I contacted Clar Electric to request a quote for installing recessed lighting in our kitchen. Jamie Clar returned my call quickly. We set up a time for him to stop by to estimate the project. He showed up as scheduled. He gave me some great suggestions as to what type of recessed lighting would work well in my kitchen. I received the project proposal by email that evening. The price was right on target, very fair. The installation was scheduled for May 4th at 8AM. Throughout this process Jamie was very responsive to any questions I had. May 4th, Phil and Tom, with Clar Electric, arrived on time. They were friendly, professional, and neat. Drop cloths were used to protect the kitchen surfaces and floor. They came up with a great layout for the six recessed lights. The quality of the work they did was excellent. The new lighting is fantastic! Our once dark kitchen is now bright and cheerful. I am extremely pleased with the new lighting and how smoothly the project went. I would recommend Clar Electric to anyone with lighting or electrical needs.

This is my third experience with Clar Electric, and once again Jamie did not disappoint. He is reliable, trustworthy (I wasn't even home when he started this work) and straightforward when it comes to any questions that I have about what should be done. He even provided guidance about how I should maintain the gutter heating cable that the previous owner of our home left us with and that I should ask a roofer to inspect the cable. I never want to take any shortcuts with something as important as the electrical work I have done on my house, and Jamie wouldn't allow that to happen. Thanks again Jamie.

Jamie called me back witin 5 minutes and asked me questions and was able to determine that it was a faulty fixture, not wiring in the house. I was grateful to save the time and trouble of a visit and appreciated his prompt response to my inquiry. He was very nice and professional too.

We were having a problem with an outlet. We called Jamie to make an appointment. It was late on Monday night. He called back promptly to say he was finishing up a job and could be over shortly. He arrived about 20 minutes later and had the problem fixed in no time. He felt the repair was minor and did not charge us. Because of his work ethic, Jamie fixed the problem in a timely fashion, and saved us from having to take time off of work.

Jamie came out to provide an estimate, and determined it would be best to lay a new line instead of digging up the driveway to repair the old line (which was build using old materials anyway). He then returned a week later with a couple guys to do the work. They dug a channel in our yard for the electrical conduit, laid it in, had the inspector check it out, and then replaced the dirt and grass. Everything went according to plan and we haven't had any issues. Jamie is very polite and professional, which I appreciated, and so were his guys. No surprises, and everything on schedule.

Jamie is great to work with. An honest, professional tradesman from start to finish. I used Jamie previously to do some work on my condo. That experience was so positive that I didn't consider using anyone else to have the electrical work updated on my new home. It's comforting to know that you can find individuals like Jamie who quickly earn your trust. I now consider Jamie my go-to guy for all things electrical and won't consider using anyone else going forward.

Jamie Clar is delightful to work with. He is a fount of knowledge on a variety of topics. I found that I could discuss a number of other issues with him, and he gave excellent advice. He immediately sizes up a situation, perceives problems, as well as their solutions. The work went exactly as he had explained it; his crew was punctual, clean, professional. In the past, I had used other firms that were also highly rated, but found that all too often, a successful firm grows beyond its ability to maintain quality, by hiring help without the same standards as the original folks. Clar Electric is not like this; it is deliberately kept small, with a very few well chosen individuals to maintain quality. A real find for electrical work.

They were on time, came prepared, ran out for one part to hardware store but clearly that didn't change the price.

Jamie and his team did a great job. They explained very clearly each step of the process they were doing. Ensured that I knew what they were doing if I approved. For example, the fan in the bathroom would have to be a little off centered due to the where the wood panels were etc. They were very professional and very pleasant to work with.

My Son was trying to install a track for pendant lighting and ran into an issue with not having enough power in the existing wiring. He called Jaime, left a message, and received a call back within a half hour. Jaime said that he would be in the area that morning and would come by to see what the problem was. He called when he was on his way from another job. When he arrived, he was polite and courteous. He looked at the issue, went into the attic and found the problem immediately. He was able to fix everything quickly without causing a mess, even thought there were 3 children eating lunch near where he was working. Within a half hour of arriving, everything was fixed and running properly. THANK YOU JAIME!!!!!!!!! Will definitely call him if there are any other issues and will recommend him.

This company provided a thorough and detailed estimate, identified and resolved potential issues, worked around our busy schedule (two working parents) for estimate visits, and did hiqh quality and clean work. Communication was great from start to finish. All work was done in a timely manner, well within their estimate. Work was completed with us away from home. A month later, everything is solid.

I had installed a new light ceiling light fixture, and the light would not turn on. Jamie responded promptly to my call, and scheduled an appointment for the following Saturday. He arrived on time, fixed the ceiling light and installed the wall fixtures, and was a pleasure to work with. He was personable and professional, and took care of all of the issues. I will definitely call Clar Electric for all of my future electrical needs.

I found Clar Electric on Angie's list at 10:30pm at night. I emailed, thinking I'd get a response the next day. Actually, they responded quickly at 11:15pm saying they would call me the next day. They called promtly the next morning, said they would be in the area that afternoon and could do the repair then. He arrived at the specified time and completed the job quickly and accurately. I am very happy with the services performed and will use Clar Electric in the future.

Eveyone showed up on time, the work was done within 90 minutes and no mess was left behind. They even put the old unit in my outdoor trash container with the box going into the recycle bin.

Excellent work - Jamie Clar met me on time, then we reviewed the work required. First he repaired an outside light fixture, then replaced 2 more. Inside, we had a closet light fixture that we thought needed replacement. However, Jamie discovered that the real problem is the switch, not the light itself. He quickly repaired that, then fixed another light fixture in our kitchen. All the work was completed in less than 2 hours. We will absolutely call Clar Electric again for any and all electrical work. Jamie was a pleasure - took time to explain and did the work properly. And he was fun to talk with as well!

As always, the service that we received from Clar Electric was friendly, prompt and professional. Jamie returned our call within the day and was able to perform the services requested within the week (as it was not an emergency situation). We have used Clar Electric in the past and will continue to do so for future needs.

They were great. They did all the work professionally and properly. Jamie and his crew were easy to work with, and communicated everything clearly. They even threw in an outlet that I forgot to get for them, a recessed power outlet, and didn't charge me for it. Part of the job - attaching the Cat5e to the wall plate - turned out to be more difficult than it should be, because the wall plate I bought for the Cat5e needed to be manually wired. But again, they didn't charge me extra, even though it took them a lot more time than they had anticipated. No complaints at all, they just did the work. I would highly recommend Jamie and Clar Electric for any electrical work you may need.

I called Jamie, left a message and he immediately called me back. He showed for the estimate when he promised and delivered the service earlier than expected. I had a terrible experience trying to get this work done by another electrician, but Jamie came through. I would recommend him to others and would use his company's services again in the future.

Jamie and team (a total of 3) arrived on the scheduled day and immediately began working on what had been discussed. The team was very professional, and polite. They worked quickly, effieciently and kept the work area clean. I am pleased with all that they did and will definitely use Clar Electric in the future.

Very professional and clean. Also they had availability sooner than other electricians I called. Company has a good reputation among people I know. That did come with a noticably higher pricetag than I'm used to from prior work with electricians.
