Description of Work: Set a trap to remove a scunck from my property

Description of Work: First visit went well. Provider arranged for animal trap. Trap was not checked regularly. Never told if animal captured. Provider was supposed to give us a contract for add'l work to wire around deck to prevent future animal ingress. Never responded to repeated phone calls. Came back from month's vacation to find deck wired and bill for $600. Called ABC and was told they would get back to us. Still haven't.

Description of Work: ABC Wildlife is one of the few companies that will help with a squirrel infestation. They were courteous, prompt, professional and careful not to leave trapped animals out for long periods of time in the incredibly harsh weather we had last year. We did have some minor mix-ups over billings so just keep good records. I don't have the heart to tally up what it cost to rid my house of squirrels (fingers crossed) and repair the damage, but it was expensive.

Description of Work: The first two traps ABC delivered were NOT triggering for the first week - I didn't know it until I checked them myself after a week. They responded immediately with new traps so I give them credit for responsiveness. I wasn't aware that "humane" treatment means leaving skunks trapped until mid afternoon before pickup - I contacted them before 8am that we had skunks in the trap. Seemed a bit long to me. Also didn't know they kill the animals - I assume in a 'humane' way but didn't ask details.

Description of Work: A family of raccoons seems to have moved into the space between my ceiling and my roof. I called ABC yesterday and Anna scheduled my appointment for Sat 9/20, indicating that she would ask about a cancellation for today (9/18) though she didn't indicate that there would be a chance of that happening. She encouraged me to click the buy it now special offer and so I did. The critters made a huge noise all night long so this morning I called AmPest and they were available to come right away. ABC called around 9:45 to say they had managed to squeeze me in, but by then AmPest was already on the way here. I would like to get a refund since I did not use ABC to perform the service. My phone experience with both companies was very good. I cannot rate ABC on service since I did not use them. Thank you, Louise Frank

Description of Work: Had racoons in attic, heard noises then saw eyes at night with flashlight. Trap set, caught one, lactating mother. Heard same noises, sent out critter catcher but he couldn't hear them, he was knocking on the walls... Go figure baby racoons are smart enough to be quiet when they hear loud noises. He left. Heard noises again, diff tech came out so we had to start over. Caught another racoon in trap so when they came out to pick it up we tried again to find them. They don't chrg to pick up and reset trap but everything else is ala carte. Gets pricey fast. |At the end of the day, had to cut 2 holes thru our shower, tech put screen up over opening in brand new roof and extracted 6 babies from exactly where I pinpointed the sounds to be coming from @ 80-85 each, had he been able to see them when he was up there they would've been 40 ea. at the end of the day, all in for over $600. I was also minus 6 baby racoons and their mama, but left with two holes in my showed walls that my husband had to go to get repair mesh to take over until we got repairman out. Our tech was good, but we couldn't always get him, if we had, I know it would've wound up being less expensive.

Description of Work: Removed racoons from attic. Was in winter and very difficult. I bought a Angies list special, and they ended up going way beyond what was reasonably included. In the end I had to pay for extra service calls, but they were very reasonable.

Description of Work: Critters were chewing holes in my cedar shake roof. ABC Wildlife Control determined it was flying squirrels doing the damage, a species I didn't know lived in this area. they inspected the exterior holes in the roof, and checked the attic. Sure enough, they found 2 dead flying squirrels in there, and then set up live traps to capture them in the attic. After trapping for 3 weeks and only 1 more flying squirrel caught, they set up cardboard entry/exit checks on some of the bigger roof holes. When those remained undisturbed, they concluded the squirrels were no longer active. Then I could get the roof repaired and holes fixed. ABC did a good job determining which type of critter was causing the damage, setting traps (which I checked daily for captures), promptly picking up the one live capture, and then setting up the final entry/exit checks on the roof holes. Different guys came out for the different visits, some more professional than others. I was concerned with the unsecured setting of a ladder against my roof which one of their guys crawled up to set the entry/exit checks. Then the ladder slipped on the ground and it looked like he was going to fall. The ladder teeth should have been set into the ground before going up there, and set up at a lower pitch angle to prevent slippage.

Description of Work: One of the employees left the gate open and my dogs escaped. Also, the covering of the cage came off and the employee did not replace it so that the animals were exposed.

Description of Work: They were very knowledgeable about animal patterns and behavior. They identified a mouse problem and set bait stations. They also recommended some extra steps we could take to seal up potential points of entry.
