Earlier this week, half my kitchen's power went out. My breaker tripped but it never was able to go fully back in place and restore power. I called Jaime early that morning and he promptly returned my call and was able to come out later that day. He diagnosed the issue fast and had it resolved within 30 minutes (breaker replacement). Jaime is super prompt, informative and did high quality and quick work. I will absolutely use Jaime in the future as my go-to electrician.

Excellent. A quick replacement and everything is back running. The technician made it a point to explain how we need to be cautious with which devices are running in our kitchen based on how the appliances and outlets were setup. Very helpful

There were no additional charges to the big deal price. There were no issues with them. He did what I needed to get done.

The service went amazingly well. Jamie had great communication throughout the estimating process and leading up to the work being done. When he came out to provide an estimate, he spent a lot of time with us to understand the current project as well as other work we were planning for the future. He gave us advice on non-electrical aspects of the work (the plumbing) which turned out to be a great help. Overall, he probably spent an hour for the visit on the estimate, which was provided at no charge. In terms of the actual work, he needed a couple weeks before his crew could come out. The work required two days to complete, as expected, and the two employees who showed up were both exactly on time both days. One person told us he had been working for the company for 31 years, and the other person was his nephew. They did everything perfectly from my perspective. They laid down tarps where they would be walking and working, as not to make a mess. They also wore booties over their shoes, just in case. We did a walk-through before the job started, so they could show me exactly where they planned to put new outlets and switches. They measured the heights from the floor of other outlets and switches in the house, so they could make the new ones consistent. They also asked about the orientation for the new outlets in each room. I asked them questions about the load the new circuit should take from the appliances that we planned to use for the renovation, as well as questions about code for how much space we needed to leave around the circuit breaker panel, and they gave the correct answers right away (I already knew the answers before asking). They were very clean while performing their work, and they left the house as clean as when they arrived. For the portion of work where they were rewiring the laundry room, they had to move switches that had been on a wall that we were tearing down. Once they moved their wiring, they offered to remove the remaining studs that the electric boxes had been attached to, as well as the ceiling plate, which we gladly took them up on. There were a couple surprises along the way (for example, they found existing wiring which was sparking, with charred drywall beside it, when they replaced the ceiling fan). These surprises were taken care of with no additional charge. Overall, an A+ experience.

Jamie was professional and friendly. He worked fast and was a great troubleshooter. He also gave us advice on how to fix our timer for our outside lights. We learned something from him, and that's invaluable.

We bought Clar Electric's $125 fan install deal through Angie's List. Other electricians told us our fan couldn't be installed with the junction box we had. They wanted to charge us a lot of money to replace the junction box and install the fan. Jamie assured us that the box was fine and that he could put the fan in without a problem. Jamie was right! He put the fan up and it is running great. We'll call Jamie next time we need an electrician.

I called Clar Electric and Jamie had some trial suggestions and after I was unable to get the Problem resolved using the suggestions he advised that he would be out to my house in the evening that day ( I work until 5PM). Jamie came out as promised, identified the problem quickly and fixed another potential problem that was occurring in the same area. Jamie was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and provided excellent service. He checked to make sure all was working properly before he left. He did an excellent job. Same day service was exceptional.

Great- Except when they got there they said they were a day early so forgot to pull the permits... Don't worry, the work is code. Next project the building inspectors failed it and won't let us finish the bathroom remodel until we have it done again. We won't be calling Jamie Clar in the future.

We highly recommend Clar. There were no surprises--Jamie was on time and did a great job for the quoted price. He replaced an old ceiling fan with a new one. He was quick, professional and personable. The new fan is quiet and stable and, before he left, he showed us all the fan's features. We are very satisfied and would use this provider again.

We called on a Saturday for emergency service after accidentally cutting an electrical wire on the outside of our home. The owner, Jamie, responded very quickly to the voice mail I left and was out to repair the wire in a few hours. He gave us the price upfront and was professional, very friendly, and knowledgeable when we arrived. He was done in an hour and our power was back on to the garage. We were very happy with the service and would definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

I usually don't write reviews, but Jamie deserves one. I contacted him after a recommendation and I am hereby recommending him to everyone. He check wires after big leak in ceiling around light fixtures (cans) to see if electric work needed to be done. I feel other guy would have taken advantage and said "yes, you need to do this, and that...blablabla" Jamie actually was honest and said everything looks fine. He came to my place on a Saturday and didn't even charge me a dime! We need more Jamies and less scam artists.

We were very pleased with Clar Electric. Jamie came out to give us an estimate. He was willing to come after work to talk with both of us and had some good ideas on how to handle a couple of our projects. He was very good to explain the process and what it would entail. Phil and Tom came out to do the work over 2 days and they were great. Their workmanship is wonderful. They are very easy to deal with and communicate very well on different options. They cleaned up beautifully. With the bathroom fan, recessed lights and ceiling fan......it looked like the fixtures had always been there! It's wonderful. We will need to have some plaster work done for the dining room fixture (which Jaime was great about connecting us with a person to do that work) and Jaime will return to hang the fixture once the plaster/painting work is done. We would definitely ask them back for future projects. We felt very confident in their work - great experience overall!

My old ceiling fan was sparking. Angie's List had a deal for a fan installation from Clar Electric. Jaime came to install the fan. He was professional, friendly, helpful and did a wonderful job removing the old fan and replacing it with the new one. The old fan in the room didn't have a lighting fixture attached to it, but this one now does. He did a wonderful job, I would highly recommend Clar Electric for any sort of electrical needs and I will definitely call him again.

The electricians were punctual and efficient, one week later we had a problem with the remote control for one of the fans. We tried changing the batteries and we called the company for help in the matter. They told us to do exactly what we had already done and failed in rectifying the problem. When we mentioned this to them they told us to buy a new fan. NOT only were they not helpful but they were rude and dismissive in their attitude. We ended up calling the fan company to sort the problem out which they did immediately (without buying a new fan). Will never use this company again.

GREAT! I have used Jamie before and been so very pleased. The ceiling fan in the kitchen was noisy and I was concerned. I bought a new fan and light kit to replace it. Jamie came in the time frame he had promised. Before he started, I asked him to check another ceiling fan for safety (was fine), put my bathroom fixture up that I had taken down and could not get up again, and assess the present ceiling fan to be replaced. Jamie did all this with efficiency, yet taking the time to do each thing well. He thought he might be able to fix the ceiling fan with balancing and replacing screws on the blades. He went to his truck and got materials I did not have. He did the repairs and noticed in the short time the fan was on that the motor casing was very hot. Dangerous to leave up. So I decided to replace the ceiling fan. Jamie took down the old fan and found things had been gerry-rigged and needed to be fixed. He was able to fix the materials, install the new fan and the new light kit. He also asked what length I would ike the pulls for fan and light, since I had bought more chain. He did it just as I asked! Jamie goes above and beyond what one would expect. He is very knowledgable (30 years experience), polite, considerate, helpful, prompt, willing to work with the customer. A man of integrity--gold! I would highly recommend him for any electrical needs.

He did not charge us for this second install, although he was well within his right to. He scheduled us in to his calendar and handled this install with the same professionalism he had done before. Highly recommend him and would definitely hire him again.

Great. I purchased the install ceiling fan deal. Jamie arrived in the window given. He was very friendly. The work was done quickly and no mess was left. I asked some question about another fixture and he answered my questions. I will probably have him back to do the work on the other fixture.
