Modern Restoration Inc.

Description of Work: We would not use this provider in the future and is in the process of filing a complaint with Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practice. We were extremely dissatisfied with Modern Restoration Inc. In our last conversation with Mr. Kim, the representative for that company, it was agreed upon that additional projects needed to be done to complete our contract with them. The projects that needed to be completed were to Install New Roof Vents/Finish the installation of the 4" down spouts by cutting 4 in holds in the gutter/Install the metal gutter guard as was agreed on in contract. This conversation was in July 2015, however know one ever came to complete the project. In August 2015 the representative from our Insurance company, sent us a letter that indicated that they had received correspondence from Modern Restoration Inc., and also a certificate of completion form they said that Modern Restoration Inc. sent to them. At that time the Insurance company also sent us a check for the balance of the payment. We immediately informed the insurance company of the dilemma. We were advised to hold the check until work is completed. Effort to contact this company has been unsuccessful. We have not been able to contact anyone from that company. January 2016 we received a letter indicating that the balance must be paid in 15 days from the date of the letter or they will proceed to file an Illinois Mechanic Lien against our property. To add insult to injury, we later found that the material that was used to replace the siding was not as good of quality to what was originally on our property. Do you have another address for this company? The certified letter that we sent indicate that they have moved and did not leave a forwarding address. I will include it in our correspondence to Illinois Attorney General Office. Unfortunately, we have not had a pleasant experience with this company!!!!!! Alfreda
