Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Technician was courteous. He was a little later than the appointment time, but I was contacted by the dispatcher that he was running late. Finished job quickly. Thought the price was a little high, but it was fast.

They are good. He told me he didn't have to charge me because he sells the product, but I bought the plumbing solution he sold me. I would recommend them because they do not charge for coming out and they give you an evaluation of the problem with an estimated price and you can decide. They call out a lot after they schedule the time.

After looking and asking about the problems he explained what he needed to do. Luigi gave me a $450 quote for the drain cleaning. And after I gave the ok to break the wall he evaluated the faucet problem. He said the stem was old and difficult to find but he knew a supplier who had hard to find parts. His 2nd option was to replace the faucet with a Moen single handle. I asked for a Moen faucet. I'l need a contractor to repair the wall but the fixture looks and works great.

There were several stages with Jeff assessing and cleaning out the blockage. Gary inspecting the line with video, Wyatt discussing clean up options, and Oscar and Cedric handling the remediation. In all cases the workers were complete gentlemen and respected our household and timing. They responded in one day with all these services which was very important with our four children in the house.

Edmundo (the plumber #2308) did an OUTSTANDING job with explaining the issues pertaining to my mother's home. He and his apprentice put on surgical slippers, came down to the basement, assessed the main issue, educated me on the issue & why it's happening, educated me on other issues he'd found immediately & let me know how much it would be to solve the main issue as well as the other issues AND educated me on what to do with the plumbing IF I were to rent out the house vs. selling the house. This guy was AMAZING!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this guy to come out and do ANY work on ANYONE's home.

After cleaning the drain, Chris called in a restoration crew to help with disposing of things that had been ruined. Jose (2847) and his crew came and did what I'm SO glad I didn't have to do. He took out carpeting, took down parts of walls and doors that had soaked in the sewage, he cleaned items that could be salvaged, and he thoroughly cleaned the floors. He left some fans, filters and even a mold-killing UV filter over the weekend and it completely killed the smell. The house will still need repair of the damaged areas, but as for Roto Rooter they did the job completely and they did it very well. Thank you for putting my family at ease and helping in this trying time.

Tim did all the work he said he would do. He laid down tarps to protect the floor and cleand up the area he had been working before he left. The whole thing took about two hours which was about $250 per. hour. So I think its pretty pricey but it was an emergency on a Saturday night. Also when you have sewerage on your floor on a Saturday night you don't really shop around. I will shop around if I do this on a regular basis as Tim suggested.

The technician was very professional, explaining to me the details of the problem.. When he told me that there were part(s) that were needed to complete thejob, I thought that meant that I would have to reschedule, but he told me that he could get the parts the same day. I said that would be ok, so he left, got the parts, came back within a half-hour or so., and completed the job...sooner than I thought. I would rate this tech as (H.R.), highly recommended. Waited from two to six for my first requested appointment. No one showed. Service was provided two days later. The technician - Lee - was very thorough and professional.

We have no outside access and he worked using the access from our crawl space. The work was done professionally, efficiently and very clean. We woulld use this service defnitely again.

Recently returned from holiday travel to find the garbage disposal not working. Worse was the fact that it impacted the dishwasher. So now I'm washing all of my dishes by hand for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. Not a good place to be. I received an email offering me a $75 discount on any plumbing service and best of all a link so that I could make an appointment electronically. The appointment was made. The plumber worked with us to ensure that there was no blockage in the plumbing preventing the dishwasher from working. However, the garbage disposal was shot. He got us a new disposal, installed it and now my kitchen is back to working. Just in time since the boys 3 and 6 were cooking dinner that night. They have a tendency to dirty a lot of dishes. So thank you technician 1882DEX for getting us up and running again.

The service was unbelievable. When you call a plumber you are always unsure because you hear the horror stories. I was out when my wife called and said we had a main water valve leaking. I rushed home and sure enough. My best friend used roto rooter many times and gave me the number. I called and the appt lady was great. She asked me when I wanted to have it fixed and I said asap. She said, "No problem." About 1 and a half hours later Justin (employee 2623) showed up. Very nice guy. Very professional. You can tell he takes his job seriously and wants to fix the problem. He went down and assessed the damage. He told me that I needed to call the city of Naperville to come shut off the main water at the b box. I called up Naperville and they said it'll be a hour before they come out. I told Justin and he said "No problem. I will wait and starts preparing." I thought he was not going to stay but he did. He fixed both valves and rechecked his work and rechecked it again. He took his time and made sure it was done correctly. He cleaned up his mess and left. This guy is fantastic. I have his name and employee number. I will be requesting him all the time. The price was set at $465 but he found a coupon for me and charged me $425.....for both valves. Aqua tech wanted to charge $750.

