We needed a power panel replaced and didn't know where to turn. I friend recommended G&I Electric and we are so happy they did! They are so nice and responsible! They answered every question I had and he even came back when I had misunderstood something to make sure the job was done right. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to a friend! I recently had all new electrical in my kitchen and laundry area installed through our contractor. Despite multiple promises that this would not occur, our lights continued to dim when our dryer kicks on. That electrician came back, told me it is what it is. In the kitchen, a four switch panel was installed, but one switch was not connected to anything. This caused me to have to walk across the kitchen to turn out all the lights when leaving the house. My inquiry into whether we could connect that switch to something was not met with a positive response by the contractor. Mark came in and looked everything over suggesting that we contact ComEd to upgrade the service from the post to our house as the wire is quite old and has been spliced numerous times. Since our service was upgraded from 100amp to 200amp box, this makes sense. Mark said if that did not solve the issue, then he could come back and retrace what the other electricians did. For me, it was reassuring that he went with the least expensive and least invasive plan first. Then he and his assistant spent a little time pulling wire and replacing the switch so I no longer have to walk across the kitchen to turn out the center lights. Nor do I have to spend time trying to turn on a light from a switch that doesn't work. While this was not a big issue as my home is not huge, it was very irritating that the other electricians failed to do this. Mark requested a dustpan to clean up the very small amount of dust created. I had two friend's refer Mark to me and I plan to refer others to him.

Gand I electric has done work for us in the past. Like in the past, Mark did a fantastic job! installed timers and a light fixture. Quality work, fair price and responsive. I would highly recommend Mark and Stacey.

The duo arrived on time. Only needed to be told once, what was to be done. They started right in. It was heavy work. There was 3/4" concrete over the dry wall on the walls and on the ceilings. They rerouted wires, pulled new wires, added switches, relocated switches, relocated ceiling openings for fans. They were conversational, happy and efficient.

I had a new garage installed, but the electrical system did not meet city codes, after trying to contact the builders I called Gand I. They came out the next day, offered me two possible changes to meet the codes and I chose the less expensive method. It passed the inspection.

They were on time, fairly priced, easy to work with, had a professional attitude, and had quality workmanship.
