Background Information. Perma-Seal fixed three cracks from the outside of my family room in April of 1999. In the fall of 2013, we remodeled the south wall of our family room. A month after completion, I discovered water in the south west corner of the family room, which I knew was from one of the cracks fixed in 1999. Perma-Seal did not honor their lifetime warranty contract to repair the crack for $100. After a month of hassling with them (they insisted that they could only do the repair from the inside - even though the original repair was outside), they agreed to do it with no guaranty and an additional $200. To repair the crack from the inside what have destroyed about a quarter of the new remodel. They picked the coldest day of the year to repair the crack. The repair lasted two years - thank you Perma-Seal for your shoddy work. I contacted Real Seal because of the great reviews I saw on Angie's List, plus I like to give my business to local people if I can. Joel Findlay came out in the morning and we surveyed the situation. I explained to Joel that due to extensive remodeling in the family room that the crack would have to be repaired from the outside. He wasn't sure if this could be done with a lifetime warranty due to the outside temperature. It was Tuesday and I mentioned the next three days were supposed to be in the high 40's before rain on Saturday. Joel stated that he thought they were booked, but he would check with his boss. Joel called back that afternoon, saying he talked to his boss and they could do it tomorrow morning with the warranty, but he had to know right then. I agreed, but the situation sort of reminded me of a New Car sales pitch where the salesman says " let me talk to my boss" and then comes back and says "we can do this at this price if you sign right now". It wasn't high pressure, like the car dealer, but reminded me of it. Anyway, two men came the next day and dug it out. One of the guys asked if Perma-Seal did the previous fix. When I asked why he said that, he said "it looks like their work". As far as I could see, they did a good job. Removed a lot of the goop that Perma-Seal left. The only complaint I have is that I wish they would have mounded all of the remaining dirt over the hole - left some around the edges. It has been almost two months and no problems. If past reviews hold true, I am sure I will be problem free as long as I own the house. They have been great from the beginning and I will have no problem recommending them to everyone.

The technician called an hour before arriving and informed about the estimated arrival time, explain briefly about the steps to fix the crack. The job completed as discrived, great work.

Friendly service with estimate, scheduled the crack filling two and a half weeks after estimate. Very knowledgeable and explained everything to me as it was finished.

Ben from Real Seal came out for an estimate the next business day. He investigated the crack in question and thoroughly checked the rest of the basement and sump pump. He patiently explained what to keep an eye out for, why and how. George from Real Seal came a few days to seal the crack with epoxy. He was courteous, professional and extremely thorough as well. Explained the process throughout, addressed any concerns patiently and cleaned up afterwards. Left the area looking better than when he came. Also, he carefully circulated air around the area as we have a strong sense of smell from building products. Real Seal treats customers with the highest respect. I wish they provided other home services!

We needed to have a back-up sump pump installed. Austin and The Real Seal were incredibly professional. The quoted us a great price, completed the job in a very short time, and took time to be sure they left the house completely clean. Excellent work!

I had two other estimates, and this company offered the lowest estimate. Salesman Ben was very pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and helpful regarding waterproofing methods. I had questions following the visit, and he responds quickly to phone calls, despite his busy schedule. Work was done within days, following the estimate visit. George did the actual work, and was also very pleasant, professional and extremely helpful! He takes the time to explain everything, regarding the work to be done, and if he notices other problems, he offers advice. This is a great company!

The entire process went extremely well. The sales process was smooth and no pressure. The quote was more than competitive and the installation team was professional and courteous. The installers were very informative and were more than willing to explain each step when asked. During the installation they stumbled on a couple of other major issues and they were conscientious to not proceed until a clear decision was made on how to proceed. I would highly recommend their services.

I recently bought a house and during the inspection issues with the drain tiles leading to the sump pump were identified. I contacted a plumber who told me I'd have to dig down around the foundation to locate the source of the problem. I decided to get a second opinion and I'm very glad I did! Real Seal came out and told me that the drain tiles in the house are not around the foundation, but rather under the foundation. If I'd listened to the original plumber I hired I would have had a backhoe dig up the yard for no reason! Real Seal gave me the option to have new drain tile installed, but also determined that there is no indication of flooding issues in the basement. For now I elected only to have them waterproof the exterior to resolve the water seepage issue on one wall. An honest company who gave me sound advice and did good work, what more could you want!

The work was completely professional. They arrived on-time and worked efficiently. They did all the jackhammering first, so the rest of the work was quiet. Drain tile was installed around the entire perimeter of our basement in a single day. They cleaned up all the trash, refuse, and residue, and left the basement neat and broom-clean.

The tech was very nice, clean, and professional. From the moment he was here, he got right to the job. Very happy and impressed.

I do not plan on using anyone other than Real Seal in the future. Tremendous responsiveness and high quality work. Austin responds right away and is a pleasure to interact with.

Everything worked out great. There was a crack in our foundation, there was a retention wall on the side of the wall and it was cracked and shifting. Multiple people came and gave opinions but they made the most sense. They repaired it and did a great job at a reasonable price.

We're just waiting for approval from my client to complete work. Austin arrived on time, was completely knowledgable about foundations and why they do what they do and how to repair them. I have several projects in the wings and I am waiting on approval to get them done. I will be calling The Real Seal once approval is granted.

The previous homeowners had received an estimate from The Real Seal for fixing foundation cracks that were seeping. I called and spoke to the man who did the estimate a few times with questions and he always returned my calls promptly and was more than willing to talk about what he saw and insisted he didn't think additional work such as encapsulation was necessary and simply recommended using a dehumidifier, so there was definitely no upselling and they were very honest. They communicated well and called the week before my appointment to ask if my appointment could be moved sooner. The man who came to seal the cracks was very polite and the work seems to have been done well.

Came on site for a leaking basement window, and spotted some problems with the brick-work above the window that was likely causing the problem. Referred me to a tuckpointing specialist. Honest and good referral too!

It went well. They pointed out that the problem is not the foundation. The water is actually coming from a point higher up. I thought that demonstrated their integrity.

Austin and his team were awesome. Very quick, clean and thorough. His communication was clear. I only wish they were able to do drywall, framing and other work because I'd hire them for that too. I highly recommend them cause The Real Seal is the real deal!

We got very good reliable information over the phone initially then they came out and gave an estimate and took the time to explain what they would do. The day of the job the work went faster than expected. They performed the job as promised and left things in good shape.
