U.S. Waterproofing

I had called another company for an estimate first and they had no openings for 3 days. I requested to be on a cancellation list but heard nothing back. The inspector came on time and was very nice. I asked when the job could be done and he said he would love to get it done tomorrow but they needed a permit from the city and they only go get those on Tuesdays and Fridays. That weekend I couldn't contain the water in the basement. Slowly the water was creeping toward the furniture and saturating the carpet completely. So, on Tuesday they called to explain no permit due to a holiday and they "maybe" could go Thursday or Friday to get the permit but couldn't guarantee it. They wouldn't give me an appointment to do the work without the permit. I'm starting to panic as the water is creeping in. I call US Waterproofing. Andy at the office sends John and in 24 hrs I have an estimate, a permit and the job is done the next day. Unbelievable service.

Terrific. Brad arrived a few minutes earlier than my scheduled two hour appointment window (how nice) with someone in training. I was not home from work yet but my father was there and Brad examined the source of the seepage. Since he had other appointments in the area, he offered to go to another one and return in 20 minutes when I was home so he could speak to me personally, and he did just that. He explained all my options in a very detailed, clear manner. He quickly completed an estimate and was very friendly and personable. I also want to note what a pleasure it was just setting up the appointment. The first woman we spoke with was able to schedule an appointment within two days of emailing them for a free consultation, and when we had to make a last minute appointment change they were able to accommodate us immediately for the same day. We are currently deciding on when we will be able to have the work done, but will feel comfortable using this company.

They installed the covers. Subsequently, one of the covers was continuously covered in condensation on the inside. After two calls, I was promised followup that never materialized. I was surprised that the material was as flexible as it was, since it's supposed to withstand a lot of weight. It definitely gives when you step on it. Also, the fit is not quite as exact as I was expecting, and they pop out easily. In retrospect, this was a ton of money for something I'm not at all sure was worth it.

They were very professional and did a good job. We had other water leaking issues and they were good and honest about not making those unnecessary repairs.

The water was coming in along the walls of the basement as well as through the glass block windows. US Waterproofing came out to the house to give us a quote and said that they do not do the work we are looking for with the window. We decided that since the water was only coming in during really unusually really heavy amounts of rain we were not ready to seal the walls of the basement at this time.

They had to remove half of the flooring to install pipes. They were able to get the job done in just one day, which I liked. They seemed to be very busy and I had a little trouble getting them out but once they were here they did a great job. Whatever they did seems to work because I have not had any other problems. They were very patience explaining everything to me because this was all foreign to me. They were very efficient!! The people that come out are very good at explain what they are going to do and why they had to do it.

They did everything in one day, and I was very happy with that because they worked very hard. They were very efficient and cleaned up everything afterwards. Overall, I was very pleased with them because they were very good.

Phone support people were very helpful during my initial call, when I wasn't exactly sure what kind of work I needed done. Estimator was thorough at inspecting my existing circumstances. He had good printed examples with pictures of my options that I was able to keep. Crew came for installation during promised time frame. Work manager was very diligent; he cleared up a misunderstanding that I had about where this new sump was supposed to go, and did a good job fitting it into a difficult spot. UPDATE: The basement flooded the following summer. In my initial report's additional remarks, I had noted that the estimator had judged about what we could afford and didn't give us choices about what to pay. I still hear him telling me to have my husband dig around the foundation and line it with contractor grade trash bags. We ultimately had a different company come in the next summer (after the second flood) and do that kind of waterproofing professionally. They also installed a drain tile. In the course of doing so, they discovered the crack in the foundation that was causing the majority of the water in the basement. I feel that the whole second flood could have been avoided if this company had given us more options about how to actually waterproof our basement.

They were reliable, very personable, and had reasonable rates. I would use them again.

They came out and sent me an appraisal. When I sent the signed contract back they called me and said that they had made a mistake and that the job would cost nearly $1500 than originally estimated. We agreed on another, less expensive course that they said should resolve the problem. It did not resolve the problem. After 2 sump pumps that did nothing to solve the problem I had them remove the second pump and still have water in my basement. This is the second problem I had with this company and would advise anyone to seek other estimates from more trustworthy companies!

