my garage even though he never asked. This was just the begining of the poor planning. He also never went over placement of my vanity & cabinet with me and due to that fact I ended up having to change where the cabinet went at the last minute because there were no studs in the wall that they had previously had open and would have been able to place a brace to install the cabinet. This ruined my picture of the room and has rendered the cabinet almost useless to me. The contractor never told me that I would also have to run to Home Depot and get grout, tile, paint...these were all things that were included in the contract to be supplied by him. He didn't give his worker any money for these items so I had to go to the store before and after work every day for the first week to pick up odds and ends. Eventually the job was finished and I do like my new bathroom for the most part. He says that if there is any problem with the tile installation quality or leaks I can contact him but I don't see that going well if I do. I have learned that I need to specifically sit down with any contractor I hire in the future and force them to go over all the details with me so I know what I'm in for. I did expect to be the designer and felt I was prepared with the furnishings I had purchased ahead of time but I did not expect to be the project manager.

Very pleased with the services, Mr. Raphael was very punctual( even in the cold weather). Would refer them to all of my friends, highly recommended!

It went very well. They did a very nice job. They were very clean and professional. Stan was the guy in charge. He made that the guys had what they needed. We got we wanted and asked for. They did a nice, professional job. We had one little issue with a drain and they came back and fixed it right away. Everything is fine now and I plan on having them back to work on my house. It was more than the big deal, because she wanted to have the tub taken out and a larger shower built. They did a lot of work and they also did some extra work for us. They fixed her sink at no extra charge. The price was good. I am planning on using them again.

Stanley was very responsive to my inquiry and we discussed the details of the contract. He was clear and realistic in letting me know when he would start and end the project. He was always very responsive to my questions about the progress. Everything in the bathroom was demo-ed and replaced with brand new appliances, furnishings. The work was very well done, and we are thrilled with the work.

I purchased the Big Deal on Angie's List on September 9th, 2013. Stanley contacted me the next day through Angie's List message system and we arranged for him to come to the house. He was waiting for me when I arrive. He measured for the cabinets and gave me a catalog to choose from. We talked about when the work would start. He was very busy and made it clear he would not start before the end of October. A snafu on my part delayed the start of the job because the cabinets needed to be ordered and paid for. Stanley kept in contact with me while waiting for the cabinets to be delivered. The work began on the 18th of November. After the demolition was complete we started talking about some of the changes I wanted and he suggested. It was decided we needed to replace the flooring in the attached dining room. Knowing this work would need to be done we added an additional pot light and stub wall removed. He provided me a quote for the cost of the added work and the demolition of the dining room floor was completed. The guys on his crew are very skilled and experienced craftsmen and are proud of the finished product. The work continued through the next three weeks, including Saturday's (except the Thanksgiving weekend). I was surprised but happy the progress was moving forward. We could see the job would be complete soon, but the last major component that needed to be installed was the granite counters. This is the one area of the project my wife and I want some additional information beforehand so we had some context to set our expectations. We had no idea the time frame required for the granite to be milled. However I talked to Stanley and he gave me an estimate of 2 weeks. As it turned out it was 8 days and we are very happy with the results. In fact we have asked Stanley to provide us with an estimate to do remodel our bathroom. GREAT JOB Stanley!!!

He was able to fit me in his busy schedule. Roman is one of their cabinet makers and he was very meticulous. When it was all finished, everything was done correctly. I supplied them the materials and made a list of everything I wanted done and they did that.

Our kitchen needs a remodel and we saw a big deal from Angie's List that advertised a complete 10 by 10 kitchen for about 10,000 from global home improvement. My kitchen is about the same dimensions as advertised so I decided to purchase the big deal. I met with Stanley and went over a few configurations to the kitchen to match our design and layout ideas. We got several visual plans form Stanley and got two separate quotes after some changes. Both quotes were outside my budget and were close to 3 x the amount of the Angie's List big deal. Stanley was patient and has come out to our home a few times to see any adjustments and reflected the price on the proposals. We really wanted to get our kitchen remodeled but due to the experience and proposals we have to go back to saving some more money to accomplish our goal of remodeling our kitchen.

The contractor called on Monday the l l th after first speaking with him on the 4th regarding replacing a tub with the shower install. During the phone call on the 11th, he said he would call the next day and I haven't heard from him. I was the one who made the first contact.

