Mike was good up to the actual carpet job. We had issues finding the right carpet and the first delivery was the wrong color but these were not Mike's fault. The place he got the carpet also charged him extra tax but he did stick to his original estimate. The problem came during the carpet job. First Mike was late for the install and the carpeting took over 5 hours (for 64 yards) to complete due to Mike only bringing one other helper. Some places the carpet was not secured to the tack strip well. He also did not cleanup after much. Carpet scraps were left in 3 locations in the house. Once I vacuumed the room I found a number of places where there were frays (at least 3). If he had cleaned up he would have seen these and been able to fix them. Also, the staple job on the platforms was poor. I ended up redoing them all myself.

If you're looking for a fancy-dressing, smooth talker, you won't find him here. But you will find an old-fashioned, absolutely honest, hardworking owner who stays involved in every aspect of the job and bends over backwards for his customers. Mike left several samples with us so we could think about it at our own pace - no pressure. When we decided on a different style, he came again with new samples. When we chose a carpet, it was here and installed four days later. Mike does not subcontract the installation. He is on the job, cutting the carpet himself and making sure things are done right. He measures as exactly as possible so the customer buys only the carpet that is really needed (we got a quote from another company who measured our area as 26 square yards more than Mike - we would have paid for all that extra!). His prices are more than fair, his work ethic is fantastic, and the end result is quality. I recommend him to anyone, any time.

Mike was upfront, no pressure sales and gave us the best quote. Mike also had the better selection of carpet that we went with. Very polite crew, timely, cleaned up, service was on time, he returned all calls immediately and answered questions. One error in type of carpet we selected and that did change the quote, miscommunication.

MIKE IS AN INDEPENDENT CARPET INSTALLER. HE CAN ORDER ALMOST ANY CARPETING AND DOES THE COMPLETE INSTALLATION. HIS PRICES ARE MUCH CHEAPER THAN ANYBODY ELSE WE CONTACTED - $200 CHEAPER THAN THE CHEAPEST QUOTE WE RECEIVED. WHILE THIS WAS A VERY SMALL JOB FOR HIM, HE WAS VERY THOROUGH AND KEPT US INFORMED THE WHOLE TIME. HE IS FRIENDLY, AND THE INSTALLATION WAS DONE QUICKLY AND ALL DEBRIS REMOVED. HE WAS REFERRED TO US FROM TWO OTHER FRIENDS WHERE HE HAD CARPETED THEIR WHOLE HOUSE.
