Fratello's Construction

I signed a contract with Fratello's Construction LLC on August 9th, 2018 which consisted of a down payment for the remodeling of my powder room and hallway bathroom for $5200. The down payment consisted of $1000 for the powder room and $4200 for the hallway bathroom. The powder room remodeling work started on Friday, November 2nd. I agreed with the contractor that the hallway bathroom work would not start until the powder room work was completed. There were no issues the first couple weeks of November as progress was being made on the powder room. Work was being performed in a timely manner based on the availability of the contractor and myself. But since Thanksgiving there has been a slow down in work and the contractor has made multiple excuses of why he could not show up to do work on a particular day. Sometimes the excuse was they had to complete exterior work on a different project before winter starts. Other times the contractor himself was sick or his worker was sick. I understand things happen and sometimes work cannot be completed on a particular day due to unforeseen circumstances but there has been a serious problem with communication. I have wasted a number of vacation days from work waiting for the contractor to show up and they never do. I have to keep contacting the contractor before they finally tell me due to whatever reason they cannot come and work that day. This was ongoing until Wednesday, December 12th when I finally spoke with the contractor since no work had been performed since Friday, November 30th. He stated he was having health issues which is why work was not performed for the previous week. I was empathetic to the situation but we agreed that the work would resume on Tuesday, December 18th. I have contracted the contractor several times through email, text and phone to finalize the time but there has been a lack of response. Based on several other complaints on BBB/Porch website posted in Nov he has done this to others.

It went great. We have used Randy and Bob in the past and plan to use them again. Their estimates are reasonable and accurate. They are skilled, knowledgeable, and efficient. Enjoyed working with them.

Review - Fratello’s Construction, LLC Project - Bathroom remodeling We had a very satisfying experience with Fratello’s. We found them through Home Advisor along with several other contractors. They came out and did a very thorough examination of our single bathroom. We weren’t sure about all we wanted to do so we asked for an estimate that included a number of different options with individual prices. Of all the estimates we received theirs was the only one that gave us a detailed description and price for each option we were interested in. Because of their attention to detail in the estimate and their bottom line price we selected them to do our work. We selected all the options presented. It amounted to almost a complete redo of the bathroom except replacement of the sink/vanity. We selected tile and grout for the bathtub/shower walls and floor and a new medicine chest. We also selected a sliding shower bar which they customized with a shower head of our choice. The lighting was replaced and an exhaust fan added. All the walls were painted. New valves for the toilet and sink were added. The workmanship was excellent and they are flexible. They offered suggestions and solutions. They are very neat and considerate. Since this was our only bathroom that had to be taken into consideration over the course of demolition and construction, which they did. I can’t say enough about these folks. They are professionals, they are honest and they do good work. I couldn’t recommend them any higher.

Bob and Randy are great to work with. This was my first attempt at acting as general contractor for my own project. Bob and Randy provided some great insights on the work. An excellent job overall. These are quality individuals. They added real value to the project with their knowledge and skills.
