Description of Work: Beyond telling me that we had a creature living under the deck, which is why we purchased the deal, and that it would cost an additional $1200 for them to put up a protective metal barrier below ground level around the porch, nothing was done. They did not set any trap or traps as I would have expected, they just left. | |I had a competitor price the same work and it was about 60% the cost (not using exactly the same materials of course, but it would have been just as effective), but then in the end...I did it myself. Look up this type of work on This Old House website as it is not really all that challenging and our porch only has about 20 total linear feet of exposure that needed to be covered. Do it yourself if you can. I am sure that their "5 year guarantee" is what they expect to sell you on, but in truth...I give my own work a lifetime guarantee...because I am not moving anytime soon and I know that I did a good job with it. Sad to say that I did not get what I expected out of this deal and will be reluctant to use Angie's list "deals" in the future. Truthfully I wish I could get my money back as none of the work that I paid for was performed except for providing an estimate for something I ended up doing on my own.

Description of Work: We called ABC to treat a wasp nest and inspect for others. The crew was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and gave good suggestions for prevention. They're pricing is, I'd say, mid to higher level, but in the end, they handled the problem and we had no further problems with wasps.

Description of Work: A bat flew into our house. ABC arrived within 30 minutes. They caught the bat, which was resting at 20 feet on our brick fireplace. They tested and confirmed that the bat was not rabid. Results were provided within 2-3 days. Hopefully that is the only bat that will fly into our house. If another bat, or other critter comes in I won't hesitate to call ABC.

Fortunately the Skunk moved on but we did rid ourselves of an exceptionally upset racoon. | |We have used ABC in the past with similar results. Description of Work: One or more rats moved into my chipmunk burrows around the patio, backdoor, and south side of house. They evaluated the situation and set out 4 bait stations. The rats are eating the bait so hopefully they will die. ABC told me that rats take awhile to remove so they come back weekly to refill or redo the stations and check the situation. All of the people with whom I have worked have been professional, pleasant, helpful, and more than willing to share their expertise and answer all of my questions. While I was unprepared for the cost to remove the rats, I do know how intelligent and resilient they are so I am prepared to do what is necessary. Who knew rats would live under your snow during a hard winter?! Yuk!
