Could not use the service due to some schedule issues from my side. We will definitely use their services in future. I like their professionalism for providing required details and prompt reply.

They were nice, polite, and we will contact them again in the future for additional work.

I emailed Jamie and made an appointment for the following week. I saw how highly rated he was and decided to hire him. He gave me a two hour window appointment between 2 and 4 pm. I made arrangements to be at my house for the entire time window. He never arrived or contacted me, so I decided at 3:40 pm to email him and see what was holding him up. He responded at 3:54 pm in an email to tell me that he was just about to contact me and told me he was finishing up a job that ran long. He said he should be at my house in a little over an hour which would be a little after 5 pm. This would be one hour past the END of the two hour window he gave me. Being that Jamie had such high ratings in all categories I was very surprised that he would wait until 6 minutes before the END of the two hour window to contact me and this was only after I contacted him first. I have to wonder why he waited until the end of the two hour window to even make contact with me. He had my phone number. He had my email address. He could have easily called much earlier and kept me up to date. I had another appointment myself at 6 pm which was about half an hour from my home. I could have told him that maybe we should just reschedule. I waited at home until 5:40 pm. So from 3:54 until 5:40 I heard nothing from him. Again a simple phone call somewhere along the way could have resolved this problem. At 5:40 I finally left my home and sent him an email that I was having to leave my home and just to forget about the job. At 5:49 he apparently arrived at my home and I was not there so he emailed me to tell me that he had finally arrived. Now remember my appointment window was from TWO to FOUR pm. He of course had emailed me to tell me he would be arriving a little after 5 pm. Now at 5:49, almost two hours past the END of the two hour window he emails me that he has finally arrived and that he was unable to check his email while he was driving and that would be unsafe. I have to agree that yes that would be unsafe but again this is someone who has earned an A rating in PUNCTUALITY. I would think at some point he would have thought to maybe pull over and give me a quick call or email or maybe at least tell me when he actually left the job that was making him run late. I have to wonder how he has earned such a high rating in PUNCTUALITY after this experience.

We previously used the services of Clar Electric for several small projects in our home. When it came time for us to do a kitchen remodeling we selected Clar Electric to the electrical work. Before beginning the kitchen remodeling project in our home we spent a lot of time interviewing a number of contractors and planning the details of the kitchen remodeling project. We contracted with Clar Electric and we were very pleased with their work. Jamie Clar is very professional, punctual, and provided us with competitive pricing. His crew also exhibited the same professional and punctual behavior and with great attention to the details and doing quality work. We are considering other work in our home and, based on our experience to date with Jamie Clar and his crew, will definitely consider hiring them again. Jamie’s pricing was very competitive and no surprises. We highly recommend them.

Jamie did a great job. We scheduled via the Angieslist message platform. He showed up within the agreed to window and was done in about an hour. He showed us how to work everything before he left. Very pleased with his professionalism and overall service.

Jamie fixed our outdoor outlets two years ago. They were not properly sealed and water had gotten inside, destroying them. Jamie came out very quickly, replaced the outlets, and sealed them properly. We have not had any issues with them since. He was very professional and pleasant to work with, and so we had no hesitation in calling him this week when we lost power to one of the circuits in our kitchen. Again, Jamie came out within a few hours of our call and quickly tracked down the cause of the outage - a GFCI outlet that was hidden away and I had missed. He actually deduced where to find the outlet based on his knowledge of the electrical code and where the outlets ought to be. As it was a simple fix he declined any payment, which was generous considering his time in coming to investigate the problem. We would gladly hire Jamie in the future for more small fixes or larger electrical projects.

This is the second time I've used Clar Electric, and I have to say, I have been nothing but impressed! Jamie is extremely competent, asks for as much detail as possible up front to make the work shorter, and he is very professional. I know that it's a bit of a drive, but I hope that Clar Electric will always be available to help with my electrical needs.

