Description of Work: Phoenix did a great job working with the insurance company to get a new roof installed on our house. Some of the work they did was a little sloppy and rushed, but they did come back and fix the issues.

Description of Work: I had a roof leak. Ended up being WAY more work than I expected for the price. Guy really knew what he was doing. I was very happy. Been almost a year and everything is holding up well. When I can afford to replace the roof I will definitely be calling Phoenix again.

Thanks Captain but I called you to look at things that an inspector said to check out. He claims he didnt know what the inspector was refering to. Poof there went 90 bucks for 15 minutes of walking around...

Description of Work: This was supposed to be a roof maintainance coupon. I have no known leaks, but my roof is at least 35 years old, so I wanted an inspection so I could know if it was in need of replacement. The first time the rep came he asked if I had a leak. I explained what I wanted done. He had no ladder with him and noted that the roof was steeper than he expected. He left and said he would be back. |I called after a week and said I would be out of town for 10 days but he could come back while I was gone. I returned and had no news from him. After 2 more weeks without word I contacted him and he said he had a death in the family and had been out of town. He came back again a week later and said he wanted another person to come with him to look at it. |A week later he returned at dusk and said he could not get hold of the other fellow. He brought a ladder and climbed up the roof himself and took a few pictures and explained what he found. He said it definitely needed to be replaced. We discussed potential costs and gave me a ball park figure of $10000. I said I wanted a written estimate detailing what was wrong and what they would exactly do, cost of materials, etc. He said I would get one. It is now 1 week later and still counting but still no estimate. | |It seemed as if he had no idea to begin with as to why he had been contacted to begin with. (The coupon offer I took.) This has been dragging on since the start of September. I don't doubt the roof is at the end of its life but there is no way I would hire them to do the work. I would have no roof for months if this is the way the company works.

Description of Work: Originally they never contacted me until I filled out the Angie's list "have them contact me". They called me two hours later and came by a couple days later. He looked at the roof but did not do anything due to possible rain. Called me a week later to set an early morning time to come by. Called an hour after the time he was supposed to be at the house to say due to the frost he was going to come by later when the roof had time to dry out. He did show up and took care of all the minor problems we had. So, overall some problems with scheduleing but the work was completed to my satisfaction and I would probably use them again.

+ -1 morePhoenix came out to inspect the area and determine what was causing a small roof leak. The person that came out was friendly and professional, and he was good to give me alternatives to fixing some gutter flashing (suggested we could have just have our maintenance person do the job). He also answered my various roof questions. He temporarily covered the area in question until we could have it repaired, and it held through several bad rainstorms! The person came out on July 1, 2011, and my only complaint was that he then went on vacation for over a week, and my calls to the person he said to contact were not returned, or were returned very late, and he didn't have knowledge of the issue. It would have been nice for the guy who came out to let me know that he would be going on vacation, and then I would have not wasted my time trying to set up the repair until "my guy" came back. Ultimately, however, the person who came out to make the repair did a good job and the patch has held without any problems. I would call Phoenix again for additional roof repair if needed.

+ 0 moreIt all went very well. They were on time and did an excellent job. It was all done in one day. It went exactly how they said it would. The inspection went very well, they were very professional. The roofers were at my house ahead of schedule on the day I got my roof. The work was done on time, the crew were very professional. They did the roof and cleaned every bit of the mess up before they left. The next day the contracter came out to check the work out and find out if I was satisfided with the work. I have more work that needs doing and I will be using this company.
