Showed up with frozen supplies which she had to thaw. We paid $225 for a mediocre job. Lots of areas not touched. Examples leather furniture not dusted, switch plates not cleaned, floors not cleaned well. B-

With most service companies, the service you get depends on the tech they send to do the work. Marzena came to my home to help me clean for a move-in. We had floors sanded and finished, so we needed a thorough cleaning because it was very dusty. Marzena showed up on time, with all her own supplies. We walked through the house and discussed what needed to be done. She asked very good questions and listened to my concerns. She worked non-stop and the place shined when she was done. The house did not smell antiseptic or artificial since she used good, old-fashioned soap and water. It was clean and I was very happy with her job. I would ask for Marzena again if I ever need their services.

Showed up early, start time was 8am she showed up at 745am, at my request she used all my cleaning supplies and vacuum. I have a dog that sheds and she did a great job of cleaning up after him. She multi-tasked, had wash and dish's going while she cleaned other rooms. She was there for 4 hours and the place was spotless when she left. Her attention to detail was much appreciated. Living by myself and on disability I really liked that she left everything so organized and clean. I will hire her again and look forward to having my place so clean and ready to live in. Robb Kraft

We moved into our new condo and had Vicky's Polish cleaning service come out to clean before we moved all of our furniture. Agatha showed up at our condo on time. Other than that, she was terrible and that's probably giving her more credit than she deserves. She spent the first TWO hours cleaning our kitchen. On the surface it seemed she was doing something (removing all the shelves and drawers from the fridge, cleaning the oven, and the cabinets and drawers). Upon a post-cleaning inspection however, we found that the cabinets, fridge, and oven were still full of stains! These were not built-in stains... a wipe down with paper towel and 409 cleaner was all that was needed. We are still wondering what she was doing for so long in the kitchen. She spent several minutes talking to her boss (presumably Vicky) on the phone in Polish. Vicky then informed us that Agatha would not clean the top shelves or on top of the fridge and cabinets since she did not want to climb up on our step stool, chairs, or kitchen counters. She went on the vacuum the bedroom floors, and clean the bathrooms. My wife had made specific mention when we called to pay special attention to the chrome soap tray in the master shower since it had corroded and had signs of mildew. Agatha did NOT clean the tray; she instead told us that WE could clean it with vinegar and a scrubbing brush. She claimed to not have a scrubbing brush or bleach and could therefore not perform this task. EXCUSE ME, but what kind of cleaning person comes without a brush and bleach to clean the bathroom with... especially when an area was specifically mentioned. The outside temperature was in the mid-50s. My wife and I had walked to and from Downtown earlier than morning and it was comfortable. Agatha again called her boss and her boss informed us that she would not open our french doors to clean the outside of the windows because Agatha felt she would catch a cold if she opened the windows. As a result the windows were cleaned (rather hastily on our request) only from the inside and still looked dirty as the dust and pollen on the outside remained. Agatha was supposed to be there from 10am to 3pm, for a total of 5 hours at $25/hr. She "worked" seemingly interestedly until about 2:15 and then spent 15 minutes on the phone explaining why she did not want to do the outside of the windows, followed by doing the inside of the windows for a few minutes. We expressed our misgivings to Vicky who offered a whopping savings in rate of $10... from $115 to $105 for our grievances [ (4 x 25/hr) + 15] to [ 4 x $25 + 5 ].Agatha gave us no receipt for our services and left as soon as she could thereafter. We will never use their services again and caution fellow Angie's Listers against this wholly unprofessional company and their services.