Absolutely wonderful was very informative turned out to be a minor problem with a lightbulb he was very honest he could have told me it was a much bigger problem than what it was but he didn't do that much appreciated the honesty. He was on time actually earlier than what he said he was going to be he did the job quickly, and again all this was very much appreciated. Will definitely call him for future jobs.

The project went smoothly from start to finish. Jamie and his team were great to work with and very professional. Jamie responded quickly to all my emails and we will definitely be using him again.

I've used Jamie from Clar electric twice now. The first time, was on a weekend when my husband was out of town. I noticed what looked like a recent electrical fire by the AC unit to our duplex out back. The siding was melted and blackened. I called several electricians and all of them charged a hefty fee to come out and assess the problem emergently. I sent pictures to a few and they said I definitely need an electrician to come take care of the issue asap (overtime pay of course). I got ahold of Jamie and sent him the same pictures. He called me back and walked me through how to flip the circuit breaker to turn it off and cut off power to the AC unit to eliminate any danger. He didn't charge for this assistance and did it all over the phone. He was extremely patient with me (I have no experience with any of this and didn't even know where the circuit breaker was). I literally felt like he saved my life and my wallet and he saved me from an incredibly terrifying and stressful day. The second time we bought a service call through angie's list because our kitchen track lights stopped working. Jamie came over and figured out the dimmer was broken. He quickly replaced the dimmer and fixed the problem! He's extremely personable, knowledgeable, reliable, and just a great electrician to have take care of any electrical needs you may have. We feel so blessed to have found him!

Jamie was very communicative and responsive. He was punctual, competent and professional. I will use Clar again. Definitely a positive experience. His experience diagnosed our problem and resolved it in just one service call. A+

First contact with Clar Electric was in December, 2013. We had an electrical failure during preparation of a extended family (15 attending) Christmas dinner party. Not many people are willing to come out at night on a weekend and Jamie (the owner) did. He fixed the problem and educated us on what caused the failure. We've ended up having him rewire parts of our home. His services are priced fairly and he and his crew have always been punctual and professional.

He was in communication with me promptly after purchasing the deal. We scheduled an appointment time that worked perfectly with my schedule. He called before he came and was on time per the window of time he quoted. Is very professional and did a great job. I would definitely use them again and have already referred them to a friend.

The installation was done promptly and professionally. Mr. Clar advised us about fan position (higher or lower) and proceeded with efficiency. After unpacking the installation materials, Mr. Clar let us know that the fan we purchased had previously been, al least partially, installed. He advised us to photograph the indications of previous use in case there were any performance issues. The work was completed directly. The fan is solid, stable, and functions smoothly. We had a light problem in our place--not enough light, and we needed a recommendation on how to fix the problem. Jamie Clar came over and looked at the ceiling and advised us against cutting into the insulation. We had also needed two broken fans replaced, so Jamie suggested we might pick up some updated fans with LED lighting for a much cleaner and slightly brighter light. We told him the fans we were looking for, and he told us where to get them. After that everything went pretty smoothly. We ordered the fans and Jamie came out and installed them and set up the wall switches. Now we have two working fans and the light is much cleaner and clearer in our place. Jamie is also super friendly and personable.

Jamie showed up on time, installed the fan in a timely fashion, and cleaned up afterwards. Overall, did a great job. Would use him again.

jamie was almost two hours late than agreed .however he had notified that to us on e-mail,although calling would be a better idea. he was friendly, efficient and honest. he had a new replacement switch with him but he honestly concluded that our existing switch was miswired which he fixed it. he said our dishwasher did not need anything, simply someone had switched it off under the sink while replacing the faucet.. then he reviewed the fusebox satisfactorily.we were happy with the outcome.

Wonderful. We called on a Saturday afternoon, expecting to be in the queue for the following week, and Jamie was there within an hour! Always a happy, pleasant guy to work with. Will def continue to call him for all our electrical needs. Highly recommended!

This is the second time I had used Jamie for electrical services and he did a fantastic job installing my ceiling fan. I will always use Jamie for any future electrical projects.