The job went well. He explained what he was going to do clearly. I have used the washing machine since the repair and there has been no more flooding.

Bill (#2986) was Plumber that showed - was extremely helpful. I called on Sunday afternoon in hopes for immediate service, but had to take noon the following day (asked for earlier)? Bill called first thing, and said he could be at address at 8 am! He showed up on time, was very aware and mindful of wearing booties in house. The clogged drain took 1.5 hours to work through, but Bill was able to clean it perfectly. Thank you very, very much.

Technician Justin S. (2623) showed up when the scheduled technician's vehicle became disabled. He quickly assessed the problem and went out to buy parts. He returned and completed the job in under 90 minutes.

The sewer backed up all over my laundry room, kitchen and bathroom about 8:00 PM Saturday night. I called several 24 hour companies and no one could get here until Sunday. Roto-Rooter gave me a 8:00-11:00 AM window for Sunday. They called Sunday morning at 9:30 AM to let me know someone would be along as soon as possible and 11:13 AM to inform me that someone would arrive within a 1/2 hour. The wonderful Michael LaBoy arrived about 11:30 AM. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He worked diligently to clear the pipe and made sure the water flow was good before he left. He very kindly explained we likely have a larger issue and is sending out a Field Supervisor to camera inspect the line. The cost was $435 and that included the camera inspection plus repeat service if the problem repeats within six months. I'm very satisfied with the service and will use them again.

I got ripped off by these guys. The plumber came out and claimed to have "rodded out my sewer line to the city connection." A flat out untrue statement -- He never even made it out of the house (I watched him the entire time.). They never did the work they claimed to and charged me $340. Unless they call me back and offer a refund, I'll never use them again.

I have no complaints. The work was done well and quickly. I really appreciated the technician's suggestions to eliminate future problems. I would not hesitate to use their services again in the future.

Pete and his associate were wonderful and treated me and my father in law with the utmost respect. I was very pleased with them and their work. Granted, it was slightly pricey, but it was well-worth the great work they had done.

Claude #2939 He was very nice and patient in his explanation of the job, he explained what was needed and he showed me what he was doing, I felt very confident that he knew what he was doing. I would highly recommend him and Roto Rooter to my neighbors and friends. Danny was very professional in describing the problem with the feed out to the street and what had to be done. Initially it was thought to be in the city main pipe. But we had the city come out and determined the problem was toward the house. Than Danny contacted Adam Bell to come out with his camera. The problem was found to be a seriously clogged pipe 5 feet outside the house. They were able to clear the pipe somewhat. But I have contracted with Roto-Rooter to excavate outside to clear the clog permanently and install a sleeve. Also I have arranged them to professionally clean the water and sewage from the basement. All of the people were very professional and explained every step.

Service was excellent, timely and incredibly professional. I called at 11:00 am, they quoted a service tech would be here within 3 hours, they arrived in just over n hour. Our Tech was Giovann tech #2910. We was pleasant and professional. He was sure to wear soft cloth covers on his shoes and well as the rodding machines wheels, tarps were used to cover the folding area near they sink. Given it was Thanksgiving Day I excepted a premium rate since it was a holiday, Giovann advised that they charge a flat rate for rodding no matter what day or time. He could not have been more pleasant. Upon completing the work he was sure to clean the entire area and it looked as if he had never been here less the water in the sink. I would fully recommend this service provider.

The technician Art #1713 arrived promptly, on short notice on Sunday. He worked at least 5 hours, very hard, missed a family dinner, had to try three different methods, and still charged me a flat rate. Cleaning plugged sewer pipes really is the messiest job I can think of. But he smiled the whole time, and made absolutely sure it was perfect, testing many times. He stayed late, did not charge overtime ( and this was on a Sunday). And in the end he gave me a $40 discount. Really, he was perfect, very capable. Very good.
