Handyman 4 Hire

Wayne and his associate did an amazing job! My deck was power washed each year by an independent individual and I thought he did a good job until I saw what could be done. the amount of dirt that came up from my deck was incredible. Wayne and his associate did an unbelievable job cleaning the deck and then staining it - it was like new again! Wayne repaired the water leaks in my roof and my downstairs family room and repaired/repainted the trim in my kitchen and ceiling. It looks like there was never a problem and I have had no leaks since then. One of the leaks was supposed to be resolved by another vendor and it still leaked. Wayne has a way to looking at what needs to be fixed in a very logical and thoughtful manner resulting in the 'right' fix every time! He thoroughly thinks through the cause of the problem and then works to prevent it from happening in the future. He also fixed my storm door so the lock worked and it closed properly saving me money on purchasing a new door. Wayne has done a lot of work for me over the past 6+ years including bathroom remodeling and reconstruction. He is great to work with and always has the best interest of his clients in mind when taking on s job. He's fantastic and I would highly recommend him for any remodeling or home repairs.

The owner Robert Omelson was with us every step of the way texting us meeting with us and sending us pictures. We were working under a tight time frame because I needed this unit rented. The work his crew did was great and Robert was right there every step of the way to make sure the work was top notch. I will not hesitate to call on him again for my next project. I felt like he was one of the family. In one word AWSOME!

Worker was prompt but got stain on the walls and varnish on bathroom sink.

Brad Sikora is fantastic. He was prompt and very detail oriented and explains everything to you. He is a perfectionist with his work and the finished product shows it.

I've used Wayne for many different jobs over the past 13 years. He's a top notch professional that knows what he's doing. He is very thorough, explains in detail what he is going to do and knows how to do things the correct way. I trust him thoroughly. His prices aren't the cheapest, but they're not the most expensive either. My experience in the past is "you get what you pay for"...and I'm willing to pay slightly more to get the job done right!

On the first day, Wayne and his men discovered that the shower base would not line up with the existing drain pipe, a new drain had to be created by drilling through the concrete slab. After a new drain was installed everything else fell into place. Rerouting the water lines, run new electrical wiring, installing a sealed canned shower light, running a new exhaust fan duct to the outside wall. Installed 2x4's for a new drywall ceiling. My favorite part of the remodel was how the new shower stall turned out. I went from a 30" x 30 " corner stall to a 30" x 5' stall with 2 corner caddies. The surround turned out fantastic with the double sliding glass doors. It was great working with Wayne and his crew. Wayne responded quickly to my emails and calls before and during the remodel.

They did an excellent job. The actual painter was very meticulous and I like that. He even gave me some suggestions without trying to sell me something. He did a couple of things without checking anything so it was good. He came to lighten up the high ceiling that he didn’t have to do but he did it.

I had a broken faucet It was leaking ect. I was instructed to buy a new faucet so I did and wayne came to my apartment in the city. He said most clients call from his area but I insisted that I wanted him to come. I got a referral from a trusted friend who said he did affordable trustworthy work and was nice and easy going. He showed up on time brought a kit of tools I had never seen before got right to work. I was surprised at how quick and efficient he was. As a person he was personable easy to communicate with. I got the feeling that he was super smart and was capable of any project I had. He talked to me for a while and made sure I was totally happy with the work. I was told it guaranteed and its been close to a year and I have not had any problems with the work. I recently called him about my kitchen and wanted a quote. He mentioned that I can use his refacing technique to make my old cabinets look brand new with out spending 30,000. He told I could keep the existing shell and replace the doors and use a laminate of real wood to cover the rest I would do if for half the cost. I also asked about retiling my small bathroom and he had a price I could afford for that as well. Most fix it men or guys are not so professional but wayne is well educated and really shows professionalism. I would 100% recommend his services.

Wayne and his guys are competent, professional and their quality of work is great. Their prices are reasonable as well.

He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The job was done perfectly. I had other quotes but he was much more reasonable. I've been using the ladder and there's been no problem at all. I would use him again.

We knew this was a small job, billed hourly. I had agreed to schedule on his free time. Arrived with the proper tools and wall anchors, went to work quickly. I had assembled the awning in advance. Checked for level vs. house, door interference, etc. Awning was up in an hour. Looks good.

The extreme cold caused our back door to buckle slightly from the heaving of the driveway onto the frame. We could not lock or adequetely close or lock either the door or storm door, which is not good when it's -10. I called Handyman 4 Hire and they came out within 24 hours. They quickly identified the issues and made repairs in about 60 minutes, so both our doors were operational. We were very happy with the service and I am having Handyman 4 HIre out to do other fixes around the house.