The sales rep was timely, knowledgeable and professional.

They did some waterproofing on the area and they were on time. I called another company before I called them and they gave me a low estimate, but I did not like their sales pitch. The sales guy at US Waterproofing was great. They did a nice job and they were very professional.

The work made a big difference, however we've had them back out twice more because the cracks they filled were still seeping. However they do offer a lifetime guarantee.

I had to write a review on these people because I was so impressed by their professionalism and their trustworthiness. They came out twice free of charge and helped us consider inexpensive options to shore up what seems to be a hairline fracture in our foundation. We really respected their troubleshooting ideas and because of this, will be using them to repair this problem very soon.

They made this job an easy one for me. I called and we were able to arrange for them to come out for an estimate in a couple of days around my work schedule. He explained everything that needed to be done. They were able to return to do the project in a week after I returned from a trip. They were professional, clean and easy to deal with.

We bought a new house and tore out the carpet in the basement to put in hardwood floors and found this crack extending the entire length of the basement. We were worried about water issues with the wood installation and called US Waterproofing for an estimate to fix it. The gentleman that came out was extremely thorough spending about an hour evaluating the situation. Then he was kind and honest enough to recommend we do it ourselves and save the money. You have got to like that kind of advice where it is clear they don't try and rip you off.

They were good. They came out to the house to do the work on time and were polite and professional. They are clean and neat and clean up after themselves. Ill certainly have this company come out to do work again.

The representative and on-site foreman were friendly and professional. They had to trench along two basement walls and install new sump pit and pumps. The job was done with as little interruption as possible. They completed job within two days. After the job was completed they cleaned up any mess inside and out. The price was a little on the high side, but was justified by the quality of the work.

They were very professional and did what they said they would at the price they quoted.

We didn't get past the phone call to setup initial visit out to my home. The initial person who answered the phone was not all that pleasant but I moved beyond that. She transferred me to someone who was just as impatient as the first to get me off the phone. The person I was transferred to could not answer any of my questions prior to getting all of my information first. She couldn't get someone out to see me before three weeks, when I questioned if there was anything sooner, she responded that they are busy and there are hundreds of people before me that want something sooner. Not only was that answer unprofessional so was the tone and heavy sighs that came with it. At that point I decided this is not the kind of service I would like to receive. I told her I would like to cancel the appointment and I would find a different company for I did not appreciate the lack of customer service I was receiving. At that point she hung up on me. I can only assume she canceled my appointment.

They were so wonderful! Every company wanted me to first cut open the drywall on our finished basement and then have them come out for an estimate. I was reluctant to do that because we have a lovely finished basement and were only getting a little water. The US Waterproofing people were so great. They came out before and after I opened the wall and they talked me through the whole process over the phone. They even squeezed me in that week, so that my wall would be fixed before an event at my home. All and all, they were fantastic. I would highly recommend them.

The workman arrived right on schedule, worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up the work area completely.

Representative came out and evaluated basement area that I was concerned about. He told us that while he could charge us $300-400 to make it look nice, that it wasnt serious enough to repair unless at some point in the future theres more water/standing water. I appreciate his honesty! Ill call them again.

I was happy with the work that this company did to waterproof my basement until we had bad storms all this week with a power outage. I got home and found the water alarm on the sump pump screaming (and I couldn't turn it off) because apparently there is no battery back-up on the pump. This is a very basic thing that should have been done, but I will probably have to pay for after-the-fact.

Excellent experience overall. The estimator showed up on time and quickly figured out where the water was coming from; he was very helpful and explained things well. When the work crew showed up to fix the problem, they were on time and completed their work quickly and thoroughly. They also showed me what they were doing, which I appreciated. I've had no water on that side since. I have just noticed seepage on another wall and will be calling US Waterproofing for that as well.