Was not happy with Service Provider. Poor communication and lack of commitment on a start time, 30 plus days after he received our money, with no date to begin work. When I would communicate our exceptions and lay everything out with what we wanted, he would follow up with a phone call, send a "loose misleading" quote that was completely different that what we mutually agreed to. He would tell me that he "is so busy" that he "can't remember everything". (?) I was not comfortable having work done by a contractor who would not agree to work that was to be preformed in writing.

I am getting this Big Deal refunded. The issue is more on our side than the provider's. He is not able to get us scheduled until after the 1st of the year and I've decided to do some more research as far as our project goes.

Bathroom came out looking better than we had planned and within our budget- can't ask for anything more! He took a small, space in need of repair and completely transformed it into a very modern looking and sleek bathroom.We were very happy with the quality of work- especially the extreme care that was taken to make sure that the tiles of the shower floor, walls, and floor were perfectly cut, placed, grouted, and sealed. I have high standards and had a certain end goal in mind for the bathroom- it came out even nicer so what a great surprise! I highly recommend Global Home Improvement and would use them again for a future project :)

From the very beginning to the very end Stanley was always professional and timely. He came out and gave me an estimate. Once we agreed upon the contract terms and date he was there as promised. He called when he said he would, kept me informed of any additional charges (based on the additional items I selected) prior to obtaining them to ensure I was in agreement with the item and price. and checked for my approval and satisfaction with transformation. His workers arrived each day as promised. I had the pleasure of having Raphael as the lead man on my remodel. Raphael professional, nice and a very dedicated hard worker. I received everything promised. The work started out noisy and dusty but finished beautiful. A vat improvement from what it was. When Stanley and I needed to communicate he normally answered when I called or returned my call in a timely manner. I never had to run and hunt him down. If he said he would call me on a given date, I received the call. The work was completed to my satisfaction with my approval sought along the way. everyone in my family was extremely pleased with the completed work and the working relationship with Stanley and his crew members. I would certainly consider Global Home Improvement as my first choice for an estimate for any future remodeling work. It is a beautiful thing to have someone come into your home and promise to do something then keep their word and do a great job in getting the job done without fear of deceit, laziness, craziness or being taken advantage of. My total experience with this company and crew would be rated EXCELLENT. Thank you Global Home Improvement for doing a great job, earning my trust and loyalty. Who Im going to call? Global Home Improvement !

In three hours I wanted the guy to fix up my ceramic tiles in the master bath, recaulk and do the best he can. He wanted to tear everything down and re-do all the tiles. I said no, and he did a decent job with the silicon in about an hour. Then he left... Even though there were other things to do he never offered with two hours remaining.

Stanley and his crew were outstanding. Quality work, high attention to detail, no nickel and diming, patient with this sometimes indecisive client, and very pleasant to have in the house. Pricing was very straight-forward and inclusive. All told we had the following done: Demo of two baths, the kitchen, the family room and stair railings Some new electric New can lights Custom bookshelves Cabinet install Island install New wood floors in kitchen and family room New tile work in mudroom and half bath Restained existing floors Installed complete new bath with new tile work, floor, vanity, tub and fan Installed complete half-bath with new tile work, floor and vanity The project was probably about 7 weeks in all. Stanislav is a very nice person. It was difficult to coordinate a time for him to do the purchased work due to both of our schedules. Before I purchased the deal, I verified that grout cleaning would be covered and was told it would be. When Stanislav arrived, it appeared to me that the expected work was a bit of a surprise even though I had mentioned that I wanted grout "cleaning" during each of our phone conversations. When Stanislav evaluated the situation he then went to the store to purchase cleaning materials. I had expected that he would have these items when he arrived. Due to the amount of square footage that needed cleaning, Stanislav felt that he would probably not be able to clean all of it. I understood that the scope of the work would be too great to finish but wanted the grout that he would be able to clean be fully cleaned. I felt that it would be better to have what was done done fully as opposed to the majority of the grout cleaned partially. Stanislav worked very hard, but it was only for a couple of hours. I didn't realize the time he took to purchase the cleaning materials (almost an hour), would be part of the 3 hours that I had purchased. That was disappointing. When Stanislav left, what he had done was nice but not fully clean. I redid all of the grout myself by scrubbing the grout by hand using the scrub brush that Stanislav bought and the grout turned out wonderfully, what I had hoped for originally. I understand that my job was probably way under Stanislav's skills but that's why I asked whether cleaning was covered under the Big Deal before I bought it...

Stanley & Roman both with Global Home Improvement did awesome job remodeling our powder room start to finish. Gave us a schedule and kept that schedule. Bathroom came out looking terrific. Would use Global Home Improvement again for any other work that I may have in the future.