It is perfect. You can't tell that there was ever a problem. Even the paint matches perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased.

I have used Handyman 4 hire to do many projects including kitchen and bath remodels. Wayne does just about everything. If he's unable to, he knows someone good who can. I trust his opinion and he's always given me good advice. I have never been unhappy with any of his work. He installed a new toilet, put in new ceramic tile in kitchen and bath, installed new kitchen faucet, installed new tub surround with the fixers, and new windows. He was great, very reliable, professional and on time. I've referred him to my family and friends and they were just as happy with his services. Their hourly fee was good for the area. They do charge more for the first hour to cover their travel costs. Given that the bases fees are good, that is not bad if you need the handyman for a number of hours, but may not be such a great deal for a quick job. The woman who answered the phone was very responsive and helpful. I had some additional questions that she felt would be best addressed by one of the handymen. At first the handyman did not get back to me, but the owner provided a good explanation for the missing message. He was so apologetic and sincere about trying to make it right. I thought that was very classy. I haven't yet rescheduled, but plan to do so in the near future. I do like that they also do minor plumbing and electrical work - some handymen do not those things. I thought I was going to have to call a plumber, electrician, and handyman for a number of small jobs, but I found out with Handyman 4 Hire, that I could do all of these things with one service provider.

He charges by the hour so he worked slowly and charged me a lot of money. He was to return the next day after the paint dried to put a Duet shade back up. He did not return nor did he respond to my calls to ask when he would return to put my shade back up. I had to hire someone else to do it. I don't recommend this unprofessional man.

They inspected our sump pump and back-up system and found it to be in good working order.

My husband is sufferring from Dementia that has affected his motor skills leaving him wheelchair bound and extremely difficult to move. Because of this, it was critical I convert our downstairs bathroom to make it wheelchair accessible and easier for his caregivers and me to use - and this needed to be done quickly! I called Wayne because I had used him to do extensive work/remodeling on other areas of my house and I was extremely happy with the outcome. Wayne spent a great deal of time with me mapping out what needed to be done, provided me with a highly competitive quote, and based on my needs was able to begin work in a short period of time! They demolished and expanded the size of the bathroom usng an adjacent closet,repaired a water leak in the ceiling, moved my toilet to allow for more access, rebuilt the walls, installed a new vanity and reinstalled my old toilet, rebuilt the floor so it is zero clearance to the shower area (no ledge), installed the wall and floor tiles which was no easy job given the need to pitch the floor toward the drain, installed all of the new fixtures, installed a new medicine cabinet,and even hung my pictures to finsih the job! In addition, they built an amazing double closet in the adjacent bedroom that has provided me with much needed storage space! A definite stress reducer. The work that Wayne and Carlos have done for me over the years has always been outstanding! They are thoughtful, professional, careful, precise, dependable and great problem solvers! Construction - especialy major construction on older homes - always comes with unanticipated challenges. I have yet to see a problem they cannot solve. They are not just my "handymen' and "contractor" - they are a life saver! They have always been there for me - many times on short notice, and they have always delivered high quality work.

The serviceman from Handyman 4 Hire is a very particular guy, he spent a lot of time, and I don't think it's expensive. He did a lot of the work at his place in the garage because we didn't have the room. A lot of the pieces of molding were big, long, and they needed preparation before installation. We've used Handyman 4 Hire for the last couple of years and we plan to have him in the next couple of months to finish out the molding for the bottom first floor.

So far so good I've used them a couple of times. Overall is a pretty good experience. I thought it was little expensive. I think they came when they said they would come and the work was done as agreed upon.

Overall very good. I was very happy with all of the work I had done. There were a couple of problems along the way but they were rectified to my satisfaction. There were two colors for the rec room walls which I wanted on different wall faces throughout the room. One wall ended up the wrong color, but his workman fixed the error promptly. On another occasion, when the bathroom faucet was replaced, he had trouble removing a corroded connection and the basin and vanity top were damaged by a tool. (The sink was completely cracked beyond repair.) He made everything right by replacing the basin and countertop with new materials at no charge to me. He was very accomodating of any changes I made along the way. Very pleasant to work with!

Wayne and his partner were great guys to work with. I needed to have drywall replaced asap and while other contractors quoted me lower prices, they were the only ones that were able to come in immediately. While they were not able to complete everything I wanted, like replacing the piping to the kitchen sink, sanding, and painting the drywall due to another appointment they had after mine, I'm fairly satisfied with the work they did and their responsiveness.

He came over during a holiday weekend and he is very reliable, trustworth and provided excellent service.

With an Angies Deal I had the contractor do a couple of small jobs for me in 1/2 day. He did a great job, got the work done. Pleasant person to work with.
