Fantastic! On time courteous workers explained things to us. Cleaned up and took away all debris. Would definitely recommend them!

It was through my town home association is why there wasn't a charge to me. As indicated their work was very good. Overall rating of a C is because of the time frame. Almost 5 weeks between initial contact to the repair.

It has been a year since we had the drain tile installed in my mother-in-law’s house. Her home is almost a hundred years old, and she is in an area that is prone to flooding. Prior to the work being done she was getting water even during moderate rain-fall, and there was a persistently musty smell in the basement. Just after installation we had the wettest spring, summer, and fall on record. She had not a single drop of water in the basement! We are very pleased with the work, the professionalism of the salesperson, and the workers who came and installed. The price was a little higher than some of the other estimates, but lower than others. It was worth it to us to have the job done right...and it was.

The sales rep who came to our house for the estimate appointment was professional and very thorough. We received a detailed written estimate and made the decision to proceed with the contract at that time. The work was completed to our satisfaction. The technicians who performed the service were professional and cleaned up the work site when they were done. Both the sales rep and technicians arrived on time for the appointments. We received a reminder from US Waterproofing a couple of days prior to the service appointment. I would definitely us this company again.

It went well. He was on time. And so far the patch is holding.

Steven came on time and thoroughly checked over our basement with regard to our concerns. No seepage was discovered but he made several suggestions for things for us to keep an eye on. Steven didn't try to sell us any unnecessary services and was clearly interested in determining if we had any seepage problems in the basement.

The consultant that came out was friendly and on time. Unfortunately after getting a second opinion from a different company the issues we thought we had were actually more in depth then we thought or what US Waterproofing found during the time of inspection.

First, the office made a list minute change of salesman because the original salesman called me to ask if he could come early, and I said no, I wanted him to come at the time we had scheduled. The salesman who came was very helpful and took lots of time to answer my questions. Unfortunately, he didn't want to give me a quote until their "structural expert" came to assess whether my foundation was actively settling. He said someone from the office would contact me in 2-3 days to schedule this appointment. Two WEEKS later, after following up multiple times about this appointment, the salesman said he had just found out that they don't do foundation repair in Chicago. WHAT?! Why would you schedule an appointment for someone in Chicago to get a quote for foundation repair when you don't perform work in Chicago?! Makes no sense.

Peter was the person who came to the house to give me the estimate. He was very thorough and explained exactly what was going to happen and how the work was going to be performed. He went through the material that was going to be used. He also provided information on a couple other services that I might be able to take advantage of. A representative from the company called the next day to set up the appointments. Both teams arrived on time. Both explained exactly what they were going to do. I was very pleased with the results. I would recommend this company and would use them again.

I had Paul Fischer out for an estimate on my crawlspace on 7/23/16. I don't have any water coming in at all- I just wanted to encapsulate the crawlspace and make it easier to work in- moving things around for storage, checking the joists, etc... Paul told me I need to get a drainage system installed with a sump pump and install a comfort crawl system. This seemed like a lot of work but the quote was 4600.00 and I thought it was reasonable. Today, 7/27/16 I find in my mailbox an envelope for 2 new quotes because this original one was wrong due to the iPad not working properly. One quote was for 5600.00 w/out the drainage system originally told I had to have and the 2nd one was for 10,110.00 with a new drainage system installed. OK here's where things get shady- the original quote was 5,510.00 off on count of a faulty iPad? If the square footage is written down, which it was, you can plug the numbers in and figure it out- something seems very wrong here. They call this "bait and switch" and it's how crooks operate. The 2nd quote w/out a drainage system, now there's another way to do my job, but originally Paul told me "this is the way we do it" was for 5,600.00! That's an additional 1,000.00 from the very first quote. I know US Waterproofing has been around for along time and this is why I even called them to come out, however after seeing how this company operates I'll never refer them to anyone and will also let people know of my horrible estimate experience. I can't believe someone could actually try to swindle a customer like this. Please see the pictures I uploaded. I'm happy I'm able to display this to show everyone out there how this company operates.

There was no actual work done at the point, because prior to having them come out I had Perma-Seal attempt to solve the issue by apply a plastic wrap underneath below ground level which they told me it would fix my issue (It did not, lost money). I had photos while workers were digging in that project and it displayed a Pier stabilizer connected to my house. The tech at USW was completely honest about the guarantee their seal would be able to 100% get behind that Pier stabilizer, so they explained that drain tiles would be a potential next option.

This project has been an absolute nightmare and it isn't even complete yet (more than 2 months after the initial work!) Our salesman who sold the project was incredible. He was super knowledgable, thorough, attentive, responded quickly. If I had only known that he was only the sales guy and we'd never receive that type of service again.... US Waterproofing has made numerous mistakes since the project began and I've worked with 5+ people throughout this nightmare process, only one of whom has taken responsibility and gotten back to me in a timely manner. The timeline of our outrageous experience (which has still not been remedied) is below: 5/2-5/4 Original USW Waterproofing Installation. 5/6 USW charges my credit card, a different one that the one I'd asked them to charge. 5/9 I tell USW they charged wrong credit card on 5/6. They tell me they'll fix it. 5/12 Basement gets water. Contact them immediately. 5/23 USW sends surveyor to look at what repair was needed. He documents needed repairs and schedules repair for 6/1. 6/1 USW repair guy comes and says the surveyor who came 5/23 diagnosed the wrong problem and he cannot fix it, he will need to send a different crew. 6/4 New USW crew comes to fix leaking 6/10-ish After 10+ emails, 25+ phone calls, speaking with Dawn, Larry & Tamisha, I speak with Larry inquiring about switching the card/reimbursement and he goes back to "why don't we just leave it on the original card, I don't understand why this is a problem." 6/13 USW charges my correct credit card but they don't reimburse my other card so now I'm holding $9500 charges on two of my cards. 6/14 Call to USW have window repaired that was broken during 5/2-5/4 installation 6/20 USW comes to fix window 6/23 USW shows up without notice when I'm not home to replace new window. 6/23 USW reimburses the card they incorrectly charged on 5/6. 6/24 I notice dried water/dirt marks on the floor but I clearly caught it after the leaking had dried. Take photos of dried water marks and take mental note to keep an eye on future water damage. 6/27 USW shows up again to replace broken window glass. 7/6 Basement gets water again. Send water damage photos to two different contacts at USW. Haven't gotten a response.