I am kicking myself for not checking angieslist reviews before hiring them and for actually paying them $300 cash for a terrible job. (cash is their policy for new customers). 2 women for 5 hours $60 an hour. The rate was for bringing all the cleaning supplies. It was supposed to be a deep cleaning as I discussed over the phone with Barbara. We talked about cleaning the light fixtures, on top of the kitchen cabinets, etc, a really deep cleaning. They came with dirty supplies, already used swiffer dusters and 2 small rolls of paper towels. They were nice older women, but they were not able to do what Barbara said they would do. I gave them my paper towels and swiffer dusters. They found my brooms and used them too. I gave them a step ladder to reach on top of the kitchen cabinets which she said she cleaned. She looked nervous climbing the ladder (the top of the cabinets are 8 feet high) so I actually cleaned all the light fixtures myself because I didn't want them climbing a ladder again and I was in a time crunch to get the house cleaned before movers were coming the next day. I had so much on my mind with moving in, I did not scrutinize their job prior to paying them. After they left, I found that the floors were still dirty. I contacted Barbara about it and as a favor/against her policy, she offered to send the same women out the next day, but they could only come while I was moving in. I needed it done before the movers arrived so I declined her offer. As I was putting things in the kitchen cabinets, I realized that they barely cleaned inside the shelves and didn't touch the upper shelves or on top of the cabinets. I called to complain to Barbara again and it was useless, she got paid generously in cash already, she kept quoting her "policy" about hourly jobs and once they leave the house, that's it.

I agree with the other reviewer and the cleaning people that came out were not the same person they mentioned. I think the problem is with the owners, the two daughters of Vicky, who was the original house cleaner until she retired from cleaning homes. We just moved and are looking for a new cleaning service. The service I had in our old neighborhood was excellent. They occasionally missed things but overall they left the house clean and smelling clean. I paid $120 for 3100 square feet, 4 and 1/2 baths. We used every single one of those bathrooms and they left them spotless. Our new home is 3200 square feet with the same number of baths. We for some reason only use the one shower in this home so the basement bath isn't touched, which means it needs nothing more than a dusting or minor wipe down when cleaned. The two other full baths only need counter wiping and toilets. In any event, Kathy and Barbara asked for $200 for the first cleaning. I thought that was expensive but since they didn't know my home, how clean I kept it in between, I agreed. They quoted 8 hours without basement. It took the lady they sent 7 hours including the basement, which is what I would have expected, but I paid the full amount as agreed. I told Kathy that she did a nice job and I'd consider a monthly cleaning. She quoted $160 per month or $120 every two weeks. I told her I felt this was too much and couldn't pay that. After haggling back and forth for weeks, she wouldn't budge. She said "your house is very big". So I didn't hire her. Last week we had a death in the family and I needed the help so I called them. This time they wanted to charge me the $25/hour again totaling almost $200. I said, no, that's ridiculous. I'm providing the supplies and at the amount of time she was suggesting it was nearing $30/hour. Absurd. Finally Barbara agreed to the $160 and I said it had to include basement. She said they'd do it and evaluate how long it took. She conceded that they may have misquoted my home. I thought the two woman she sent were friendly and nice. I stayed for awhile and left to run an errand. I came back an hour before they should have completed the job and they were GONE. I was not necessarily surprised but walked around the house to check things. There were crumbs on the kitchen floor, broken pieces of uncooked spaghetti from our previous night's dinner, spaghetti sauce on the counter, the cupboards were not wiped, the small area rugs had not been flipped up so there was dirt underneath those rugs, I ran my finger along the baseboards and there was dust so they did not clean the baseboards, one of the major things I even hire cleaning out for (I clean a lot in between but the home is too big to keep up with to our standards). Upstairs in the master bathroom, hair all over the floor so they did not even mop the master bathroom tile. I contacted Barbara and Kathy by phone and email and told them the job was not done and that I would not be rehiring as she had presumed unless they sent someone back to finish the job and sent the woman who'd cleaned my home the first time. They have yet to respond to me. I am not a wealthy person who gets my home cleaned while I play in a tennis league. My husband and I skimp and budget to afford the cleaning so that we can function in a clean home. We can not afford to throw money away like that. In the wake of my grandfather's death, I was appalled that these woman would take advantage like that. I wanted to stop payment on the check and resend out a payment for the amount of work that was actually done. My husband suggested we let it go and just make sure we let others know how awful this service is.
Description of Work: This service cleaned the inside of my home. This was to include cleaning baths, showers, floors, dusting all furniture, cleaning the kitchen, mopping floors, vacuuming, wiping outsides of cabinets, and cleaning baseboards and trim (e.g., wiping down interior doors.)
