Fantastic. Jaime and his guys were excellent. Jamie came to the house to do the estimate and we had a good conversation. Then his guys came to do the work a few weeks later. The new can lighting looks excellent in our kitchen. I love that we have power in front of our house (outside). Everything was done very professionally and we couldn't be happier. I would absolutely recommend Clar to others in the future.

Jamie was great. I turned out to have an easy thing to fix but since I had him on site, I had him educate me on some electrical questions I have had for a bit. He walked me through options and helped me through my thought process. Didn't push for anything unnecessary and seemed very knowledgeable. As my electrical needs expand, I feel comfortable reaching out to him for work.

Based on other reviews, I purchased a deal with Clar Electric - our first on Angie's List. Within a few hours of purchasing the deal, Jamie contacted me asking for more information on what exactly we wanted done. He also promptly scheduled a time to come out. He was very accommodating to our work schedule, too. Based on my description of our problem, Jamie knew exactly what our issues were. He quickly replaced our dimmer switch in our den to eliminate an annoying buzzing noise that we have had. We had also noticed a flare / "arc" with our kitchen monorail in the last few weeks. We stopped using the lights immediately and upon inspection, Jamie realized we needed a new connector / cable. Since I had previous awful experiences with where we bought the lights, he graciously agreed to work with his vendor to order the part. Within two weeks, the part was in and Jamie was installing it. Our lights now all work in condo without any buzzing or any "arcs". Jamie was a pleasure to work with and very personable. He was very knowledgeable and we would not hesitate again to call him.

I purchased a deal for an electrical service call. I received an email literally within minutes of my purchase to schedule my service call. Jamie arrived on time and promptly fixed the fixture. This was a positive experience from start to finish.

Went extremely well, his 2 electricians showed up on time and did a thorough walk through. They were very good about walking through any questions with me and offering suggestions. They went above and beyond by making sure my new fixtures had the right size knockout for the whips, even though I was installing those myself. I've enjoyed the new power and lighting in my workshop ever since! Great service and value, will use again.

I put in a request on line and paid for the special with my credit card. Mr. Clar called within 24 hours to discuss the problem and set an appointment. He was genial, prompt, courteous, and very professional. He also carried parts with him for the job so there was no delay to go get parts. While sharing information on the status of our electrical system Mr. Clar seemed knowledgeable and honest about our needs. I plan to have additional electrical work and Mr. Clar is number one on my list.

We had two ceiling fans we wanted to switch. I called and received a quote of $200, and we were able to schedule service for the next week. He was very pleasant and friendly and responsive on the phone. He actually arrived early, which is always wonderful. He wore shoe covers in the house. He told me when he saw what needed to be done that it would probably be even less than he had quoted as the job was easier than he had anticipated. Sure enough the job was done quickly and he only charged $100. He left everything clean and in perfect working order, and even answered an unrelated question about other electrical issues. I would use him again anytime we have need of electrical service, and wholeheartedly recommend him.

Jamie Clar came out quickly to look at the job. He was very professional and sent me the quote right away. After accepting the quote, he obtained required permit and the work was scheduled with Jamie doing his best to coordinate with my days off work. The two electricians who did the work were very professional and finished the job in a timely manner. Jamie scheduled an inspection from our Village for that same afternoon. Everything went smoothly. I highly recommend Clar Electric.

Jamie called and set up the appointment shortly after we purchased the deal. Very helpful and answered all our questions and gave ideas to complete our request. The day of the appointment he arrived in the time frame he mentioned and was a great to deal with. I would use him again if the need required an electrician. We are very pleased

Phil & Tom arrived on time and promptly got to work installing 6, 6" can lights in kitchen as well as a dimmer. They also removed the old fixture and capped the box. Very minimal patching needed(1 small hole made because of the plumbing in the ceiling due to Master bath above kitchen) . What a difference it made from the old fluorescent light! They also installed a new outlet and cable connection above fireplace. There was no patching needed at all because they ran a new pipe to run the electric from outside to create the new connections so mess at all to fix. I had multiple wires from TV and cable boxes running along and down the side of my fireplace and wall with no good way to hide them. It now looks clean and uncluttered and they did an awesome job!! Jamie stopped in to check the work. He was very nice and professional. I need more work done in the future and will definitely be hiring them again. Thanks for the upgrades!!

Jamie and his crew are true professionals. They arrived promptly as scheduled and explained to us the process. They helped us decide exact placement of the lights and made good recommendations (since they obviously know more than we do). They worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned everything up, and made sure everything worked before leaving. This is the second time we've used them for recessed canned lighting. They plan carefully to minimize the drywall cuts and thus the patchwork needed. Highly recommended and we will use them again.

We had a really great experience with Clar Electric. Jamie and his team were great. All work was performed as expected in replacing circuit box, reallocating wires and hanging light fixtures. We also had and electrical emergency with our furnace not operating, and Clar came out at 1AM to fix during the middle of a February cold winter day. We would use Clar Electric again.

I had previously hired another electrician and failed two village inspections. Jamie came in and gave a reasonable quote and his team did a great job cleaning up the violations and finishing the job. Jamie knows the codes of each of the various villages and I would highly recommend his services for anyone looking for electric work.

I bought the Angies List deal for 1 hour of service for $99 and scheduled it for about two weeks after purchase. Jamie took care of a number of small but annoying problems that we had just been living with for almost two years - in under an hour! I paid the initial $99 plus five bucks for a new socket. Makes me wish I'd called an electrician in MUCH sooner. I will definitely use Clar Electric for any services I need in the future.

I contacted Jamie to install a GCFI outlet in my bathroom. I was going to do it myself. but the wiring on the old one didn't seem to look the way the instructions described it (I had never installed one before). He emailed me back within an hour and suggested I call him. He talked me through the replacement and saved me the cost of him coming out. Pretty amazing! I will use him though. In the spring I will need him to do some electrical work. I can't wait to meet him and thank him for being so super!
