Description of Work: Clar Electric installed recessed lighting in the living room and family room of our new, replaced all of our old light fixtures, and did some other electrical work for our house before we moved in. They were professional, punctual, and did a fantastic job.

Description of Work: They were very responsive when I bought the voucher and accommodating to schedule the work on the weekend as I requested. They gave me a two hour appointment window. However, on the day the work was scheduled they could not even make it within the two hours. They did not inform me they were running late by calling me - they instead created a private message to me in Angie's list. That requires me to login and see the message or check my email. Normally contractors will CALL YOU. They came to my door one hour late and I did not use them. I am asking for a refund for the voucher I purchased.

Description of Work: Install an electric board heater and thermastate. The Dept. of Energy and the product manual say the heater should be inch from a rug. Clar Electric put it 3 in. above the rug and above the wooden baseboard. It looks tacky! They didn't want to take the time to remove the wooden baseboard. They want to do it fast and take their money and run. Mr. Clar refuses to do it right and continuously lies saying past sales representatives have told them to put it this high up. Initially I went along with his reasoning about fire concerns until I found out it was all lies and saw how badly it looks. He refuses to do the job right.

Thank you for the review. We explained to the member that for safety reasons the baseboard heater cannot be mounted close to the carpet. She understood that & agreed. After we left she e mailed with this issue & we again explained why the heater was mounted that way.