They came on scheduled, did the work that needed to be done and were professional. I did reach out to the representative about a month later to ask a question, in which he promptly answered my question.

We got an Angie's List discount. The Advisor who gave us the estimate and the Field Supervisor who came out ahead to walk through the details were very helpful in getting us ready for this major project. The job site foremen for each part of the work were all outstanding. The workers overall were professional and courteous, had good attitudes, and were tremendously hard working. It took three days to do everything. The perimeter drain required jackhammers and our crawl space was not very high. Debris went out of the house in buckets. They took great care cleaning the worksite and leaving things in good shape. We appreciated their conscientiousnous and very comprehensive work process.

The problem has been miss diagnosed over and over from the beginning and all they cared about was to sell you a service you don't need and try to collect. Thank God I insisted the full payment will only be made after the problem is fixed (which they always say wait for a couple of days before testing) The issue has NEVER been ground water, when Gary 1st came out, we did a ground water test and there was NO leak. Since then I’ve had over ½ a dozen service people visit my house, only to focus on your “membrane” and the fact that’s not leaking from that area. The issue was never the area between the foundation and brick to start with. The service techs went on to recommend:- Tuck pointing- Flashing- Sealing around the electrical outlets- Replace, extend gutters I spent $1,000s of dollars on removing/reinstalling the back patio, flashing, tuck pointing, gutters while the issue all along was an unsealed pipe in the back and missing flashing in the front. I KINDLY REQUEST THE REFUND OF MY MONEY IN FULL, I wish I can also ask for reimbursement of the money I spent on tuck pointing, carpenter, gutter guy and all the time I spent back-n-forth to meet your guys. This entire experience has been a very expensive, lengthy and frustrating for both me and my tenant.

I called U.S. Waterproofing because water was coming into the basement, I thought through the wall or floor. The appointment was easy to make and Jason came on time. He realized that the water was from a leak in my sump pump pipe and it needed to be replaced. He said they could do the work, but it probably would be cheaper to use a plumber. This was great and very impressive! Thank you, Jason! I did actually use U.S. Waterproofing for a job in 2012. They did excellent work and were the only company who diagnosed the problem correctly.

I needed a sump pump discharge bubbler pot moved farther inside my property's lot line and it had to be done within a 2 week deadline. I've used US Waterproofing before so I called them and they were able to move the sump discharge within the deadline, even though it was winter. (Luckily we had 1 Saturday with temperatures in the 40's!) Everyone from Dawn in their office, to Anthony who came out for the estimate to the 2 men who actually did the work, went above and beyond to help me with this problem.

US Waterproofing just came out and replaced my sump pump and couldn't be happier! They came within the scheduled time window and did the install quickly and without any clean up necessary. The crew they sent out were very nice and easy to work with. I decided to go with them upon a recommendation of a coworker and was glad I did. The new system they installed is much quieter than the old one, so much so that I became worried and went down to check. Sure enough, it was working! I will would recommend them to others and plan on keeping their phone number on file.

We contacted US Waterproofing to give us a professional opinion and estimate on repairing a crack in a wall of a home we were interested in buying. We explained that we had very little time and would need to make a decision on how to proceed quickly. Todd came out and was very pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. He explained what their company would do. We provided him with an engineer's report so he would have all of the details. We were told we would have a quote by the end of the day. The seller and I contacted the company for 7 days before getting a reply. The reply was that they did not want to quote on the job. I totally understand if the job was beyond their ability and appreciate that they admitted that, but knowing that we were on a very tight timeline I can not overlook the lack of professionalism in contacting us.

It takes a while to get someone to come out to evaluate and quote the repair then the actual repair is another time. The repair was done well. The only thing I didn't feel comfortable with is that the people doing the actual repair said they would repair a part of the foundation topline for a "tip" and they were pushing for us to repair another crack that wasn't actively leaking.

They didn't end up doing any work for me. Their price was outrageous and they quoted me on a timeline and were never even remotely close to keeping that timeline. So, I just fired them and moved on.

This company was very professional, on time and cleaned everything up.

They didn't opt for me one of the options another provider offered me. Their responsiveness was very good.

I have had US Waterproofing at our home three times in the 18 years we have lived here. Each time they were excellent! This new problem did not stem from a previous visit, but was a new leak in the basement coming from a widow well. Todd from US Waterproofing came out to evaluate the situation. He proved that it was the window well as the liner had removed itself from the building wall. Water was leaking in around the window and coming down the wall into the basement. He said they could install a new well liner and put a membrane around it to seal off any water coming from the outside. He also suggested we have covers installed as this would prevent some water from coming into the window as well (pun intended). The company's work would only be warrantied if we had drains installed in the well which they could provide, however, never having seen any drains in the window wells I could not be certain. The gentlemen who came to do the work dug out the wells (2) several feet deeper than had been previously and discovered drain tile. They did an exceptional job. They showed me the membrane material they would be using, the rocks they would replace in the well and the well liner which they attached to the building. Great job - only took a few hours.

They did a good job, but they constantly tried to upsell me which I disliked.
