+ -1 moreI tried calling and I was hung up on. The guy answered the phone and said, "Hello" and then he was quiet for a few seconds and then hung up. I tried calling back immediately and then my called went straight to voice mail. Pretty unprofessional.

+ -1 moreThe outcome is amazing! We had four different companies come to the house for quotes and advice prior to picking UNG. The UNG bid was the second to lowest for the work, but we had a personal reference from a family member to use Mike so we knew that the work would be good even with the great pricing. Mike is extremely nice, very responsive, professional and helpful. We ran into some leveling issues and he was patient as we discussed and determined all of our options. The end result could not be any better and we feel that the pricing was great. I don't think we are the only ones either since he and his team seem to book up fast.
Description of Work: We are renovating an older home (1950's) that had original hardwood floors throughout, except the kitchen. The upstairs floors and stairway were in great shape, but someone had hammered thousands (literally thousands) of nails through the floors on the first floor. Mike and the UNG team pulled up and replaced all of the floors on the first floor (including our kitchen) and then sanded and stained the floors throughout the upstairs to match.

+ -1 moreThey did absolutely beautiful work, much better than I anticipated. They were professional throughout, on time, and finished both jobs in 4 days. Mike (the owner) really knows this business well, and advised us when we were trying to decide what type of wood to buy. Outstanding knowledge, professional attitude and work, very thorough.
Description of Work: They refinished the hardwood floors in our large family room, adjacent hallway & closet, and installed new hardwood flooring (brazilian cherry) in our living room and adjacent hallways and closets. Installed new base & shoe in both areas. Created beautiful matching custom wood thresholds where needed (instead of using store-bought cheaper thresholds).

+ -1 moreMike worked non-stop and did an outstanding job. The wood was beautiful. From bringing the wood several days before installation to assure the wood would adjust to the environment to using a fabulous finish, He took meticulous care to assure a great outcome. The finish he put on the wood allows me to clean up quickly with a simple damp wipe. They are as beautiful as when he installed them 16 months ago. Mike is a true craftsman. Fabulous job!! I can't wait to do the rest of my house!
Description of Work: I had the entire main floor and upstairs hallway converted from carpet to hardwood flooring. Mike removed the carpet and very efficiently laid oak flooring. He was a true craftsman...measuring and customizing the floors to look as if they had always been in the house. He did the floor in the living room, dining room, kitchen and two hallways. He did 3 sets of stairs that came out beautifully. As unexpected issues came up, he addressed them and priced the adjustments fairly.
